We only stayed one night this place is under major construction. This condo is in desperate need of renovation and several things are broken The double doors going outside are broken and held closed by a shower rod. They also are filled with black mold on the inside. We had to rent another condo so we could complete our vacation . The pictures are not what you are getting with this condo. The building it’s in alone needs major work to be safe

Nice Stay on the Beach

Overall the condo was fine. I am glad that is was not more than the 3 of us. The Space looks bigger in the pictures, but it is tight! That didn't really bother us though as we spent the majority of time on the beach or exploring Corpus. I would stay again, but only if it's me.

The building was under renovation and construction trash was everywhere. There were missing railing just covered with a sheet of plywood. The room smelled and very small. We stayed one night and immediately found a better place to stay. I would not recommend staying at this location at all. Very disappointed in this establishment.

Terrible! We booked it for 4 nights and left day two and went to a hotel. Im not sure who the photographer was but they did an excellent job making this property look spacious because it's very smal and clutted. Exposed wires on bottom floor and fire alram had been disengaged due to maintenance on the outside. Elevator was broken and it's on the third floor. We've never had bad luck with VRBO properties looking totally different than the pictures but the photos are definitely old.

Was way less than what we expected. Had hard time connecting to internet. No TV remotes. Floors dirty. Toilet running. Furniture oversized for the condo. Keys to gates not working. Door lock coming apart. Hard communication with management nd ownership.

After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following: - When you let us know you were having WiFi issues, we immediately reached out to our internet provider. They checked and verified that the WiFi was working. - The remotes for both the TVs were located in the condo, and you confirmed this with us during your stay. - The floors are swept and mopped before every guest's arrival as part of your cleaning process. - When the cleaners arrived an hour after check-out, they were surprised to see you still at the property. If possible, we're always happy to accommodate a late check-out, but guests need to request this in advance. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

I was very dissapointed when we got there because the AC was not working and could not get a hold with the owner, it took like 3 hours to get an answer. this condominium is very small for a family of 6, it looks old and we saw several roaches in the kitchen. sorry but I would not recommend this unit.

The view of the ocean great. The Condo is small. The queen bed is very high and requires steps to get on and off. The shower had only really hot water. It was not stocked with items that other condos in the same price range have. The owner would not allow us to use the dead bolt to secure the door when we were inside the unit, as it was "part of the keypad, not to be used by tenant, but controlled by owner". The keypad was in the outside of the door. It alerts the owner if you turn the deadbolt on the inside. There was too much and too large furniture for the very small condo.It is only suitable for 2 adults and 2 children, definitely not for Seniors. The 2 plastic chairs on the patio were not as pictured. The icemaker does not work, the office personnel were great, the pool ok. I have used VRBO many, many times, this was the most disappointing. I would definitely not stay again.

Bugs ruined the relaxation factor

This unit had a cockroach problem (also referred to as palmetto bugs). It's the BEST VIEW of the bay and the ships, but we could not fully relax because of the little pests everywhere. Check to make sure it's been exterminated before you get there! We saw them crawling on the table while we were eating take-out Fri night, on the bathroom faucet/sink while brushing my teeth, crawling on the wall that the bed is shoved against, inside the utensil drawer, on and on etc. It was very unpleasant. It's an old building and the balcony doors get left open a lot. The owner offered to send maintenance to assist and offered a discount on a future stay. Also, as of Oct 2021 the elevator at this end of the building is under construction. Not too big a deal unless you have a handicapped family member like us who can't do stairs. It was a long walk to the working elevator. Helpful to know. I should have asked in advance.

Hi Arc, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to clarify the following: - After your stay, the cleaning crew examined and confirmed that no pests were found in the condo. I offered to send someone over to the condo to address the bug issue, but this was denied by your group. - The cleaning crew also had to spend extra time to fumigate the condo due to the smoke odor left behind in a nonsmoking condo. While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also need them to respect our house rules and treat the property as their own. - The sliding glass door works properly and can be shut. I ask guests to please keep the door shut when not in use, especially with the A/C running. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Great stay!

My family and I had an excellent stay!!! Loved being right on the beach and waking up to see nothing but ocean in the morning!!! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great! Being a mom with multiple kids it was important to be very close to the beach so I wasn’t having to lug a ton of stuff for blocks! This was an amazing location with great access to the beach!!!

We stayed in suite 1300 we enjoyed our stay it had everything we needed in the kitchen and we had beach view the area was walking distance to the Lexington and aquarium 3 min drive it had restaurants walking distance as well. My 10 month old along with my 2 and 8 year old really enjoyed it. The beach was very clean and spacious we stayed April 3 - April 5th 2021

The view here can't be beat! To be able to wake up and have a direct view of the water and to walk on the beach was incredible! Nice to have restaurants, etc within walking distance as well. Lots of attractions within five minutes of the condo. We loved it!

This unit was not cleaned for normal standards, and FOR sure not adhering to COVID standards. There was hair on the shower and water in the bottom like it was used and never cleaned. Toothpaste on the wall and behind the toilet cover has not been cleaned. I can accept some minor misses, but the place seriously looked like the bed was made but nothing cleaned. The couch was not even vacuumed. The stove was VERY dirty with grease and food on the pans under burners as well as in the stove. The fridge was NEVER wiped out and condiments left in fridge as well as food droppings. Very unsanitary. Seriously don’t think a resource showed up to clean. It was also not as advertised: -there was no mention in the add about how much the property was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. The property is under major construction and was not disclosed. When you pull up with construction everywhere and the pool VERY not inviting like the picture. Very dirty, unclean and workers yelling at each other while working. -There is no explanation of the video camera that is “inside” the apartment. Violates VRBO policy! Outside the door would be fine. -The picture on the add showed a leather chair and ottoman and instead there is this old gross blue chair that looks like it is from the Good Will and has food stains on it. -On the deck, the picture shows nice wicker chairs and instead there are these different chairs not the same and not comfortable. And a set of broken chairs. -The coach was gross and dirty. -The stove was NOT cleaned at all, food and grease all over on the silver pans. The over was definitely not cleaned -The bed was soft, but we both caved into the middle and horrible sleep. -I have been using VRBO for many years with confidence. This is my first bad experience. My wife and I tried to leave immediately but with spring break all hotels were full until next day 3/20/21. We were forced to stay one night and left immediately in the morning when we could check into another property. I expect a full refund from Evolve & VRBO. If needed, I will dispute with my credit card provider and make sure there are comments on the add that tell the truth about this property.

Hi Aaron, we take guest feedback seriously, but after following up with the homeowner, we do not feel this review is warranted. The owner would like to clarify a few points: - The condo was professionally cleaned just before your arrival, and I provided Evolve with pictures to demonstrate this. - There was water in the bottom of the shower due to the recent cleaning, but there were no hairs. - Maintenance was there repairing the toilet after the previous guest, and they confirmed that there was no toothpaste on the walls. - I sent Evolve pictures of both the stove and the couch, which were perfectly cleaned. - There are absolutely no cameras inside the condo, and there never has been. The outdoor security camera is disclosed in the listing. - There is no broken furniture on the balconies. There are brand new chairs and a new table, along with a couple of smaller chairs for children. - While some furniture looks different than the photos, that is because it has been upgraded. I have not received any complaints regarding the furniture or cleanliness from recent guests, and I will continue to work hard to provide a relaxing visit for all travelers.

Beach view

The condo was clean and had a beautiful view. The buildings themselves are kinda run down though. We didn’t feel comfortable leaning on porch railing. The instructions given by property manager to get in the condo were wrong as was the instructions to connect to WiFi. Never did hear from the property manager but was able to call the owner to get codes for entry and WiFi.

We followed up with the homeowner, who assured us that the entire balcony was replaced two years ago, and the railing is sturdy. She also let us know that the condo complex has been through two hurricanes and a tropical storm this year. We're sorry if the buildings seem a bit run down after this harsh weather; repairing such a large property can take some time. The homeowner does encourage guests to reach out to her directly with any issues through the contact info listed in the pre-stay instructions. She is very responsive and does her best to address concerns promptly to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay.

Booked this trip for a pre-honeymoon because ours was canceled due to COVID19. Big mistake choosing this property. My new husband and I were both physically assaulted in the parking area. Throughout the incident from beginning to the end when the cops finally showed up the property security never showed up to help. It took local PD around 20 minutes to get there from the time I called. There was an independent contractor working the grounds who was very helpful and brought me an ice pack after I was punched in the face. Another lady who I believe worked in the office brought me some bandages and antibiotic cream. Other than those 2 people nobody else tried to help at at. At one point I noticed a lady standing there watching us and I asked her if she was with the lady that attacked me and she simply replied "no, I'm the manager of the building". She never asked if we were okay, offered apologies or anything. She acted like she was the one inconvenienced by the whole ordeal. She never spoke another word to us. She waited for PD to leave and she disappeared. Now while the officer was finishing up with my husband and I, the building security officer finally came running up and I thought he was checking in on us but No he was actually asking the officer to assist him because apparently there was a burglary in one of the units. I was told by one of the ground workers that this kind of stuff happens all the time. This property is not safe and the manager clearly does not care. All that said The unit itself is super cute. It had all the cookware & utensils I needed for my stay. Very nice appliances with a pretty fast coffee maker. If you decide to brave the area, Bring extra toilet paper, we ran out and had to go buy more, not a huge deal. The sheets & comforter in the bedroom were so soft & plush, I loved them but the mattress sunk in towards the middle and the pillows were so hard. Bring your own pillows! The unit was decorated very nice. The view from the balcony was PERFECT. The elevators were extremely slow and just not worth the effort. Being this unit is on the 3rd floor, we wore ourselves out on the stairs but we are physically capable so managed. Once you make it down the stairs you take a corner towards the back of the property, go through a gate and you are just steps from the beach. As far as location this unit is pretty close to perfect as long as you can handle the stairs. Still, I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

Infested with cockroaches, skelatized bird no help from Evolve

Checked in late Saturday. There was a dead bird on the balcony that had been there so long it was a skeleton. Cockroaches in every drawer, cabinet, bathtub, roach droppings everywhere including the counters. They started coming out at dark. We had every light on and stayed up to 4am killing them. The only contact info listed was an incorrect email address for the cleaning lady and a number which she texted back and could offer no help but to say the place was clean when she left it. Got a hold of Evolve Rentals the next morning and sent the videos of the cockroaches and they passed information on to owner. Owner said they were not cockroaches, but Palmetto bugs. Ummmmm, that is an American cockroach. There were tiny, medium and large cockroaches. I live here and Texas and know what they are. She came back to say the place was recently sprayed and that’s why they are coming out. Really? In my experience when you spray, you see dead roaches, not healthy well ones everywhere. The only dead ones were the ones we were smooshing. It was disgusting. Even after sending video of the roaches we were told they couldn’t do anything. This company is a scam. I couldn’t post a review either until now. Wonder why?

The homeowner is dedicated to the experience of their guests, and they had the unit deep-cleaned before your arrival in addition to the regular cleaning and preparation that is completed in between reservations. Every unit in the complex is treated each month for pests, and the condo was sprayed shortly before your stay. We have since hosted several reservations without any reports of pests in or outside of the condo. We are sorry that the homeowner was not able to provide the resolution that you were hoping for, but we hope that the measures taken by Evolve make up for some of your disappointment. The building is a little run down but the unit was lovely.

Ocean front right on the sand. You can not beat the location. The unit is small but beaurifully decorated and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. It has everything you need but bring your own bathroom supplies (shampoo, blow dryer, etc). One pool is heated which is nice this time of year. There is only one elevator for each building and it was very slow. One good hint. This unit is in building 1 on the 3rd floor. It is a corner unit which gives you a little less noise from other guests. The first number of your unit is the building. The 2nd is the floor and the last 2 the unit number.

Nice room with a great view! Minor things to fix.

The room was very nice and clean. Kitchen was nice but because of the large bar (where the dishwasher is), there isn't much room between the coffee table and the corner of the bar. Removing the chair in the corner would probably free up some space. Bedroom was very cozy. The bed was comfortable but a little too tall. Even with the step, it was a bit of a chore to get in and out of the bed. In the bathroom, the lower towel rack fell on the floor when we used a towel. Also, the black covering on the electronic lock fell off when we first opened the door. The TVs were perfect! Overall, great room that just needs a little improvement.

Was a great place to stay. Cozy for me and my two small children. Perfect for us. View was awesome. Beach was clean and very pleasant. Good location being close to the aquarium. The facility itself was dated but the condo itself was great. Will definitely consider again for the future.

Rude owner!

So upon arrival, you have to go to the front desk to check in. lady up front with glasses can use some better customer service skills instead of questioning you on protocol for key lock box, I was explaining to her I didn't receive e-mail for code, while she Assured me that they had e-mailed code in a very RUDE manner(which they dont).After difficulty getting into our condo a loud noise was coming from A/C vent , Karen the host was very sweet and helpful and directed us to speak to owner(Carolyn) @ that instant stuff went down hill full of RUDENESS!! She asked if it was cold which wasn't when we walked in cause thermostat was set @ 80 degrees, she kept telling me that the a.c. unit was new and that it was impossible for it to be making any NOISE. The more the conversation went on she got ruder to were I had to just hang up and wait till 9am the next day to deal with NOISE. I took upon myself to take a look @ unit and saw a piece of duct tape stuck on blower motor shaft, I never told the owner because she was so rude I was afraid she would BLAME ME for anything!! By the way she has access to control thermostat and your greeted by a SURVEILLANCE camera as you walk in and out of condo. Condo location was nice but balcony needs to be restored due to floor bowing in the middle.

We have shared your comments with the homeowner who informed us that when you set the air conditioning to 65 degrees, maintenance was able to come out to check on this within hours after being alerted to this to ensure it is set to 70 degrees so it does not freeze. As the air conditioning system is just one month old, we can assure you it is working properly.
