Idyllic for a couple or solo travelers who appreciate living by the sea.Our historical, 19th-century comfortable waterfront house is located in the heart of Rockport directly on Rockport's peaceful Old Harbor. Exposed beams and hardwood floors throughout with incredible panoramic views of Sandy Bay and Rockports tranquil Old Harbour. The living room, dining room and deck all face the water. You are as close as you can get to the sea. This historical property was the old customs house at the turn of the century. Ships stopped at the wharf across the bay to clear customs here. Original beams and floors are lovingly maintained.
Savour spectacular sunsets and ocean breezes from our 2nd floor home. One queen bedroom, full bath, well equipped kitchen complete this idyllic pied a terre. Rockport galleries, shops, and restaurants, are all within walking distance in the heart of Rockport's bustling Cultural District. Enjoy your coffee on our harbor front perch.View the panorama of seaside comings and goings, the quaint buildings on Bearskin Neck and Motif #1 along with the boating activities of Rockports Old Harbor. You can launch your kayak from our seaside property. Across the bay, hear the music of the Sunday summer evening's concerts .We are just a minute walk from Rockport’s stunning Shalin Liu Performance Center and The Rockport Art Assn.
The commuter train to Boston is a 10 minute walk. Back and Front beach are only a short walk from our home.
Logan airport is an hour away.
If you are looking for a refreshing dose of Vitamin SEA directly on the harbor we look forward to sharing our artful pied a terre.

My group had an amazing time staying at Peggy’s place in Rockport. The location is ideal and felt extremely comfortable and cozy. I would definitely book again, and I’m so happy I found this gem of a spot.

Perfect spot in Rockport - we loved our stay! The host was friendly and responsive, and the location couldn’t be better. It's in walking distance to shops and restaurants, and right above a great coffee shop. The place was perfect for two, with a beautiful harbor view and the sound of waves as the tide came in. We’d definitely stay again!

Yes we are in the heart of Rockports historical quaint village with shops ,galleries and restaurants all walking distance. The Shalin Liu Ctr is a few minutes walk. I also love the smell of coffee brewing or ghiradelli brownies baking at The Bean. Guests love our waterfront perch and we welcome your return.

Beautiful view, quiet apartment in the heart of Bear Skin Neck, which is a charming part of Rockport. Loved the coffee place just downstairs, cute shops all around. But the view, the view is amazing.

Great view and location

We came to Rockport for a long weekend. The place was very comfortable with an amazing view of the harbor and a perfect location. Note that it is over a cafe as mentioned in other reviews (early 6am wake-up) which didn’t bother us much. We enjoyed the close access to the cafe for breakfast and snacks.

This is an absolutely beautiful, charming, and spacious apartment in an outstanding location - right in Bearskin Neck with views of the harbor. Light sleepers will want earplugs for when the cafe comes to life early in the morning, but everything else was terrific!

Simply Wonderful

An extremely quaint, comfortable, clean place with a wonderful view. Right in the center of such a wonderful little town. Although the parking situation is rough, a neighbor was kind enough to explain about leaving the car at the T station and I used Gloucester Taxi to get around. It worked out great! It was an extremely pleasant stay with a great host!

Great get away to Rockport

We had a great few days and were able to explore many walks right from the property and the beach was just a third of a mile away. The town was just getting going for the summer and more restaurants open by the weekend. This was a great introduction to Rockport and we had a fun sail on a schooner down in Gloucester as well

What a perfect place to stay for our 25th anniversary! Peggy’s place was right in the cute town of Rockport. The view was beautiful, the cottage was adorable, and the location couldn’t have been better. I didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be back!

Exceptional location and view

We loved everything about our stay at the Waterfront apt. With views of the water on three sides and the most spectacular sunsets, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment is cozy and tasteful, and is located near all the shops and many restaurants, for easy strolling and dining.
