Carriage House Hosted by Paul and Claudia

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space for a week-long Saturday-to-Saturday stay. Gift yourself a private, secluded, beautifully-appointed second floor apartment over our newly constructed garage. Has a light-filled great room with nine-foot ceilings (full kitchen, dining, living), two bedrooms with queen beds, and one bathroom. Amenities include washer, dryer, bathtub, miscellaneous essentials, hair dryer, heating, and window AC. You will love it -- guaranteed!

The space
There's always a refreshing breeze off the lake and the pines provide cooling shade and privacy. The stars are breathtaking on a clear night!! Brand new construction and furnishings. The apartment is not suitable for children. No pets or smoking permitted.

Wifi works great— it was able to support three of our guests all working remotely at the same time. The TV has streaming options that work without any buffering and there's a house phone available for guests to use.

There are sixteen steps up to the apartment and a combination lockpad at the door.

Nice visit to Acadia

Perfect location to stay when you go to Acadia National Park. About 20 minutes to shopping and restaurants at Bar Harbor. The unit is above a garage, is clean, was stocked with general essentials: toilet paper, paper towel, soap, shampoo, etc … beds were comfortable and several hikes at Acadia are just down the street less than 5 minutes away.

The Carriage house was a perfect location to enjoy all areas of the island. It is tucked in near the woods, quiet and incredible place to sit and star gaze. The beauty and incredible mountains of Acadia National Park were so close and seemed to have differing climbs, walks, and sites for all to enjoy. Comfortable and clean with the host providing everything needed to make us feel at home for our stay. Short drive for us to enjoy many wonderful restaurants and walking around Bar Harbor shops. Our first time in Maine and it was awesome!

Nice place

Very clean, Paul was great.. beautiful area. Could use a pot large enough to cook pasta, etc. Other than that the home was perfect for our needs. Great location for easy access to all parts of the island.

Perfect location

Initially we had wanted to stay in Bar Harbor but it was too expensive. This place was located near great hiking and a beach. We had easy access to other parts of Mt Desert island. Paul was a great host and provided all the information about the area. Places to eat, hike, swim and even grocery shop. He was thorough about his rental. It was super clean and comfortable. It had anything you needed.

Absolutely wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Acadia National Park. The property had everything we needed and was a great location for everything on mount desert island. You can even walk to the Acadia Mtn trail from the house. Acadia was wonderful and definitely hope to return soon and if possible would stay here again. Paul, our host, was wonderful. Greeted us at check with all his knowledge of the island. Very helpful with what we wanted to do and when we had a hiccup with our car during our stay he was extremely helpful and overly accommodating. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!!!!!
