Great Villa

Fabulous location in Vilamoura. Easy access to the N125 and the A22. Only 1/2 hour from Faro airport. So much to see and do in the area. Host was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this for your stay in the Algarve.

Fernando's Home

Fernando and Tanya and George the dog were very welcoming despite our arrival being delayed until the following day due to a cancelled easyJet flight. The house is spacious and the photos are a true representation of the property. However during our stay things were not as they seemed unfortunately. The electricity supply was unable to cope with a toaster, kettle and a microwave all being used at the same time and we then had to ask the owner to reset the supply from their flat below so that we could make breakfast. Not a great start to the day! The bed was very comfortable with good linen but the en suite shower leaked badly so we had to use the shower in the other bedroom as Fernando did try to repair the leak but to no avail. The balcony from the bedroom is very low but had been raised by plastic netting, as used in gardens, that had perished with the strong sunshine, with a steel wire threaded through and held together with cable ties, but which would not stop an accidental fall or stumble and is a definite health and safety issue. Also neither of the balconies had any bulbs in the lights which was not great. There is no television in the lounge, which was no problem for us, but if four adults were wanting to watch a particular programme together they would need to congregate in one of the bedrooms! Not ideal. The pool was another area of concern as we were at the property for four weeks and the pool was never cleaned and there are no sunbeds or seats around the pool. Fernando seemed unaware of any regular cleaning contract being in place which is quite disturbing considering the risk of infection from bacterial contamination. Tanya is a brilliant housekeeper and a lovely lady who cleaned and looked after us. The house is very clean, the linen and towels are of good quality and there was always lots of hot water. There are however many niggling issues that need to be rectified. By Fernando making some significant investment in the property he could turn this holiday let into a very comfortable space.

Thank you for your review and to expose your opinions about my place I started to rent my house since April 2022 and until so far I have welcome 31 different guests, and from those not even one complained about anything, I know because you did it, as your flight was in the evening and you’d like to stay until later but I had new clients arriving so that was not possible, besides the house rules say that check out is until 10 a.m.. I offered you to leave your luggage downstairs and to use my bathroom if necessary, to watch TV in my sitting room to pass the time until you would be picked up to the airport but you refused. I have many reviews from guests the most with 5 stars, everybody writes good things about the house. The bathroom was leaking badly? It was not and you know it very well, I checked and I showed to you that there was nothing wrong and you confirmed it and said you preferred to use the shower on the other room. The electricity supply was unable to cope with some devices being used at the same time. I have the maximum power allowed by the Energy Company, if you do that in another house it might happen the same, anyway it took only 1 minute to restore the power again. None of the 31 guests before complained about this. TV in the lounge: I suppose that holidaymakers are not coming here to stay home watching TV, every bedroom has one, but I have a TV connection in the lounge for the case some guests want it, I asked you about it it’s very easy I just move the TV on the back room to the lounge and you simply said: No need. The protection on the balconies made of plastic it’s absolutely strong enough to prevent that children approach the wall they can lean on it and they won’t fall, if you say that the net could be nicer? Yes, I agree, and that’s in my plans to do it. The house doesn’t need significant investments as you say, at the moment only the necessary maintenance which I always do. If the house would have all those issues, please ask yourself why 31 guests who have been here before never complained about it.? That speaks for itself. Best regards Fernando, Tanya and George

Perfect stay but……

Zeer comfortabel huis, schoon, zeer ruim en super vriendelijke eigenaar, goed aan te rijden vanuit hele Algarve. Supermarkt, strand, restaurantjes op loopafstand. Enig minpuntje, geen voorzieningen voor kinderen wat betreft kinderstoel, babybed etc. Maar dat is ook alleen maar nodig als je met kleintjes komt.

Accueil très chaleureux de Fernando et de sa femme. Le logement est propre et spacieux et très bien situé. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à visiter les sites touristiques, nous le recommandons vivement !

tres belle location

maison très agréable ,très propre.Bien située à 10 minutes de la Marina et à 10 minutes du marchè de Quarteira.Un endroit tranquille dans un lotissement, des propriétaires charmants, Monsieur parle Français et Madame Anglais.La maison est très bien èquipée.La climatisation fonctionne bien. Nous recommandons vivement.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour La maison est conforme au descriptif à l’exception de la piscine qui n’est pas très bien placée au milieu du lotissement. Un bémol dû au travaux dans la maison d’en face ce qui a généré beaucoup de bruit Lieux très propres et un hôte très disponible et agréable qui parle un français très correct

Chér André Merci pour votre commentaire. Je ne comprends pas quand vous dites que la piscine n'est pas bien située, puisqu'elle n'est qu'à 30 mètres de la maison, en seulement 20 secondes vous êtes dans la piscine. Quant aux travaux sur la maison du coin de la rue, je suis désolé mais je ne peux rien faire, heureusement les travaux seront bientôt terminés. Vous avez été des hôtes merveilleux et j'espère que vous reviendrez à l'avenir pour passer vos vacances chez moi où je serai toujours à votre disposition. Cordialement Fernando et Tanya
