The house was charming although it smelled musty. I will say that the queen bed needs some help because the mattress fell through the slats during the middle of the night. My major complaint was that the fireplace was listed twice in the description. One of the reasons we chose the house was because of the fireplace and the cooler weather. When we checked in there was a sticker on the fireplace that said, Do not use. It was obvious the sticker had been there for awhile. And yet, that information was not in the listing. I contacted the rental company the first night and they said they would check on it. And by the end of the week I had not heard back from them. Honesty in advertising is a must.

Stylish and spacious Cape Cod house

Spacious and comfortable Cape Cod house with stylish decor. Well-equipped sunny kitchen. Pool table in basement was a great bonus. Impeccably clean throughout. Some traffic noise from main road when in yard but not inside house. Overall we’d thoroughly recommend.

This place was so dirty that we did not end up staying at this property. They claim this was deep cleaned 3 weeks ago, cleaned again 1 week before we arrived. No way. I have never seen a place this dirty. There was grease on the oven handles, baseboards full of dirt and dust and cobwebs, the archway to enter the hallway had dust all over it. The ceiling in the kitchen had a vent and that was covered in dust as well as the ceiling around it. The bathroom baseboards just as bad but add some hair..and perhaps a used contact lens. While I know replacing filters for hvac is not part of cleaning crew duties, it is part of regular home maintenance and not sure if that had been changed in years. It was black. The house also did not smell great. The owners texted me and never took responsibility. Claimed to have great reviews for 3 years…I took a chance on this one as it only has 2 reviews from 2 years ago. I have stayed at many places and have never once felt the need to leave a rental until now. This house was cute and has great potential, it just needs a really good deep clean. I told them I hope they clean it so no one else has the same complaints as we did.
