This 1880 historic home provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the artwork of renowned Vermont artist Edward Loedding. Downstairs; your own private 7 room gallery. This is not a public gallery; it is for the exclusive enjoyment of our guests. Upstairs, a fully appointed luxurious guest suite, all in the heart of Brandon, known as "the art and soul of Vermont". Walking distance to historic buildings, shopping, dining, and galleries, and surrounded by mountains, lakes and streams.

All of Edward's artwork on display in the gallery and guest suite is available for purchase. If you choose to buy artwork during your visit, the entire cost of your stay at The Gallery at Six will be deducted from the purchase price, up to 50% of the value of the artwork.

Dorothy is a 7th generation Vermonter with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Vermont. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Edward is a Vermonter-by-choice, residing in Brandon since 2001. Their love of this beautiful state runs deep. Edward earns his living as a visual artist, with hundreds of collectors spanning the globe as Dorothy handles the business side of their relationship. Their home and studio are on the same street as The Gallery at Six, just a short block away. Stop by for a visit to see the studio where Edward works, or just talk about the many things this charming corner of Vermont has to offer.

Why they chose this property

For years, many of Edward's collectors would ask "why don't you have a gallery in Vermont? We want to visit!" In 2015, this property became available, so they purchased it and began the task of completely gutting this 1880 house and converting it into a world-class art showcase and luxurious guest accommodations. The idea of combining a gallery with a guest suite was born of a passion for sharing both their artwork and the beautiful places that inspires it.

"Home" is a word that is profoundly important to Dorothy and Edward. It is a place where we gather, celebrate, relax, love and laugh. With this understanding, being at home with artwork means being in a private, comfortable space where you can take the time to develop a more intimate art experience than you can in a public gallery or museum.
