About this property

Starfish 3 .

A pretty and spacious apartment, with all the comforts. The house as it is today is the result of an architectural salvage of an old industrial structure, nearby the hotel Molino Stucky, in the suggestive and pleasant ambiance of Giudecca island.

The apartment has an independent entrance overlooking a quiet alley and access is with a numerical code communicated during check-in.

The 90 square meter apartment is situated on two floors, it is composed of three bedrooms and it can comfortably accommodate 6 people:
- On the ground floor you will be welcomed by the living room with two sofas and TV; the living area with kitchen equipped with dishwasher, oven and microwave oven; a laundry room with washing machine and a safe box; a bathroom with shower; the first double bedroom (with a cot on request).
- Upstairs you will find a double bedroom in the open space of the mezzanine above the living area; a bathroom with shower; a bedroom with two single beds.

Free WIFI and air conditioning/heating in every room.

It is located about 150 m. from the Palanca pier (water bus). In the same area there are various types of shops and nice restaurants. Everything is outside of the big tourist flows so our guests can really dive in the most authentic Venetian life.

The island of Giudecca is separated from its namesake's canal of 300 meters from the city, but is well-served by public transport. Indeed from here all destinations can be reached: Saint Mark's, Lido with its beaches, and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.

Wonderful place

We spent 3 nights in this great apartment right across the bay from Venice. It was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable for our party of 5. Lovely restaurants nearby and the ferry to Venice was a breeze. A great way to stay out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to be able to enjoy the beauty that Venice has to offer. The rental and check in process could not have been easier. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and spacious place, the communication with the owners was so easy. Please keep in mind that this apartment is not on the main island, and we had to take a water bus everywhere, but we actually enjoyed that. Would highly recommend.

Great Place away from the hustle and bustle.

A Great Experience!

This was my first time in Venice and these hosts were exceptional!! Directions were very clear for arrival and then they really helped us understand getting around and where needed things were like a supermarket, etc. The apt was fantastic, spacious, comfortable and clean! A huge bonus for me was the washing machine after having been traveling for 2 weeks. Although not on the main island, we really appreciated the break from all of the crowds. It also felt a little bit more local and authentic. I would recommend to my family and friends in a heartbeat!

Fantastic apartment, Great location

Our family of 6 loved our stay at Stella Marina 3 and wished we could have stayed longer. Christina provided detailed instructions of location and greeted us promptly at agreed upon time. Gave us a through tour of apartment and provided detailed instructions of facilities. Very warm and kind owners. We found apartment very clean, well laid out for space, very comfortable and fully stocked with all the comforts of home. They advised us of local shopping and restaurants near by. The location is perfect and will highly recommend this fine location to everyone who plans to go to Venice. You will LOVE IT !!! Mark and Angie.

Clean and well equipped apartment on Guidecca

The apartment is situated on Giudecca which is a more peaceful and relaxing place than some other areas of Venice. Plenty of local restaurants and shops and you can be in St Marks square in ten minutes. Cristina was very helpful and met us at the vaparetto stop to show us to the apartment. The only problem was that at the last minute we were a party of 4 not 3 and we were asked to pay extra for the fourth person. I thought we had paid for the whole apartment not per person. With the tourist tax as well we had to pay an additional 123 euros on arrival. Even so we had a good holiday and I would recommend the apartment and it's location

Clean, modern and spacious in a great location

My family of six had a great stay in Stella Marina 3. We found the pictures to be very representational of the apartment; it is in great shape, modern and clean. The air conditioners kept it pleasantly cool in the heat of the Venice summer. If you have concerns about staying in Giudecca, don't. You are a short boat ride away from St. Marks, and the boats run frequently. We found it to be pleasantly quiet and a nice respite from the crowds of Venice in the summer, yet you can reach the heart of Venice very quickly. You will almost certainly want to get the unlimited passes for the water taxis. We enjoyed the location so much that we would choose to stay in Giudecca again, and we would gladly stay in Stella marina again. For reference, it is just steps away from the Hilton Molino Stucky. A nice sized grocery store and several restaurants are close, and Cristina and Iginio were pleasant and professional hosts. I hope that we will return !

Outstanding apartment with an excellent location - near it all but the feel of a neighborhood

I really enjoyed my stay at the Giudecca apartment. There were five women in our group, so it was important to us to have enough space to accommodate each in a separate bed as well as two showers. The apartment fit the description perfectly. The location is excellent! We enjoyed coming home to a more residential feeling. The hustle and bustle of Venezia is great, but having a breather from it (but not too far away) was ideal. The apartment was a very close walk to the ACTV water bus stop at Guidecca. In addition, the apartment felt like home. Given the easy directions to the grocery store and stocked cookware in the unit, we made our way to Coop a couple of times for breakfast foods, wine, and homemade dinner one night. There is a bakery nearby as well as cafes to enjoy. Christina and her husband make the place very enjoyable. There is an info binder that was a handy reference for us. Also, it was great to start our stay with some of the cooking staples left by others. We also left a few for others to share. The WiFi worked very well. I didn't stream anything, so I can not comment on video. The Guidecca apartment is an outstanding property. I hope to be able to visit again someday.

First leg of trip.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is away from the main island and it took a little getting used to figuring out what water bus to take that was most efficient to just getting across the canal. After 11PM you would need to take a more expensive water taxi. The property itself was comfortable and cheery. Bathrooms are small but this is typical.

Un très bon séjour, dans cet appartement très agréable. Nous avons apprécié le clame, la propreté de cet appartement. Nous étions avec nos 4 enfants et l'appartement est bien aménagé pour une famille nombreuse.

Fantastico!

We loved our stay in this lovely home on Giudecca! It was clean and bright and perfect for our family of four. A short walk to catch the boat into San Marco and loved that we could come home to some quiet after a long day of sight seeing. We would definitely recommend to stay here and hope to go back in the near future!

Sehr saubere und gut ausgestattete Wohnung in bester Lage

Wir waren mit drei Kindern für eine Woche in Venedig und haben in dieser schönen Wohnung auf Guidecca gewohnt. Die Lage ist super, es ist ruhig und nicht voll, aber man ist ganz schnell mit dem Vaporetto an allen bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ganz in der Nähe und man hat von Guidecca einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Hauptinsel, den man auch schön von einer der netten Bars genießen kann. Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sehr kindertauglich und die Küche enthält viele Details, die wir so bisher in italienischen Ferienwohnungen nicht zur Verfügung hatten wie Schneidemesser, Teekanne, Pürierstab, mehrere gute Pfannen ... Und alles war blitzsauber. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber nicht aufdringlich. Fazit: Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder!!

Beautiful and quite oasis!

Wonderful hostess who made our stay awesome. Met us at our boat the first day (this is on one of the main islands of Venice; you don’t want to be on the primary island — too many people)... this is perfect ..... 3 minute boat ride across. Modern, clean, comfortable

Stella Marina is the perfect place to relax from the touristy crowds of Venice and experience the beauty of this city among locals. The hosts are gracious, responsive and helpful. Traveling with a toddler can be challenging but having an accommodation like this was comfortable. Local restaurant provided take away meals and having an equipped kitchen was helpful. Cristina was always very responsive to emails and texts. Her and her huaband made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this apartment!

Great apartment, very nice landlady

Clean, spacious and modern. Very comfortable. Typical Italian shower and hot water system. Why do people who built the aqueducts have so much trouble with modern plumbing? Most gracious apartment owner. Will stay here again.

Beautiful apartment on the quiet island of Giudecca. Away from the busy streets of Venice

A bright and airy well equipped apartment easy to get to by water taxi. Excellent check in instructions from the owner especially as we arrived late at night. Giudecca is much quieter than the main areas of Venice so a welcome relief from the busy crowds around st Marks. The apartment was spacious and beautifully air conditioned, I would highly recommend it as a base for visiting Venice

A sterllar property with great hosts!

From the moment I was met at the Hilton dock, our experience was fantastic. The apartment lived up to our expectations and was presented very accurately. It is in a great neighborhood, just removed from the action enough to create a quiet atmosphere, away from the crowds of central Venice. Easily served by the Alilaguna Blue Line, and a short distance from the vaporetto stop, we couldn't ask for better. And the apartment was beautiful and immaculately clean. I would recommend this apartment to anyone! And the hosts are terrific! They helped us out with our questions and made us feel at home from the beginning of our stay to our last day. The area has a grocery store nearby, a Catholic church, and a number of very good restaurants. I was sorry we had to leave at the end of our stay!

Nous avons tous été enchantés par notre séjour à la Giudecca. L'accueil très bien organisé par Cristina , a été très sympathique . L'appartement idéalement situé , calme et tranquille , est très confortable . Parfaitement équipé , très joliment décoré ,d'une propreté exemplaire , nous ne pouvons que nous féliciter de ce choix. Après l'effervescence de Venise , l'atmosphère tranquille de la Giudecca a été un plus , durant notre séjour. Nous le recommandons chaleureusement.

Spacious Apartment on Isle of Giudecca Away From Crowds

We were two couples staying in this apartment for three days post-cruise. It is spacious and conveniently located near the Hilton Stucky dock for waterbus by Alilaguna Line. Or a public dock is just down the street for using the ACTV waterbus for getting to San Marco or other areas of interest. We bought a 3-day City Pass which gave us unlimited use of the ACTV system for getting back and forth to San Marco area. The apartment was clean and Cristina was easy to work with. There are several restaurants down the street which we found convenient. I think we made the right choice in staying on the Isle of Giudecca away from the crowds in St. Marks' Square.

Nice apartment, plenty of space.

The apartment was very accessible. Cristina was lovey. It was great to have the air-con especially with the heat. The apartment had everything you would need and was very nice to stay in. I did however find the bathrooms slightly grubby, the showers are in need of a good clean. Overall though, our stay here was great!
