Villa Blackrock has undergone a substantial refurbishment and is fully registered with the Lanzarote authorities for letting. It is a spacious, modern, detached luxury villa, with large electrically heated private pool set in an extensive, south facing private terrace and gated, walled garden. It is situated in its own grounds, with impressive mountain views. The exclusive estate is accessed by code only and benefits from a CCTV security system which is on operation on the entrance gate and throughout the private development 24 hrs a day, ensuring privacy and peace as the only traffic allowed is to each of the 49 villas on the estate. Stylishly equipped and furnished to a very high standard it is ideal for two families with four large bedrooms and three bathrooms. The villa has air conditioning in all four bedrooms, high ceilings, consists of a spacious lounge and dining area and is beautifully furnished and colour co-ordinated throughout, with leather furniture and karndean flooring. Entertainment includes a flat screened TV with an extensive package including all Sky channels - Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Premier Sports, News and Movies and Disney channels, BBC 1 & 2 and ITV, Channel 4 & 5 and RTE 1 & 2. There are also approx 1,900 movies and approx 400 box sets available. IPod docking station, CD + DVD players. Playstation 2. 5G Wi-fi is fast, free and unlimited. Architecturally designed, three of the four bedrooms have large picture windows and the lounge large has large patio doors to overlook the south facing pool and tropical gardens. The kitchen also overlooks the pool. The extensive terrace sees the sun all day long, with two shaded canopied areas for eating and relaxing. Alfresco dining is enhanced with a Canarian BBQ and is a delight around the large wicker table and chairs. The beautiful pool area has a high degree of privacy afforded by raised lava walls, is not overlooked and the garden is planted with cacti, palm trees and tropical plants. The pool can be electrically heated. There is an additional extended west facing terrace for further sunbathing or this can be used as a play area. Cot and highchair are included for families with infants and pool toys and inflatables are provided.

As a family of 8 we found this villa a brilliant size and comfortable for us all to share . It really is home from home with a fully fitted kitchen . Lidil is only 3 mins away meaning self catering was extremely easy . The pool was heated and lots of floats available for the children. When the electricity tripped someone from the management company arrived within 10 minutes to turn it back on . No complaints about the vila nor the hosts at all . Would definitely recommend as would the others i traveled with . Thank you

Beautiful comfortable villa with lovely pool

Lovely lounge going out onto the pool and table tennis area. Suited our family great with 2 bedrooms at each end of the villa. Quiet area in its own gate controlled site. Close also to Montagna Roca for a 40 minute hike to the summit.

We were a family of 7 staying for 2 weeks at Villa Blackrock. Julie was an amazing host and communication with her was excellent.The villa was well equipped and very spacious for our family of 7. The BBQ area was very good and there are plenty of sunbeds.We found the walk into Playa Blanca very easy it’s about 20 mins from the villa and a nice walk along the seafront. For journeys further afield taxis are cheap and easy to get as the taxi stop is a 5 min walk from the villa.We all had a great holiday at Villa Blackrock and were sad to leave. We would not hesitate to book with Julie again.

Villa a Blackrock

We feel the Villa was excellent from the location to the outside view on arrival. The Interior was amazing. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were decorated to a high standard, living space and kitchen were spotless. Lastly the outside pool was fantastic with plenty of sun beds and a super solarium at the back. Would highly recommend this Villa.

Does exactly what it says on the tin!

We had a lovely stay. We had a couple of issues with the electricity tripping, but the mgmt team were incredibly quick to react, and said it was the time of year, as many villas has the pool heating system on. The pool could have been slightly warmer, but again, time of year makes it harder to get up to temp. Overall we loved our stay. Defo need a car.

Hi Scott, Thank you for your lovely review. We do have an experienced and responsive management team who deal quickly and efficiently with any issues. Pool heating is important in December as the night time air can be much cooler, the cover is great for providing the insulation required and being electrically operated the pool normally does reach a good temperature. A car is not essential with the bus stop right outside our complex arriving every 30 minutes and serving the whole of Playa Blanca resort and a taxi rank only down the road. The town centre is a lovely walk by Atlantic park and Flamingo beach with its waterside restaurants only a 20-minute walk away. Fabulous family holiday

We had a fabulous 10 day stay in March with three generations of our family to celebrate a milestone birthday. There was plenty of space for all of us and the facilities were great, the little ones thorough enjoyed spending time in the pool. There is a lovely bar/restaurant called Bailey's on the nearby complex "Jardine del Sol" which is well worth a visit or two - the food is fabulous. We would definitely visit the villa again in the future.

Lovely quiet villa

We were three generations away for a family break in the sun. This villa is about a 15-20 min walk from Playa Flamingo/Playa Blanca. Really quiet and private location. The children really enjoyed the swimming pool. It was very clean and we were able to check in early which was great. Recommended.

Villa Blackrock is a wonderful villa that has everything (and more) you need.The inside is very spacious and modern and the outside area has loads of loungers and a stunning pool and bbq area.Over the years my family has stayed in quite a few villas in Playa Blanca and this villa is the best yet.Julie is a brilliant host,great communication from start to finish. Fantastic last minute trip

We (5 adults and 3 children) booked a last minute trip to stay at Villa Blackrock. From start to finish, and once we were home, Julie was an absolute delight to deal with, making the process very simple and furnishing us with all the local information we could need. The villa itself was perfect for our group with plenty of space both inside and outside and the whole villa being comfortable for everyone and allowing all ages to relax and have fun. We couldn't have asked for better and would definitely both recommend and stay at again.

Awesome villa , great location . Great communication . Everything was first class , even the directions from the airport . Villa is up to date and your every need is catered for . playa blancas is about a 40 minute walk . Taxis are just Round the corner between €3-€4 to playa Blanca center . Hopefully returning very soon as just loved the island .

Beautiful Villa, Wonderful Stay

We've stayed in villas in and around Playa Blanca for a number of years now, but this is by far the best place we have stayed. Its location is quiet and secure, but within easy reach of all of the town's main locations. The villa is fully kitted out with everything you could need for a stress-free holiday (including a full set of kitchenware, which is not always a given!) and is in great condition. The villa is a great size, and worked well for us as a couple but has plenty of room and space for larger groups. Communications with the owner prior to arrival were great with clear instructions and info. We cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be looking to stay again on our next visit to Lanzarote.

The place was right, and could have been amazing but sadly the condition wasn't at the standard expected. We found the property had experienced a significant water leak and walls were still drying out - affecting all the walls in one of the bedrooms, the en-suite, and areas in the hall/living room. The onsite management company were responsive in promptly scraping and cleaning the walls and floor of flaking paint and salt crystal growth, although this was just as bad 2-3 days later. We were told the walls still drying 'wasn't a problem', actually it was for us. Family members had tried to sleep in there before we realised the extent of the damp problem and it had made them feel unwell. Luckily there were only 5 of us so we were able to manage with the other rooms, for us the bedroom was unusable. We accept that these things happen, things go wrong but there had been no advance warning prior to our arrival which would have been helpful. We are currently trying to work with the owners through VRBO for a resolution.The management company were really helpful and also responsive to a number of other issues which they were generally able to resolve. There are additional charges for both pool heating and air-conditioning which I didn't appreciate until reading the welcome pack. This could have been made clearer on the listing - I asked a VRBO agent to check that I hadn't missed it who confirmed that he could not see details of charges at the time.

Dear Jan, Our villa had a water leak in the garden before you arrived. It is built on concrete which absorbed some leaked water that spread up the lower part of a wall. This occurred as Spanish building regulations do not require a damp course and was explained to you. The bedroom you refer to has three external walls and one internal wall, the total perimeter of which is approximately twenty five metres and the length of wall affected was one and a half metres at most. The walls are two and a half metres high and an area of twenty five centimetres wide at most was affected at its lower part. This would not have caused dampness of note nor made the room uninhabitable.Our manager, who assessed your concerns, advised you that the dampness you pointed out on the other walls, was not due to a leak, but due to condensation, as the nights were unusually cold and several guests slept in the room with the windows closed. Guests stayed in our villa immediately before and after you and raised no concerns. You said our advert did not cover pool heating nor air conditioning costs when in fact it is clearly stated under "Amenities" on the main advert page. We are surprised a VRBO assistant could not find these advert details. We suspect your demand for a very large refund on the cost of renting our villa led you to make these statements. We believe our consistently excellent reviews over many years renting our villa with our excellent management team supports this suspicion. Regards Julie

Great family villla

We stayed here February half term 2024. The villa was as described. The pool was perfect for us, we spent hours in there, heating was optional but well worth it. The vila has 4 bedrooms, 1 is huge and doubled up as a "den" for the younger kids. The villa is well equiped, located on a gated secure commuty it fitted the bill for us. We have stayed in many villas before and would stay here again. A car is necessary if you want to explore more that the island has to offer. We used Autoreisen, parking at the villa was easy and enough for 2 or even 3 cars if required.

Excellent Holiday

We had a wonderful week in Villa Blackrock. The Villa is excellent, very well equipped and exceptionally well laid out. There was 4 adults and 3 children in our party and plenty of room for us. All 4 bedrooms are spacious, as is the rest of the Villa, with 2 en-suite and another bathroom. The pool and sun lounge areas are very private, and dining inside or outside, as we did, is your choice. We had a hire car but buses and taxis are available just round the corner. It’s probably 25 to 30 minutes walk into the centre of Playa Blanca, which my legs aren’t upto anymore, but everybody else walked. We would certainly recommend holidaying in Villa Blackrock, and communications with the Villa owner and the Management Company are excellent.

We are very happy that our villa comfortably accommodated the three generations of your family, both within the villa and outside with our extensive garden, pool and patio area. There is now a lovely walk through Atlantic Park which reduces the walk to the harbour, and a taxi at the end of the evening from Playa Blanca centre back to the villa is only 4 euro's. Lovely Place, Lovely Host

We chose this villa because we were a party of 4 adults and we wanted plenty of space for a decent price. We were certainly not disappointed. This villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 en suite + 1 more). The pool is a decent size for a morning dip (lovely and cool too, the way I like it! I believe it can be heated on request for a charge) and there is plenty of space for loads of sunbeds. The villa was clean when we arrived and the bedrooms were comfy. As is the case with many properties on the island, there is no air con, the ceiling fans did the job though. The property is in a gated area with a code needed for the front gate. Because of this, it is beautifully quiet. The walk to the seafront is about 20 mins, all downhill. You can jump on the public transport scooters or get a cab instead, both are readily available (scooter - less than a euro, taxi - 4-5 euros). 2 supermarkets are within a few minutes walk. We had an evening flight on the way back so I contacted the owner, Julie, to request a later check out. She immediately replied saying this was possible for a small fee. We were also able to leave our cases at the villa for a few hours before our taxi arrived - thanks Julie! This was perfect for our needs (4 adult friends) but would also be ideal for couples or a large family/families group as there are so many beds and so much space. We loved our week here and hope to return in future.

We are delighted that you enjoyed Villa Blackrock so much, the pool and patio area as you say are a great size, as is the villa. We have considered air conditioning but like many of the villas on the island we are designed so that this is not essential for a comfortable stay. We are in a tranquil and peaceful location, yet very close still to all the delights that the resort of Playa Blanca has to offer, which is very easy to access. I have now retired from working as a staff nurse, my husband John is a medical doctor. Our sons Sean and Alex are working in business and Sophie our daughter works for BEAT the UK's charity for eating disorders. We all love the outdoor life playing tennis, golf and hockey. We have been visiting Lanzarote for the last 30 years and love the all year round climate, and extended daylight hours. We particularly love Playa Blanca for its wonderful beaches and upmarket feel. The standard and variety of cuisine is excellent and we really enjoy visiting the various restaurants and eating outside on balmy evenings. We eventually plan to semi-retire here avoiding the cold winters at home and look forward to being able to accommodate our large English and Irish family and friends.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Villa Blackrock for its fabulous location within Playa Blanca and being so spacious and private, with tropical gardens and a wonderful pool. The majority of the rooms look onto the pool and garden area and the large windows throughout throw light into the villa bringing the garden indoors. The pool area is south facing and the patio is extended to the west of the property allowing optimal sunbathing. We really enjoy the villa because it affords us our own space even when the extended family stay and importantly enjoy the home from home facilities. The villa is so secure being in the gated complex and is private on the estate, it is not overlooked and offers peace and tranquillity with wonderful mountain views and yet still has everything on its doorstep.

What makes this property unique

We are fully registered with the Lanzarote authorities. We are very experienced villa owners and have an excellent English management company. Villa Blackrock is a substantial villa set in the middle of its own large grounds with extended patio areas, magnificent pool and garden areas and raised lava walls. We have many repeat guests and our reviews are excellent.
