About this property
New cabin w/ hot tub, fireplace near National Park
Soak in a hot tub in our newly remodeled cabin, renovated from foundation to roof (Permit 20-NCD0388). HD television, patio, grill, washer, dryer and more! We are 5 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, and two blocks to a local market, liquor store, and the town's best restaurants. At 480 s/f the space is small but mighty!
+ Ideal for couples
+ Year round hot tub
+ 1gb fiber Internet
Great basecamp for your adventures!
First, a few house rules!
- We have neighbors, so loud noises in the hot tub are totally prohibited.
- No smoking inside or outside; no fire pits; no parties; no pets.
- Guests must start a load of towels at checkout and load/start dishwasher.
- No early check in or late checkouts. Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier.
Now, onward!
My husband and I are long time Estes Park residents and want to welcome you to our small slice of paradise. Our cabin, which we remodeled in 2022, is now open for your enjoyment. We left some of the original touches dating back from the early 1930s, like the original logs you see in the bathroom, but this is basically a brand new, extremely cute basecamp for your Rocky Mountain adventures.
SPA
Sooth tired muscles under the stars in our hot tub, easily accessible via a concrete walkway from our front door.
COOKING/FOOD
Cook gourmet meals in our fully equipped kitchen -- or head a few blocks down the hill to Bird and Jim, a culinary adventure and our town's very best restaurant. If you want to cook and eat outside during our warm summer evenings, guests can use the outdoor patio with a table and a Weber gas grill.
HEAT AND AC
A super energy efficient mini split offers both AC and heat. The heated floors keep your feet toasty warm, and the Jotul fireplace in the corner offers a romantic ambiance and warmth.
ENTERTAINMENT
On the entertainment front, we've got the town's new fiber Internet, which is the fastest WiFi available in the mountains, plus a HD smart TV with a Roku so you can bring your own channel logins and stream to your heart's content.
SLEEPING
Our bed set up with a brand new queen size memory foam mattress, medium/firm like most hotel mattresses so it caters to just about everyone. It's actually more comfy than our own bed :)
We've also got a pullout queen size sofa bed for extra guests, so the unit can accommodate 3 or 4 people. Note there's an extra per person fee for more than 2 people.
WILDILFE
Because our home is located on the slopes of Prospect Mountain, you will likely see elk grazing in the yard. There is a herd of wild turkeys that roam free in the neighborhood.
You'll have access to:
+ 2 private off street parking spots
+ Patio & private hot tub
+ Bathroom w/ shower
+ Open Floorplan studio
+ Full kitchen with dining area
+ Full size washer and dryer
I have turned over management to my friends Matt, Nathan and Nancy - they are available any time you have questions or need help!
Our home is in a wonderful, sunny neighborhood on the flank of Prospect Mountain on Marys Lake Road. From our yard you can see straight into Lumpy Ridge and the towering Sundance Buttress.
The neighborhood is incredibly convenient. You can walk a few blocks down Marys Lake Road to The Country Supermarket, where you'll find a fully stocked yet uncrowded local market. They have awesome to-go deli sandwiches too. Adjacent to the market is Scratch Deli, offering amazing hand crafted warm sandwiches, plus Bird and Jim, by far the best restaurant in Estes Park. We love the place, and the owners are friends of ours.
Our home is on the west side of Estes Park, so you don't have to brave downtown traffic to get into the National Park. In the summer months this will save you a lot of time in the car! Driving into the center of town is a short 3-5 minute journey, and the Park Entrance is a couple minutes the other direction.
During the summer, there's a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You'll want to walk to the Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, where the nearby Country Supermarket is), both of which are within a few blocks' distance.
NOISE
Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Please treat our neighbors like you'd want to be treated.
The house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (we will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet.
NONPAYING GUESTS
Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests and deter parties.
ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE
There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. The platform will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count.
BEARS
Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!
FIRES
Estes nearly burned to the ground a few years ago and as a result, outdoor fire pits are now banned year round in our vacation homes. Do not make a fire pit -- they're totally illegal.
MINUT
We use a Minut noise meter. It doesn't record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. It's located on the cieling in the kitchen.
- No loud music or convos in hot tub
- To keep cleaning fees low, please throw their towels and sheets into the washer and start the load before leaving, plus load and start dishwasher.
- Please respect the neighbors who rent the other cabins nearby
- No loud parties or noises, no illegal internet usage.
