What an amazing apartment! When you enter and see the decor of the place, you really feel like you are in a museum in Rome. This place is so charming that it was wonderful to come back to after a day in the city. The location is fabulous and we were within walking distance of so many historical sites. There were several wonderful restaurants within two blocks. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Beautiful!

Everything was perfect for our stay in the heart of Rome. The host allowed us to drop off luggage hours before check-in so we didn’t have to lug it around with us. It was close to historical sites and good food, including an amazing coffee and breakfast place a short walk away. Very quiet place with amazing views off the balcony. We’d stay again here in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here in Rome. The location as absolutely perfect and it made exploring the city easy. We loved the terrace for dining at lunch and watching the sunrise in the morning. There were so many wonderful restaurants in the area that were some of our favorites of our Italy trip. Our host very responsive and helpful during our stay. We would love to return sometime soon!

Great stay with convenient location

While we might’ve been a little unsure at first, with its centralized location, baroque charm, and comfortable facilities, this listing was probably our favorite during our 2 weeks throughout Italy. Riccardo was a very accommodating and helpful host overall!

A unique property. It was a quiet space and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient and kept us cool in midst of a heat wave in Rome. We were walking distance to the sights. Note that there are several flights of narrow staircases to reach the apartment, so as recommended by the owner, you should pack light suitcases that you can carry. We really enjoyed our morning cup of coffee made with the Bialetti coffee maker and have purchased one for home. There are some rough finishes with some of the woodwork. If you are not okay with that, then this is not the place for you. However, if you are open to trying something different, and open to an artists vision in creating a baroque style setting with frescos, cherubs, angels, and the like with views of century old roof tops and church domes, then give it a go.

Air conditioning in main area was broken the day we got there and was not fixed for entire stay. Had to keep doors to bedroom closed just to at least sleep in a cool room as the one in bedroom could not cool down both rooms so was not really able to use entire apartment and just stay in the bedroom when we were there to rest and cool down in between sight seeing. Bathroom could really use a thorough cleaning n felt like a sauna the entire time. The location could not have been better. Very close to everything. Host was kind enough to let us put our luggage in apartment early as we had an early arrival.

Peaceful city centre getaway

Riccardo is a fantastic host. His baroque apartment has tons of character. Loved sitting on the balcony for breakfast and drinks. Very comfortable bed. Excellent location with lovely restaurants, cafes & small shops on the doorstep. Riccardo met us on arrival and even organised our departure airport taxi. Definitely recommend

The rustic antique baroque style apartment brought about a connection to history. We enjoyed the view from the balcony, the air conditioning provided respite from the hot summer days. The location is conveniently located near public transit, shops and restaurants. The host is responsive, attentive and flexible. I would recommend to anybody that would want a little extra added to their Italian experience.

What a super comfortable, clean, and beautiful oasis from the hustle and bustle of being conveniently located in the best central area to walk to Trastavere, grocery store, Jewish quarter food, all main attractions and even the Castle St Angelo or St Peters. The towel are thick cotton but dried without a dryer so a bit scratchy. There are many stairs but you would not have the best thing about the apt without them, the terrace and view!!! The fresh air with the windows open is incredible 4 stories up also!!! The air conditioner is a bit inefficient but we did not let Riccardo know because it was May and only warm in the afternoon. The little refrigerator and stove is so convenient. The shower is heavenly and the bed is comfy!! 4 night of great Rome living!!Riccardo is very responsive, we didn't tell him about any issues because we were too busy loving our Roman nest!!!!

Very interesting place. Had what we needed for a five night stay while exploring Rome before a cruise. I would advise that the stairs can be challenging if you are not semi-fit and transporting luggage is not for the weak. The shower also needs some work. But overall, we were not there to hang out in the apartment, so it worked fine and the location is excellent. We walked everywhere.

Beautiful! truly an amazing apartment in a great location of the city. 15 minutes walking to a lot of attractions and even less time to more unique local neighborhoods. The apartment is one of a kind with so much detail and very liveable. We loved being here and will continue to book when we return to rome in the future. riccardo, the host, is also super kind and responsive. Made sure the entire process was very smooth and accommodating.

Riccardo was a great host. He met us at the apartment and gave us information about the local area and culture. The apartment is beautiful. Well appointed. A great location for everything you’ll need in the historical centre of Rome. You even get used to the three flights of stairs after a while. I cannot more highly recommend this apartment for anyone who staying in Rome and wants to be close to where the heart of the city beats. Thanks Riccardo.

Excellent Host

The apartment is in the center of town, and certainly walkable to many important sites. We happen to be there during an intense heat wave, which made walking a challenge. The apartment is as described, quite a few stairs (70) to get to the apartment, but manageable in a city of cobblestone and stairs. For the location, it is surprisingly quiet, other than a lovely church bell that chimed every so often. It is very eclectic and interesting space to be in. Because of its age, it feels like it might not be clean, but it is. Host Riccardo is incredible! He helped up check in early (to drop off bags), showed us the ropes, has a binder of suggestions and wifi and apartment information. He was easy to reach and quick in response! The apartment truly matches the vibe of Rome!

Küchenausstattung -Töpfe, Messer,... waren in schlechtem Zustand und sollten erneuert werden.Licht in der Küche, und Leselampen wurden trotz Anfrage beim Vermieter nicht repariert. Dusche und Waschbecken im Badezimmer sind aufgrund der Amaturen nicht tauglich.Außerdem fehlt es an nicht maroden Sitzgelegenheiten.Die Matratzen waren jedoch ausgezeichnet.
