Beautiful mountain home!

Disappointed

To start with it was my husband and me our 57th wedding anniversary. No hot tub, no good tv. Terrible road going up there, and no good view, power lines hanging in front of you. The house is real nice and clean, but not the amenities and Location.

Gross!!!

The home was NOT clean! Drool on the pillow cases, dirty pans in the cabinets, silverware was not and silverware trays were full of crumbs and dirt, hair on the night stands, area rugs that had never been cleaned under (toddler shifted one of the rugs and it was clear that debris was literally just swept under the rug), sat on bar stool at table...screws fell out of it, sat in recliner on sofa, handle hit the floor. Incredibly disappointing given the $900 paid for 3 nights. We ended up leaving an entire day early.

Roaches/Bed Bugs (1 room), nice cabin

We visited Town Mountain Lodge from 9/2-9/5. Upon arrival we had to kill 2 roaches in the kitchen area and at least 4 more throughout the stay. The ultimate disappointment came when one of my family members went to bed only to find 2 bed bugs in their bed. That couple had to move to another room which was vacant because my dad was in the hospital.I immediately called Vacassa to explain the situation w the bugs. When I gave my name, the staff member stated they needed to talk to my dad because he’s listed as the only person staying in the cabin. I explained to the staff member that I booked the vacation using my dads card and he is unavailable due to being in the hospital and that I entered there would be 8 guest staying. She stated they had no names and I replied we were never told we had to list names. Management Melanie (I think), called the next day and she was awesome, sending an exterminator and making sure we were comfortable. Also offered to compensate for any inconvenience. Overall we made the best of it because there was a spare room, but I’ve never had to experience bed bugs in a costly rental. Ron

Beautiful cabin. Has everything you need. The location isn't as remote as some might like, but still we had enough privacy. The road to access the property wasn't bad either when compared to others I've stayed at.

Recent stay

This place was amazing! Very spacious and clean and centrally located to downtown Bryson. I have a large family and this cabin was very accommodating and equipped with everything we needed. The drive was easy and the road was smooth. The deck has a beautiful view, clean hot tub, and perfectly located fire pit out front. I would highly recommend staying here! My family and I will definitely be returning!

Weekend hike

The cabin was very nice. Clean. Spacious. Quiet. We had plenty of room for 6 people. Overall exceptional. Our only general feedback are the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. But, only the older members of the group (53 and 55) had complaints of joint aches :)

Such A Perfect Family Vacation

We loved our stay here so much! The property was clean, had towels, and the kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots/pans/bowls etc. There was even some salt and pepper. We did have an issues where we could not get the wifi to work but it was not that big of a deal bc we were able to use our phones for a hot spot (we had perfect cell service) The drive up to the property is a bit rough. We booked this property bc of the predicted snow but failed to arrive before it started it is much worse than the "moderate incline" listed and our SUV would not make it up hill on the ice so we actually had knock on a neighbors door at the bottom of the road (who was as sweet as can be) and ask to park in her driveway, she let us borrow her wagon so we had to pull our luggage and hike up the gravel road to the cabin. This is more our fault than theirs bc the snow storm started earlier than expected. Just be prepared if you find yourself wanting to go in the snow. Once there we did not leave (other than my husband hiking down to go to the grocery store that is about 2 minutes away) so it was the perfect snowy cabin on the mountain with a hot tub (that we loved) while the snow fell. We definitely recommend (just be cautious of the steep gravel road to the cabin itself and maybe bring tire chains if they are calling for snow and ice) don't be us lol

True Mountain House

Nice Stay

The house is well stocked. It fit our group just fine. The porch and fire pit are enjoyable. We had a nice stay overall! The road to the house is rough, as mentioned in the booking details. The view is not as nice as expected but the porch is great for hanging out.

Great Vacation

This home is very spacious and love the view from the porch. We love spending time in this area. Could not be happier with the four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked and large so plenty of space for meal prep. Great dining room are as well.

Great little cabin close to everything

Overall our stay was great! It was us and another couple. Beds were pretty comfortable. Everything looked clean and tidy. Very convenient to Ingles and downtown area. Would definitely stay again.
