About this property
Rippling River Cabin: Nature's Paradise On The Shenandoah River
This beautiful cabin is calling all nature lovers. Sitting on the bank of the Shenandoah River, you will enjoy hearing the sound of the majestic water roll by throughout the day and evening as you partake in various outdoor activities or simply relax and take in the scenery from the large back deck of the cabin. The cabin is nicely appointed with updates to the kitchen and both bathrooms. Two rooms have queen beds and one bedroom has two full size beds. The large, open family room with river rock stone fireplace (gas) makes for a warm and enjoyable entertainment setting. There is an outdoor pit by the river for cozy "campfires" -- and an outdoor gas grill for cooking.
The cabin has been well equipped with all the household necessities -- you just need to remember to pack your own bedroom linens and towels to use because linens are NOT provided. (2 Queen and 2 Full). There is a washer/dryer at the cabin.
The town of Luray is less than five miles from the cabin. Luray offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options for the entire family. Luray Caverns is one of the largest and most popular attractions in the Eastern United States -- and, of course, it is hard to beat the Shenandoah Skyline Drive in the Fall. There are a number of local outdoor companies that provide kayak, canoeing, tubing, horseback riding, and many other options. Two ski resorts are within one hour of the cabin.
The cabin really is a little oasis away from the hustle-and-bustle of modern life. We hope you might consider visiting us -- and we guarantee you will find something you will enjoy!

My family absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was cozy and extremely clean! The river was beautiful and peaceful, we are already looking at staying again for a longer time!
The cabin was fantastic and had everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay! It has plenty of room inside, outside on the enormous deck and spacious lawn and is right on the banks of the river. You can hear the rippling water everywhere and it's awesome. Very close to Luray and the caverns too. 10/10 and would highly recommend!
This place was so perfect. Being right by the river and a boat ramp made for great fishing. We loved being close to Luray and took our 18mo through her first cavern experience. We also weren’t too far from our favorite burger spot, Spelunker’s. My dad was excited to try out a nearby disc golf course as well. This spot really had something for everyone and we really appreciate y’all opening your home to us.

Nice, clean comfortable cabin far from everything yet still pretty close with everything you need and want to have a relaxing time along the Shenandoah River. We enjoyed ourselves very much, even with a few rainout days. We hope to stay again!

The cabin was wonderful. Everything we needed was there. It was so well appointed. We enjoyed swimming hiking tubing and enjoying the games that were in the cabin and outside. It was a perfect place for our whole family together on the river and create memories. The host was fabulous.

Perfect getaway for my family! The view if the river, the deck, the quiet area. Everything was perfect! We will definitely be going back! When we arrived and saw the flag hanging, it was even more perfect for the weekend before the 4th of July. My kids swam in the river and we relaxed and enjoyed everything. Plenty of games and puzzles.
Lovely, bright and open cabin with a well-stocked kitchen. We felt very at home! The river is so beautiful and peaceful to watch and listen to. Though rain prevented us from spending time out on the porch, the big glass windows and doors facing the river made for feeling connected to nature even while indoors. The cabin felt wonderfully private and tucked off the beaten path. It's a farther walk from your car across the yard and up the stairs to the entrance than others I have stayed in; not a problem for us, but folks with mobility challenges should be aware.

Great peaceful cabin on the river! They also had two tubes and a canoe, which were unexpected perks! We used the tubes, tied with a rope to relax. I’ve had a really stressful year and this was a really welcome chance to get away with family and unplug. The kids had a blast. Of note - internet is there, but it’s so out in the country it’s hard to sustain a zoom meeting. So don’t go here thinking you can telework with virtual meetings.
Perfect stay. The river the hikes the cabin was best. Will be back soon
