About this property
2024 Custom Home in the Blue Ridge Mtns w Hot Tub!
Thank you for choosing the Tetris House. Named for a popular video game (see our floor plan), the Tetris House is an upscale couple’s sanctuary with private hot tub, designed to offer maximum style and comfort. Our modern mountain cabin has one king-sized bedroom, adjacent to a luxurious main bathroom and dressing area. The beautiful open concept living, dining and kitchen area opens to a 35-foot long deck overlooking a pond. Our best hidden feature: the HEATED TILE FLOOR throughout.
Situated between two ponds, the Tetris House ceilings are high, the windows expansive. Master bedroom, living room and kitchen are all interconnected in uniquely defined spaces.
Enjoy a full Bosch kitchen alongside custom-built Thomasville Cabinets. 1200 SF of heated tile floors will keep you cool in summer, cozy in winter. Step off the back deck to enjoy a soak in our brand new hot tub. From the front door you may view our new garden area, under development in 2025. Be on the lookout for fresh flowers and ripening tomatoes later this summer. Also, our brand new pond side pavilion is available for chilling by the fire pit and visiting our friendly goats.

About the host
Hosted by Patrick and Diane

We’re Patrick and Diane. We initially purchased our amazing 1910 log cabin next door in 2016 with the goal of creating a special vacation retreat. After extensive renovation and new construction, we have now acquired the 3 acres adjacent to the log cabin, and have completed two new homes. We are also home to a flock of laying hens, 8 friendly goats and a number of friendly, semi-feral and feral kitties. Please be aware, our parcel is almost 4 acres now, and you may see us working onsite. Each spring, we plant a vegetable garden with the intention of sharing our harvest with guests. We will gladly wave and say hello. Whether to chat us up to you. Our mission is to provide you with an enjoyable experience with as much privacy as you desire.
Why they chose this property
Having lived in this region our entire lives, we happily discovered the 1910 log cabin next door and purchased it in 2016. In 2021, we acted on the unexpected opportunity to acquire the 3 acre pond property next door. In the span of years since we first purchased the cabin, we have built a total of 3 brand new smaller homes on our almost 4 acres.
We love the convenience of living in an area offering quick and easy access to Asheville’s experiences, the airport, shopping, Pisgah National Forest, the Biltmore Estate and more.

What makes this property unique
Much thought was given to the design, layout and construction of our newest guest home. For this space, we felt the importance of providing as much accessibility as we could, considering the slope of our property and the limitations presented by building between two ponds. Here, you will enter through French doors to open concept living. There is generous space for movement around the kitchen island, dining table, and living areas. Pass through 36” door openings to enter the large bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. Our stone tiled shower features a curbless entrance, corner seat, ledge storage and handheld sprayer.
Following our construction process, we worked intensively to repair and beautify our landscape, filling the surrounding area with many trees, shrubs and perennial plants as well as some annuals. Unfortunately, Helene had a heavy impact and with the return of warmer temps, we are back at it. Please understand.
