Didn’t realize the ac was only upstairs so ended up purchasing a fan but luckily with the windows open it wasn’t too hot but definitely was a bit sweaty of a sleep for us on the pull out!

Great Stay!

We really enjoyed the cottage and the location. Bonus: The culinary knives were sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was very pleasant to sit outside under the amazing tree(s) and next to the canal. This is a central location, so we were able to easily drive to local attractions - even Presque Isle.Pots and pans are available; bring your own storage containers/sandwich bags/foil.Be sure to visit the fresh eggs and vegetable stand on the left as you head into Mayville! :)

Old folks getaway

The property was very clean and quaint. It was much smaller than I had envisioned, even though it was clearly depicted in the picture shown the line. Having an old lady bladder. And having to come down those stairs from the attic to use the bathroom during the nightwere very frightening however they were clearly marked to take your time. My husband who main objective was to fish was able to catch a few perch in the inlet right outside our door. Chautauqua Lake resort was not far away.We did enjoy your stay.

Property was clean, AC in bedroom only, host easy to reach, dog friendly. Not detailed, “climbing” the stairs was literally the method of getting up to the bedroom. They were so steep that I had to use my hands and feet. Walking down required turning my feet sideways a pressing my hands against the walls. I am 70 years old. The outside was also swarming with mosquitoes, canceling out enjoying the generous common area outdoors.

Weekday Trip

It was decent overall.The Cottage is right on the inlet which is nice and the location has a lot around it.Inside the cottage was nice. There were basic cooking utensils for inside cooking but none for the grill outside so plan to bring your own if needed.The cottage was clean and had fresh linens. There was a window ac unit in the bedroom to ensure it stayed a decent temperature for sleeping. The TV was easy to use and you can log into your accounts as needed. The wifi somehow wasn't strong and tended to be kinda spotty for my devices.The hot water only lasts for 1x ten minute shower, so if multiple people want to shower in a row, with warmish water, plan accordingly. The tank takes more than 20 mintues to reheat. Also, the seasonal hot tub, means in the winter, although I'm not sure where it would be on the property, even in the winter.Unfortunately during our stay the power went out because of some high winds. The water also went out with the power, which was the most inconvenient part of this. Also, if this happens to you, know that even after the power comes back on, it took overnight for the water to come back on. Lastly, if another group rents out the other cottage near you, then be prepared to be decently close to other people in the shared outdoor space. This cottage does have its own patio and grill area which is great but you do have to walk past the other cottage to get to this one. No big deal but not super private.It'd be great if you had a large group and wanted to rent out both properties.

Room was clean. Location was also good. Would not recommend for senior citizens. Bedroom is accessed by what is basically a latter. The bathroom vanity could only be used while sitting on the toilet.
