Pros: The pool area was perfect for what we needed and always clean. The villa space was ample, and the views were beautiful, with the location providing excellent privacy. The huge balcony provides a rattan seating area. A car is definitely essential, even though amenities are only a short drive away.
The table tennis and pool table were perfect pastimes for my teenager and were perfectly shaded from the sun; they can be used at night due to lighting.
More kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery than you'll ever need.
Previous reviews mentioned the beds were like concrete, but we took a chance given that I was assured the mattresses had been changed. They were still firm, but it didn't hinder our sleep - although our son did complain at first.
The owner is friendly and does not impose on your stay.
Cons: Our stay would have been 5 stars if:
* The dishwasher wasn't broken
* The main shower provided hot water, and the downstairs shower wasn't either very cold or scalding hot.
* The air-con unit in the double bedroom didn't creak and groan and turn itself on and off during the night.
In addition, other little things such as not having an extra bin bag or washing-up liquid and not having adequate oven equipment to cook food - there is only one rack and one 'baking tray' - weren't ideal. I would say the seating area in the living room isn't suitably comfortable for adults with older children; however, it depends on how much time you spend inside. Wi-fi isn't the best. The villa does need some TLC and modernisation in some areas.
