(Local's tip: Try the Chocolate Heaven Cake from Jeannines Bakery or decadent French pastries from Renaud's Patisserie a couple blocks away.) The masterfully designed kitchen in coastal blues and whites is bright and well-equipped, with seating at a generously-sized island of quartz anchoring the culinary activity. Though a Keurig coffee maker is at home, the new Starbucks is just up the road too!

Outside is the enclosed courtyard, where a trickling fountain adds a tranquil backdrop to an already serene space. With the addition of the Weber gas grill, ambient lighting, seating, and immediate access to the community pool just outside the private gate, guests have ideal outdoor spaces for all seasons. Chaise lounges and patio tables surround the complex's pool terrace and there is plenty of shade under the cabana too!

In the primary suite, guests will enjoy the comfortable king-size bed, television, and pool terrace views. Grab a book from the living room library collection and hang out in the oversized armchair for hours. An attached bathroom has dual sinks, a walk-in shower, laundry, and plenty of closet space. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and television, with a full bathroom across the hallway for guest convenience.

As a point of departure, Uptown Hideaway is a great starting point for exploring the city, the coast, and surrounding communities. Perhaps a day of wine tasting or a glider ride in Santa Ynez is in order. Maybe fishing on Cachuma Lake is more in line with the group plan. Stop at the visitor center on Cabrillo Blvd. across from the beach for tons of recreational and touring options. Or for that special occasion, would a loved one appreciate a fine dining experience in Montecito? E-Bikes are the ideal way to get around, too; they're parked all over town.
