Another great stay at Quarry Lodge

Our fourth visit, we love it. Great to see some changes and updates in the property which have made it even better. Lovely and clean, comfortable and sooo quiet! Hot tub and garden are great too. Lovely walks in the woods.

Comfortable house on a nice location.

We had a lovely time at Quarry Lodge. The house is very spacious and comfortable and lies beautifully in a valley of the Lydney Park estate. We booked the hot tub too which proved to be a very relaxing experience in September, looking out over the fields and forrest. There are several pubs and restaurants nearby that serve good food but be aware that they don’t serve food on Sunday afternoon.

A great cottage in a fantastic location

We loved this cottage it fulfilled our needs for what we wanted in a holiday. The cottage is lovely and the secured garden was great for our aging dogs. I would have appreciated some cleaning products and extra bin bags - but I always bring cleaning wipes away with me. It would have been handy if the garden parasol was replaced as I received a message that it had broken - It would have come in handy with the hot weather. But we had a fantastic time and hope to visit again

Comfortable cottage in lovely location

This is a lovely stylish cottage in a great location with lovely views and walks from the doorstep. All the bedrooms are good. Only downside is only one bathroom for six people.

Beautiful house in wonderful countryside, we had a lovely stay. The only issue we had is with the hot water (there didn’t seem to be enough for the 6 of us) and lack of indoor downstairs loo/bathroom. Other than that would highly recommend.

Beautiful location and accommodation

We have just returned from a beautiful weekend away at this property for my dad’s 70th birthday. The property is really lovely as is the location. Prior to the visit the housekeeper Tracey was so accommodating and helpful too. The only downside is one bathroom and for 6 guests there was often a queue for toilet or shower! Apart from that highly recommend!

Perfect place for weekend away

We had an amazing weekend. The lodge was exactly what we were looking for. Surrounded by nature, the kids had endless games to play outside while parents enjoyed the beauty and calm of this place.

Beautiful view and so quiet

What a lovely house. It has it all. Great surroundings, lots of wildlife and a pub down the road. We had a fantastic break with our family of four.

Location Location Location!!

Outstanding property and the surroundings were ideal, especially if you take a dog with you. The walks straight from the property were perfect for our energetic water loving Cocker Spaniel. We will definitely be back!

Stunning place to stay.

Stayed, 6 adults, a 1 year old and 2 dachshunds for 4 nights in June. Beautiful accommodation in stunning setting. All rooms are an excellent size, furnished to a high standard. Comfortable beds and enough seating in the living room fit everyone. Unfortunately I didn’t get to use the games room. There is a laundry room in an out building with additional toilet, having another toilet was essential as 6 adults and 1 bathroom in the main house often ment a que forming. We found the remote control for the tv would not always work but just downloaded an app on the phone did the trick. We felt it wasn’t enough to bother our hosts with. The hot tub was very warm and relaxing. Not over looked at all. The garden was big enough and secure for our dogs and little one to run and play.

Amazing view from the hot tub!

Quarry Lodge is spacious, well decorated, well furnished and very comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all. Can fully recommend paying for the hot tub as it's perfect with a view of the surrounding trees. Great base for exploring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. We hope to return!

A Slice of Heaven in the Countryside

Honestly if we could give it 10 Stars we would, it was just a little piece of chilled out Paradise. The photos absolutely do not do the scenery justice. It’s a stunning home in a gorgeous setting. We can’t wait to go back!

A great stay at Quarry Lodge

Lovely location for the property, really quiet and relatively remote which is what we wanted. Great dog walks right on the door step (literally). Property was in great condition, hot tub was nice and the games room was a great addition. Housekeeper was easy to contact with a couple of questions. A fantastic stay and we would return.
