About this property
Wonderful Coastal Contemporary- High Point-Ocean Access
High Point is a light filled 3 bedroom shingle style contemporary on a quiet peninsula in beautiful Camden, Maine with ocean access and a warm, comfy summerhouse vibe. It is very private on 3 acres with a right of way to the shore, yet close to town. Camden is “where the mountains meet the sea”. Mount Battie state park on Penobscot Bay is a mile from the house. This is our primary home and is very comfortable with 3 spaciius bedrooms and a large well equipped kitchen that opens on to a south facing deck with a hot tub and outdoor shower. There are extensive grounds and gardens with a pathway to the shore with Adirondack chairs perfect for relaxing and watching boats on the Bay.
Camden is home to some of the best sailing in the world and many of the Maine windjammers call Camden home. There is road and mountain biking nearby as well as hiking and a multitude of freshwater lakes.
From incredible dining to art, there is something for everyone to see and explore or simply relax in our lovely home.
Our home has a large living room, kitchen and two bedrooms downstairs and a large family room with outdoor deck, bedroom and bathroom upstairs which gives everyone space to spread out.

About the host
Hosted by Bob Gordon
We came to the area to work and sail over 35 years ago and fell in love with Camden and mid-coast Maine. I worked with Outward Bound for 30 years in a multitude of roles and my wife worked there as well early on. She then moved on to teach kindergarten in the Camden school system. We are active in the community which has so much going on and to do. . We raised two outdoor loving children who went to college out west and now live out west in the mountains of Wyoming. We spend our free time playing on Penobscot Bay or hiking and biking in the hills and mountains of Maine with trips out west as often as possible. We also built a cabin nearby in Hope, Maine and will be there when our home is rented.
Why they chose this property
High Point is very private, yet very close to town. It is a shingle style contemporary with lots of large open windows and doors which bring the outside in. We can hear the ocean and bell on the Bay from any room in the house and have a lovely right of way to the shore with chairs for taking it all in.
What makes this property unique
Our home is beautiful and very private. The location is ideal and the access to town and the water is fantastic. Close to downtown yet private and lovely property
