This villa was built in the end of 19th century and fully renovated in the year of 2012. It is placed in a pitoresque part of Istria, its central part, in a village named Livade. The touch of past that this villa evokes is combined with all of the contemporary benefits, such as air conditioning, WiFi internet, private swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen as well as the laundry room. The capacity of this two-bedroom villa is 6 persons, and also a baby crib and feeding chair are available upon request. There are 2 bicycles at your disposal and for the fans of less phisical activities, there is a barbecue ready for use. Last, but not least, the villa has a breathtaking view from the terrace. Just a walk away there is a horse ranch where you can hire a guide and have a riding tour of the area. The nearest beaches are in Novigrad, Poreč and Tar, around 20 kilometres away, the nearest spa 10 km, the airport distance is 70 km and a shop and a restaurant can be found in Livade, the same place where villa Aurora is located.

Off the beaten track in Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - just outside the husstle and bustle of touristy attractions. The area is so peaceful, and the accommodation was just perfect for us. Karmela could not have done any more to make our stay perfect. Thank you so much - we will certainly be back.

Lovely Stone House in Beautiful Area...and some points to consider

We had a great holiday in this very comfortable stone house with its very high quality of renovation, and very well maintained pool. It is one of around six properties in a quiet hamlet, clustered around a single track road that stops after the house. The views over the hills and to Motovun are magnificent. The owners were very helpful, friendly and provided local information at meet and greet time and at drop off of fresh linen and towels. We came to really love the quirky stone house and especially the pool which is very private, not overlooked and usually quiet and peaceful. It is a few kilometres down the single track road to Livade which has three restaurants and a little shop. Apparently the village is busy during the day with truffle tourists, but in June/July we found it could be almost deserted in the evening (and apart from Truffle Festival time in Sept when it is said to be rammed). About 20 minutes by car to swim at Novigrad which has the usual Istrian concrete and rocks beach but walkways out into the lovely clear and warm sea and plenty of restaurants. It wasn't busy there in June/July but said to be very busy in August when schools are broken up. We really enjoyed our stay and had a fabulous holiday, but would offer some points to consider. On the other side of the track, directly opposite your lovely outside covered table area is the owner's second rental property. You therefore have near neighbours with their pool at the front of the house. This may be important to you if you are seeking isolation and dead quiet. There are 52 steep steps up to the pool behind the house (the stone steps shown in the photos) which means you are away from the neighbours and have a great view but you will need good knees!! There was occasional noise poolside from the neighbours renovation work but generally lovely and peaceful. (There are wasps a plenty drinking at the pool but they do not bother you at all.). The upstairs bedroom has lovely but low wooden beams and as am tall chose other bedroom. This is very cool set into the rock under the main house. It can only be reached by walking along the track to the bedroom door as there is no internal house access. This was a quirk we loved - there is no traffic - but may be a consideration. Only other trivial point was that there is no proper toaster!

Great holidays

We enjoyed our stay in Villa Aurora very much. The house is situated at the end of a small road, very romantic on a terraced land with quite a big pool. From up there you have a wonderful view to Motovun. You have places in the shadow and in the sun - whatever you like. The kitchen was fully equipped, the rooms nice and clean. The washing machine was helpful since we travelled with children. Our communication with Adrian & Karmela was very good, they responded quickly and gave tipps for getting around. They have a telescope in the house and so we could enjoy watching the stars during the night. This is definitely a house to come back to and spend another holiday!

Séjour très très agréable et reposant

La maison se trouve dans un village appeler Livade. Une très belle vue sur Motovun. La maison belle, propre et bien entretenue. Les propriétaires nous ont accueilli les bras ouvert, serviable et aux petits soins.( merci pour le cadeau d‘anniversaire Adrian et Karmela). La piscine en hauteur splendide. Nous recommandons et reviendrons très certainement.

Natur pur mit traumhaften Pool

Das alte istrische Haus ist klein, aber fein. Es wurde sehr liebevoll gestaltet und es fehlte uns an Nichts. Das Besondere aber ist, dass die verschiedenen Nutzflächen, wie der Grillplatz und der absolut einzigartige Pool auf verschiedenen Ebenen zu finden sind. Dazwischen wandelt man durch einen einzigartigen Kräutergarten mit Büschen und Bäumen. Traumhaft! Man ist absolut ungestört, obwohl in Sichtweite ( von dichten Büschen begrenzt) das nächste Haus steht. Die Poolterrasse ist nicht einsehbar und dahinter beginnt der Wald. Schöner kann man nicht wohnen. Aber wunderschön ist auch der Blick auf Motovun. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sehr diskret. Zum Empfang gab es sogar selbst gebackenen Kuchen, Obst, Saft und Wein.

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Super Lage, super ruhig, in 25 Minuten am Meer. Tolle Radtourmöglichkeiten auf einsamen gut ausgebauten Straßen.

Wir waren eine Woche mit zwei Kindern und Grosseltern in der Villa. Adrian, der Vermieter des Hauses ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir standen 5 Stunden im Stau, er hat auf uns bis 20 Uhr gewartet um das Haus zu übergeben. Die Villa ist sehr sauber, frische Handtücher und saubere Bettwäsche. Der Pool ist ein Traum. Volle Punktzahl, wir würden auf jedenfall wiederkommen.

Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus. Alles entsprach der Beschreibung. Es ist sauber und sehr gepflegt. Alles ist vorhanden und in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besuche (z. B. zum Bettwäsche- oder Handtuchwechsel werden am Vortag angekündigt. Der Pool ist ein absoluter Traum. An drei Seiten mit Wald umgeben und auf der vierten Seite der Blick ins Mirnatal und nach Motovun. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Wunderschönes Haus an einem wunderschönen Ort

Wir sind sehr herzlich von den Besitzern empfangen worden und mit den nötigen Tipps für einen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub versorgt worden. Das Haus eignet sich ideal für vier Personen, ist liebevoll gestaltet und sehr sauber. Auch der Garten und der Pool sind wunderschön. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Rust, fraaie omgeving en veel privacy

Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven, dit Villa Aurora. Het ligt in de heuvels bij Livade en Motovun en dat betekent: truffels! De woning stamt uit 1895 en is van alle gemakken voorzien (inclusief airco, wat geen overbodige luxe is in juli). Een van de slaapkamers is onder het huis, met een eigen ingang en badkamer. Het zwembad ligt boven het huisje en je moet daar een trap voor beklimmen. Maar dan lig je ook in het water met uitzicht op Motovun en de omliggende heuvels. Heel erg mooi! Met name bij het zwembad is privacy gegarandeerd. Wij kozen voor een paa stranddagen bij Zelena Laguna, net onder Porec. Dat is ongeveer drie kwartier rijden maar dan heb je een fraaie kust, een prachtige zee en het is er schaduwrijk en relatief rustig. Sla dan vooral ook Groznjan niet over; fraai stadje hier vlakbij. Eigenaren zijn uitermate vriendelijk en het is erg eenvoudig om contact met ze hebben en houden. Als je rust zoekt en van een fraaie omgeving houdt, dan hoef je eigenlijk niet verder te zoeken. Wij waren hier met ons gezin met twee kinderen van 13 en 11 en ook zij hadden het geweldig naar hun zin. Overigens is het voor fietsers die van klimmen houden erg goed vertoeven hier!

Ruhige Villa in schöner Aussicht

Wir waren Ostern für eine Woche in der Villa und haben ausgesprochen schöne Tage erlebt. Netter Empfang, der Eigentümer war immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Eltern der Besitzer waren in der Nähe und konnten mit Kleinigkeiten stets aushelfen. Sehr ruhige und abgeschiedene Lage am Ende einer Sackgasse. Der Pool ist über eine Steintreppe erreichbar, man hat von ihm einen traumhaften Blick ins Mirnatal und auf Motovun. Auf dem mittelhoch gelegenen Grillplatz konnte man auch Ostern schon windgeschützt die Sonne genießen. Eingangsbereich und der Hang sind ansprechend bepflanzt, vor allem draußen am Pool und der Terrasse fühlten wir uns sehr wohl. Das untere, von außen zugängliche Zimmer ist sehr hell und freundlich mit liebevollen Details ausgestattet. Wir waren zu dritt, bis zu vier Personen perfekt. Vier Fahrräder stehen zur freien Verfügung (Parenzana Strecke geht direkt in der Nähe vorbei).

Breathtaking view, and a heartwarming hospitality

We were received in a heartwarming way by the owners who gave us an immediate strong impression of the Croatian hospitality. The view from the swimming pool of the beautiful old town of Motovun is truly breathtaking. The villa is located in a perfect location if you wish to explore the whole island of Istria. We have traveled a lot and visited many places and I can say that Villa Aurora belongs on top of our best memories. I often think back on our great conversations and interactions with Santa (hi exists and is the father of the owner ;-), his kindness and his little gifts (local fruits and vegetables and great vine :)) When you get an unforgettable experience, it is with pleasure that you want to do something back. That is why I write this review and highly recommend this villa. I.M from Belgium
