About this property

Enjoy the beauty and relaxation of this beautiful lake home in the scenic hills of Central New York. The best swimming, fishing (especially bass & walleyes), kayaking are right off your own large dock. While sitting on your very comfortable dock and deck furniture you can enjoy the amazing sunrises and observe the local wildlife which includes: bald eagles, loons, geese, herons, and ducks. Kayaks, row boat, paddle board, paddle boat, and canoe for your use. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate motor boats at our Lakehouse due to the fact it is a private lake and there is not a public launch. The lake house is located on a secluded road which is great for walking, riding bikes, or jogging. Bonfire pit and wood provided for bonfires. The house is fully furnished with newer furniture. Two full sectionals, flat screen tvs, newer mattresses: one king, three queens, two twins, and all linens provided. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Keurig available. Cable, internet, and wi fi provided. Great place for family fun or just a relaxing getaway. The Blue Canoe, a casual restaurant , is located at the north end of the lake. Beautiful fall foliage. Winter sports include: ice fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Graduations and special events at Syracuse University, Colgate, Morrisville, Hamilton, and Cazenovia College are all nearby. Available for all seasons. Rates maybe negotiable depending on length of stay and time of year. Special rates for couples for get away times.

Lake life

Responsive and flexible hosts. They were available when we had questions. House is modern with lake house feel. Beds were comfy and rooms are clean. 3 bedrooms with at least queen beds on the main level, beds for 5-6 upstairs, large finished basement that could sleep others. Bathrooms with showers on every floor including basement. Play room and laundry in basement. 2 refrigerators. Laundry worked well. A nice living room in main area as well as one just as large in basement. TV’s have cable and roku. Wifi works well all the way to the lake. Cell service works for the most part but some dead spots. Outside is the best. Large deck overlooking the lake, second level grass with table, and the dock is great area for being right on the water with some nice cushioned outdoor furniture. 2 canoes and 5 kayaks. Water is clear and perfect spot to swim or throw a fishing line in. We caught multiple bass, pike and one of the largest Sunny’s I’ve seen. Blue Canoe restaurant was good. Recommend Nelson Creamery, Madison Country Distillery, and Ray Bro’s BBQ. Large kitchen fully stocked. There are multiple areas to have meals. Inside, the upper deck, table on lawn, and the dock with tables by the water. The grill works well and was full of propane. Fire pit near the water with wood supplied You can squeeze 3 cars into the driveway and if needed could fit another 2 or so on the road. Overall the house is great and I would highly recommend. Lake life at its finest.

Peaceful and Perfect

The house and property are perfect for family gatherings. Peaceful and beautiful. The morning sunrise on the back deck is a must! The house was clean and fully stocked with all you’ll need including some pantry items. We stayed for SU graduation weekend and the 40 minute ride to campus was very easy.

Relaxing stay

The house was very clean and comfortable. The house was hard to find when we arrived at night. But once we found the place, it was easy to get in the house and find everything. It was so quiet and peaceful.

Great Lake House

Beautiful house on Tuscarora Reservoir! Great dock area for swimming and canoes and kayaks available for paddling. House fit seven of us comfortably with lots of seating and areas to relax.

Wonderful slice of paradise

We were in the area for our daughter's graduation from Caz. It was also SU's graduation and I couldn't find hotel rooms. I came across this house and had no idea what to expect. It ended up being the best gathering place for our family. The lake is gorgeous! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the view. My girls kayaked and swam in the lake. Everyone enjoyed their time at the house. We will be back!

Beautiful house, perfect location

Karol was great to deal with. Check in was flawless. The house was beautiful. We were there for a 3 generation family reunion and had so much fun on our long weekend. The views of the lake were spectacular. Our last night we enjoyed a fire as the sun set. The changing leaves were breathtaking. I highly recommend this property! Thank you, Karol!

Paradise on the lake

We were looking for a place to stay because our son was getting married in the area. Karol's place was perfect for our family. There were 6 adults and 3 children ages 3 and under. While we didn't have much time to appreciate just how wonderful the house is, the time that we did have was perfect. The house is very spacious and has everything you will need. You could not ask for a better location. The lake is beautiful. We loved being able to use the kayaks that come with the property (life jackets of all sizes were also available to use). There is even a floating dock. Karol was great to work with and even mailed me a few items that were left at the house. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, this is the place for you.

Family Get Away!!!

The Lake was great and a great escape from the crazy daily life. Every year our family rents a lake house and escapes. The lake it self was perfect and great for a large family. The house is able to fit our large family plus a friend, so that a major plus. However The home could be more clean. We only could use the grill once because it caught on fire even after we cleaned it. We needed to clean the bedrooms with dead bugs and spider webs. We were out side a lot and played cards in the dining room. If staying here I would recommend bringing your own cook wear as there was not a lot of selection that works or we could make brownies or cook certain things. Over all the owner was nice, I would have perffered she not taken care of the lawn while we were there. However besides the house being filled with smoke from no ventilation while cooking breakfast 2x , the grill coughing fire, and needing to clean we enjoyed our time.

Beautiful Sunrise and Sunset on the Lake

We all loved it there - wonderful dock, decks & views from everywhere of the lake. We took our own linens because of the virus. Lots of steps for seniors but we took our time. We found that someone left shoe tongs under the big sectional & food debris in between seat cushions, since we were looking for grandson's toys. Everything else was clean & comfortable. It was also nice to meet the very pleasant owner that lived next door.

Beautiful and peaceful lake house

Breath taking!

Overall the experience was amazing! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the steps leading into the house were more than I expected. We were completely fine with it but others may have trouble. There was so much space, everything was well stocked, breakfast in the dining room was so cool, and the views were perfect. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Wow! What an awesome restoration job on this house! This was my grandparents home into the 70's! Spent many summer and winter days on this property and learned how to swim and waterski on that lake! Looks beautiful! So many memories!

Gorgeous property, great location!

This is an amazing property! The owners of the house are warm, professional, friendly people and it shows in the details of the property. The house is comfortable, well-equipped, well-decorated, and has a stunning view of the lake. It rained during our stay and it was still the perfect place to curl up, stay dry, and enjoy views of wildlife. The location of the property is also ideal. The nearest major town is only 15 minutes away so it's highly accessible but is also tucked away. We would highly recommend this property!

Exceptionally Nice Lakefront

Nice lakefront in a very nice area. The house is very nice, with a wall of sliding glass doors opening to a large deck with great lake views. The kitchen is well equipped and the rooms are well furnished, making it very easy to feel at home here. My family had a great time, and everything needed for enjoyment of the lake is provided. The owners are very helpful and are always nearby to quickly respond to any questions or requests. The Blue Canoe restaurant is within walking distance if you don't mind a bit of steep hill walking. It's a fun place with good food. It is an easy drive to Cazenovia where there is a large Tops supermarket as well as nice shops and restaurants. Other villages like Morrisville and Hamilton are also easy drives and worthwhile visiting. There are very few if any lakefront rentals in this price range that are as nice as this property.

Beautiful House, great lakeside location, wonderful experience overall

This lake house suited our needs perfectly for vacation and family gathering. 3 bedrooms, living, dining and up-to-date, well equipped kitchen on main level, with additional sleeping / bathroom upstairs. The large deck off main level easily handled our additional eating and sitting/conversation interests. Downstairs recreation room and 3rd bath. Tastefully decorated throughout and fully equipped. The lake views are spectacular and you may never want to turn on the many big screen televisions available. The listing description was very accurate. Outside, a series of lawn areas lead down to the dock with even more seating / conversation / napping options. The lake is perfect for the many options available for boating (row boat, canoe, kayaks and paddleboat). Lake is crystal clear and clean. Owners are nearby and could not have been more gracious and helpful. The Blue Canoe restaurant is within walking / paddling distance (or a slightly longer car drive) and the food was very good. Great experience and we are likely to be repeat visitors! Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful!!

Best Memorial Week ever! We spent a delightful week enjoying the amazing views from the deck, the lawn and the dock as well as kayaking, paddle boating, and fishing. The house was immaculate and even nicer than the pictures. There was plenty of room for our large family and many amazing memories were made. Thank you Karol and Bob for being so accommodating and such a pleasure to work with. We definitely would love to return.
