I never thought I'd still be doing this job after 20+ years!
I started with no background in the industry in 2001. It began as a necessity as we were young and just starting our family. We needed a space for my family and also had to find other means to supplement our mortgage payments towards an enormous debt.

Being a Filipina in my genes gives me a natural advantage. Our culture generally has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable in the world. We love to entertain and feel connected with our guests, and given some time, we eventually feel that we become like family or close friends.

With a natural talent and eye for art, I've personalized all our suites at Mistiso's Place & Morning Star Bunkieland with their own distinct and unique character. Each suite is a unique space for anybody who appreciates personal touches and artsy, eclectic decor. I'm a Virgo, so I tend to be a perfectionist and pay a lot of attention to detail.

Why do I host? It's the guests, my co-workers, and the knowledge, wisdom, & friendships that I've gained over the years that make this the best job for me ever! I genuinely enjoy & LOVE what I have gotten to do every day for the last 20 years.
