The location of the house works well. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we saw deer from the living room. We had 5 adults and a 3 year old and we fit in the house nicely. Plenty of kitchen cabinets and counter space. Beds were very comfy. We would stay again for sure.
The house was clean and welcoming, in a quiet location. The deck was huge and shaded. Large parking area if you have a boat etc. One of the best places we have stayed.
Great place for the three of us guys fishing for the weekend. Quiet neighborhood, excellent host who has thought of everything one could need while getting away. Would highly recommend!
We needed a place to stay during the Charlevoix marathon and have dogs too. This home was perfect! The neighborhood was quiet, near hiking trails, swimming, boating, etc. The house wasclean, had everything we needed, and the yard was spacious for the dogs. great
Clean & Cozy and nicely situated between friends we visited. Quiet setting with everything we needed. Thanks to Hostess for set-up & quick communications.
This is our third winter staying at the house on 5th. So convenient to head to activities in Boyne City, Charlevoix. And close to family in East Jordan
Our stay was great at the house on 5th. Close to the wedding and reception we were attending. Outdoor space was great! Accommodations were exactly what we needed. Rhonda was very quick to respond to any questions I threw her way! Plenty of parking...of course everyone drove separately ;-)
We stayed for our son's wedding and Rhonda made it so special, she thought of every detail she had everything we would need. Very clean, very quiet just a really awesome place to stay we will be back again. Bed was very comfy also, and bonus was being able to bring our fur babies. Thank you for everything.
This house gave a great “at home” feeling. It was clean and had a great location for us to visit with our family that live locally. The host was so kind and prompt to respond to my messages. We will definitely stay here again if we visit East Jordan in the future. The porch was so nice to sit out on and enjoy the weather. The yard was nice, big and beautiful! The neighbors we very friendly and the neighborhood was very quiet. The beds were soft and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. 5 stars!!!!!
We stayed for a week at this house with our two cocker spaniels. The location was great for going to Charlevoix, Petosky, and Traverse City. The home was very clean and offered everything we needed and then some for a comfortable stay. The bed (master) was comfortable and there was an abundance of towels, cookware, etc. While we didn’t use the other two bedrooms but the spaces were adequate and thoughtfully set up. Yes, the washer and dryer are in a bedroom, but who cares? The ability to do laundry outweighs the location :). The communication with the host was prompt and thorough. I have allergies so we unplugged the air freshener when we arrived and with open windows the fragrance was quickly gone. We would stay here again!
Easily the worst travel experience I've ever had. Deceptive photos. What you don't see in one is that the bed is in the laundry room (and the dryer is not hooked up safely to code). In the bathroom, what you don't see in the photos, is mold growing on the ceiling (the ventilation fan doesn't have a switch on the wall), a leaking pipe that is growing a science experiment, a bucket of standing water under the sink. The shower screeches loudly and is either scalding hot or freezing cold. In another bedroom what you don't see is that the mattress is easily 30+ old. You sink right in while it folds like a taco. Also, the carpet is moist and moldy.
Owner was difficult to work with on these issues and, in fact, in one of her response was VERY mocking and rude. Further, she threatened to leave a bad review about me if I left one about her. I don't care. I'd rather no other traveler have to be subjected to the conditions and rudeness that Rhonda subjected us to. She has been unresponsive to VRBO's continued investigation of the safety concerns for over 24 hours as of this writing. What's interesting is that she claims to have had no complaints in 5 years. But when I made my reservation in April 2021 it said "new listing". And the "guest book" on the table started with entries in May 2021. It's more likely she's only had 3-4 reservations in the couple of months she's been on VRBO. I would never complain if it was just an issue or two. I'd rather work it out with the owner. But all of the above made for a major need to warn my fellow traveler.
Excellent location to stay. We loved it. Very nice home across from a ball field. It was perfect to walk our dogs safely. Nice town and friendly people.
