The unit itself was fairly nice and had the potential to be a great stay, but several issues impacted our experience.Check-in was delayed, though we appreciated having a place to leave our luggage when we arrived early. Unfortunately, when we returned, the unit door was unlocked and standing open. The listing also did not mention that the unit is on the second floor, which may be important for some guests. For a four-day stay, only four towels were provided and no washcloths. The host did bring washcloths after we asked. There were also no blankets on any of the beds upon arrival; one blanket was provided after we requested it.The first night, the carbon monoxide detector alarm went off every couple of hours, disrupting sleep. The host responded the next morning and removed it. The bathtub was extremely slippery and could use a bath mat, and the towel racks were mounted unusually high. Guests are asked to turn AC off whenever they leave. During our stay, temperatures were over 90 degrees, and because the unit is on the second floor, turning them off wasn't practical if we wanted the space to be comfortable. The listing described the French Quarter as a short walk, but it took us about 45 minutes at a steady pace. The neighborhood was noisy at night and definitely did not feel safe for walking after dark.To the host's credit, they were responsive when issues were reported. However, the combination of these concerns made the stay less enjoyable than we had expected.
