Soco - Secluded 2 Bedroom Studio

This remodeled upstairs studio is walking distance to everything downtown and in the South Congress (SoCo) district. Experience Austin by staying in this wonderful old neighborhood, which is close to live music, food, culture, history and recreation. The light filled 2-bedroom studio is upstairs in my home. With off-street parking and a private exterior entrance it is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Austin. Gaze out to the two majestic 200-year old oak trees or enjoy yourself by sitting out in the shady backyard patio. A stroll 3 blocks west takes you to lively South Congress Avenue filled with fantastic restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and music venues. The house has a beautiful shaded pool for a dip or lounging but if you are a swimmer Big Stacy Park and pool is a short walk away with its year round pool which is fed by natural hot springs in the winter months. The park also has over 3 acres of walking trails. Additional swimming and recreation is but a short drive away at Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. If you are a runner or walker Lady Bird Lake trail is just a couple of blocks away for a jog or walk, and is home to Austin's famous Congress Avenue bat colony. The entertaining Second, Warehouse, and Sixth Street districts downtown are a 3-minute bus/cab ride or a 15 minute walk. Also close by are Auditorium Shores, the Convention Center, Whole Foods Market, the Long Performing Arts Center, the Capitol and much more.

The studio has two private bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with a full size. It does not have a kitchen although a small refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, toaster and microwave are provided for convenience or take the beautiful five minute walk up to Jo’s Coffee shop or the numerous South Congress restaurants for wonderful breakfast, lunch or dinner.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POOL IS ONLY FOR GUESTS STAYING IN THE STUDIO.

Austin Bergstrom Intl. airport is only 20 minutes away ($30 cab ride).


Owners are available to provide guests with suggestions on restaurant options, live music venues and much more!

Great place to stay for Music Festivals, right in the heart of it! ACL.... Less than 3 miles. SXSW....Just blocks away to enjoy a multitude of the entertainment venues.

Very well-maintained 2 bedroom in great, quiet location. Short walk to excellent local shops, restaurants, music. Host provided great local intel and easy check in/out. Easy access to ACL. Highly recommend. Note: there’s a mini-fridge and coffee but no kitchen. But who comes to Austin and makes their own meals?

Nice quiet stay close to South Congress

The two bedroom loft is separate from the house with its own entrance. It is in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes walk from South Congress with lots of great restaurants and music. Property has a lovely shaded pool that is great on those hot Texas days. Property was spoltless and well kept. Would love to stay here again next time we are in Austin.

Great property in ideal location

We had a great stay and the property was perfect for our long weekend in Austin. It's in a quiet neighborhood, yet a short walk to South Congress and a quick drive to many popular sights in Austin. The pool and air conditioning helped negate the Austin heat and the small kitchenette was sufficient for our morning coffee and keeping some water and wine in the fridge.

Peaceful and private

My husband and I booked Laura’s studio for a weekend trip to Austin. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The space was very clean, great ac, and the bed was comfortable. We especially appreciated the water and ice provided in the mini fridge and the coffee station. We also enjoyed the pool area very much, especially during a very hot weekend!

Perfect accommodations for 2 couples. The only down side is that one bed is a full, but that worked fine for our group. Beautiful outdoor space. Easy walk to South Congress St. Beautiful windows overlooking the backyard. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

This place is cute, clean and perfectly located. We were able to walk many of the places we wanted to go to, even if we often decided to take an Uber back due to being tired. It doesn't have a kitchen, but that is clearly stated in the description so no surprises there. It does have a coffee maker, microwave, and a toaster, though, so you can still make yourself breakfast, etc. The owner was really helpful and very nice!

Perfect Treetop Oasis

My friend and I chose this property for a girls' trip to Austin. It was our first time visiting the city so we weren't really sure where to stay. This ended up being the perfect pick. The unit is new and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The living room has a flat screen TV and a rockin' stereo system so you can connect you iPod and listen to music. The owner was very accommodating and she gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The location is very quiet but you can walk a couple of blocks and be on South Congress, where there are lots of great shops, restaurants and bars. We got lucky and ended up arriving on the first Thursday of the month which is a great time on S. Congress. First Thursday is a popular monthly event that is basically like one big block party, and it is perfect for all ages. You can also walk downtown in about 15-20 minutes. However, if you are going out in heels you might want to take a cab. Don't bother calling for a cab because they never show up. You are better off walking to S. Congress and catching one from there. We had some great meals and cocktails in Austin. Try the Snack Bar for breakfast. It was delicious. Also, La Condesa in the 2nd St district downtown had the most amazing food (and margaritas). We ended up there on Cinco de Mayo. Another block party was happening just outside the restaurant. Austin is a great city where there is always something to do. We will definitely go back and we will definitely stay in this treetop oasis again!

Zen Garden Tree House

Had the best weekend in Austin, and Laura’s place was perfect. Walking distance to South Congress, and a pedicab away from ACL fest. Perfect for a girls getaway with separate bedrooms and a nice living room with beautiful windows to watch the rain or just enjoy the scenery. Communication excellent, just had a blast!!

The location is close enough that we could walk to the SoCo area and could scooter to/from downtown. The apartment was spacious for the 4 of us (adults). I would rent here again.
