A conseiller.

Do NOT choose this property in September unless you are a biker

The house itself is fine enough, although the tv did not work, and the pool surround was locked, and one of the mattresses was not good for the back. The real objection lies in the day-long, unavoidable (even indoors) noise of motorbikes heading to the yearly Bol d'Or meet, which builds up to the main event itself at the end of September by holding regular races throughout the month thereby attracting motorcyclists from all over Europe who then use the only road to the Castellet circuit that passes within 60m of the property to 'let rip' on their way through. We were obliged to leave the property, and were lucky enough to find another which offered the peace and quiet we were seeking. If you are into motorcycles, then great. If you are not, then you need to avoid this property in September.
Response from VrboOwner on 23 Mar, 2020
chere christine , indeed during the week of the Bol d´or bike race in September the trafic in the neighborhood of Le Beausset is terrible and loud , we should have realized it and told you, we really did not realized it as none complains in the past . This year 2020 it is the 18th,19th, 20th of September. For the other issues , let's be clear , the TV works , maybe the usage of the remot control is not intuitive but it definitely works . The pool is secured for the kids, but by pushing and turning the handle adults can open the pool door . For the matresse we changed the old ones including the bed spring in 2016, excluding one in the bed room downstairs that was good enough for us, but we will change it in the coming easter vacation to prevent any further complains. Again sorry for the timing , we will now pay attention of the bol d'or week and inform our customers interested in this week.
