Wonderful holiday

It’s a funny street to the vila but with gps no problem. The house is like the pictures and is wonderful quite. The kitchen has everything you need and the contact with the owner was pleasant. We would book again!!

Lovely villa with stunning views and peaceful surroundings.

Pros: The pool area was perfect for what we needed and always clean. The villa space was ample, and the views were beautiful, with the location providing excellent privacy. The huge balcony provides a rattan seating area. A car is definitely essential, even though amenities are only a short drive away. The table tennis and pool table were perfect pastimes for my teenager and were perfectly shaded from the sun; they can be used at night due to lighting. More kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery than you'll ever need. Previous reviews mentioned the beds were like concrete, but we took a chance given that I was assured the mattresses had been changed. They were still firm, but it didn't hinder our sleep - although our son did complain at first. The owner is friendly and does not impose on your stay. Cons: Our stay would have been 5 stars if: * The dishwasher wasn't broken * The main shower provided hot water, and the downstairs shower wasn't either very cold or scalding hot. * The air-con unit in the double bedroom didn't creak and groan and turn itself on and off during the night. In addition, other little things such as not having an extra bin bag or washing-up liquid and not having adequate oven equipment to cook food - there is only one rack and one 'baking tray' - weren't ideal. I would say the seating area in the living room isn't suitably comfortable for adults with older children; however, it depends on how much time you spend inside. Wi-fi isn't the best. The villa does need some TLC and modernisation in some areas.

Die Vila Caracol ist perfekt gelegen, oberhalb des Anwesens, abseits des städtischen Getümmels. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind aber genug in der Nähe, in 7 Minuten Autofahrt erreichbar. Man hat das Gefühl alleine auf dem grossen privaten Anwesen zu sein, obwohl sich insgesamt 4 Ferienwohnungen darauf befinden. Bei dieser Vila wohnt der Besitzer dahinter. Diese merkt man aber kaum. Man hört ab und zu wenn er oder die Angestellten aufs Feld gehen. Man ist bei der Vila Caracol aber völlig privat und sieht den ganzen Tag keinen Menschen. Ausser zwischen 7.00 und 10.00Uhr den Poolreiniger, der sich aber beeilt und gleich wieder weg ist. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Genug Platz für eine 4 Köpfige Familie, grosser Pool mit Pingpong- und Billardtisch im Freien und Grillstelle. Der Tennisplatz war für uns weiter weg gelegen, den haben wir nicht benutzt. Dieser befindet sich in der unteren Strasse bei den anderen 3 Ferienhäuser, kann mitbenutzt werden. Alle Schlägerarten und Bälle sind im Haus gut sichtbar deponiert. Gut eingerichtetes Haus das fast keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir haben nur einen Kugelschreiber vermisst ;-)Unkompliziertes Check-in mittels Schlüsselbox bei der Haustüre.Danke für Alles! Es waren sehr erholsame Ferien in der Vila Caracol!

Algarve

Wir haben insgesamt 9 Nächte in dem Haus übernachtet. Zuerst das positive: es war sauber und aufgeräumt. Leider war es das schon. Die Betten waren so hart, dass auch der Fußboden zum schlafen gereicht hätte. Der angepriesene Tennisplatz ist eigentlich nur eine grün bemaltet Betonfläche mit vielen Rissen und zum Spielen wirklich nicht geeignet. Das Haus im allgemeinen ist in keinem guten Zustand und müsste generalüberholt werden.
