Designed for togetherness while being mindful of the occasional desire for privacy, this incredible home was built to host mega-crowds in comfort and with ease. As you enter the home you are greeted by big mountain and long water views from the spacious lodge style great room. Warm and inviting, the 3-story room features a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses, a masonry stone fireplace with gas logs, oak flooring and pine paneled walls. A wall of French doors leads to a spacious lakeside screened porch that runs the length of the home with an area for rocking chairs, dining and an outdoor living room with a river stone, wood burning fireplace. The private and peaceful space frames jaw dropping mountain views, providing the perfect spot for relaxing by the water. The porch is conveniently equipped with hurricane shutters to keep out pollen, wind and rain when the home is not in use.
The great room includes dining for 10+ and an open kitchen equipped with a breakfast bar island, double oven, under counter ice maker, 5 burner gas cooktop, built in microwave, Bosch dishwasher and walk-in pantry. Around the corner is a dry bar, laundry room with sink and entry to the 2 car garage. A half bath and coat closet are located off the foyer. The private master bedroom is located off the great room offering lake and mountain views. The spacious master bath features a double vanity, separate water closet, air-jetted tub, separate tiled shower with seamless glass door and a generous walk-in closet. Enjoy working from the main floor study equipped with a stone fireplace, full bath and French doors that lead out to the lakeside screened porch.
Finishing off the main floor is a guest bedroom with pickled pine walls and a private bathroom with tiled bath/shower combo.
Located upstairs is a large lofted game room/living room that overlooks the great room with windows providing lake and mountain views. This is a great space for reading or playing board games. Also located upstairs are four guest bedrooms, each with pine paneled walls, ample closet space and private bathrooms with tiled shower/tub combos. Two of the bedrooms feature lake views and closets large enough to house a crib. One of the bedrooms features access to a large, unfinished storage room above the garage.
The terrace level features a bright and open family room with a stone fireplace, built-in media cabinet, whitewashed pine paneling, coffered ceiling and French doors leading to a covered stone terrace. The family room opens to a dining space and 2nd kitchen equipped with granite countertops, an island with breakfast bar, Bosch dishwasher, Kitchen-aid warming drawer, Amana refrigerator/freezer combo and under counter ice maker. A half bath is located off the kitchen area. A spacious bonus room currently houses a ping pong table but would make a great exercise room. Completing the terrace level are 2 guest bedrooms, both with private bathrooms featuring tiled shower/bath combos.
The 2-story boathouse showcases one of the best views on Lake Burton. The boathouse is tucked away from main-body boat traffic providing a protected swimming area.

My college friends and I enjoyed our 2nd visit to this beautiful home. Plenty of space for our group of 16. Highly recommend this home for a large group. Each room having it's own bathroom is a plus.
This gorgeous home gave us our dream view of Lake Burton! We had a wonderful stay with enough room for our family to have privacy and large group spaces for gatherings. The kitchen is well-equipped and every bedroom has a bathroom. We hope to stay again!
The house has lots of room and having both the upstairs and downstairs living spaces were great so that the football fans could watch their favorite teams this weekend.
This property is perfect for large family. This is our second time renting and it never disappoints. Owner easy to work with. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our family time together! Thanks
Our whole family (21) of us were there for the week and we completely enjoyed the view and the lake experiences. We had plenty of space to spread out.
We were planning on doing various things in the area but except for grocery shopping we hardly left the place.
This was a return trip for us. It was a great family getaway. The house is very well appointed and comfortable for large groups without ever feeling cramped or crowded. Great communication from the host during booking and check in with the property manager. They were very accommodating and made sure we were all set to enjoy another stay at this awesome and inviting home. No reason to hesitate if you're considering staying, you'll be glad you did too.
We have been vacationing on Lake Burton for many years, and this home is by far the best home we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. We were here for a family reunion and the home layout was perfect for the multiple generations. The amenities were fabulous. You will not find a better location on the lake. Deep water perfect for swimming, jumping off the boathouse, fishing and keeping the rental boat. The home was extremely clean and well stocked with everything you need! The Trapnell family could not be more accommodating and responsive as well. The home gets 10 stars!!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can return in the future. Thank you!
Incredible house. Went well beyond meeting our expectations. The house is amazing and the views are stunning. We had three families there (6 adults and children ranging from 2-14 years old). Could have easily fit another family. The upstairs deck is screened in and has a massive fireplace. We spent most of our time out there. Two story dock where the kids can jump off from the second floor. Plenty of parking. The listing only says two parking spots, but I think that means only two covered spots in the garage. You can fit another 3-4 cars in the driveway. Overall, 10/10 - would rent again in a heartbeat.
Beautiful home exceeded my expectations. It is nicer than the pictures! Home is very spacious including the social areas as well as the bedrooms. The lake view is perfect. Only thing i would suggest is TV's in the bedrooms. Also guests should keep in mind while the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, there is not much to do or restaurants that deliver- nearest town is about 30 minutes away. I would rent the house again in a heartbeat!!
Our family, aged 7-70, had the perfect Lake Burton experience! The area is so mystical. Deeply wooded, peaceful, and quiet. Your eyes feast on the mountain views and the morning smoke as it burns off the lake.....and that deep, cold, sparkling, emerald water, oh so pretty. My fav was sitting on the screened porch, rocking to my hearts content, enjoying the gleeful sounds of the grandkids, swimming in the cove below. The house was very comfortable and inviting-- filled with lots of amenities, the perfect Lake Burton decor, and a warmth brought on by decades of happy memories.
This is definitely a "Beautiful Lake Burton Home!" Our group of 17 family members ranged in age from 14 to 82 years. Each and every one had a grand time in this wonderful three-story, eight-bedroom home. Plenty of space with private baths for each bedroom. Three refrigerators made it easy to keep things cold, and two ice makers was a plus this time of year. We rented a wake board boat from Anchorage Marine, Inc. on three of the seven days at the lake--the kids loved it. We also took a day to visit Helen, GA (30 minutes) where we went to The Lost Room Escape Adventures (escape room)--highly recommend! Corn hole tournaments on the lower porch entertained us two evenings--great fun! Thanks for a memorable week, host Jeffery Trammel!
We had the very best time staying with our extended family at this lake house. The house was amazing and had the BEST views on the lake. Many wonderful memories created over the past week. Can’t wait to tell others how Great Lake Burton is.
While this did not affect our stay, I did want to note the listing says, hot tub. There was not a hot tub.
Also, the bottom rung on the step ladder going into the lake was broken. My father in law is older and could not get in/out of the lake because of this. I’m sure this will get fixed for the future.
Our time at Lake Burton was awesome even though it was the craziest cold temperatures ever!
Bo decorated the house for Christmas for us which was so thoughtful!
What a stunning home! Beautifully decorated, spacious, ample SPACE for a big group!
The walls must be sound proof- so nice to sleep undisturbed by others still awake. So many sitting spaces, couches, chairs, puzzle table and fireplaces! Great kitchen, great beds with lots of warm blankets and space heaters as needed!
3 of the best refrigerators ever in a rental!! So fantastic! 2 great dishwashers and a kitchen island with 3 trash cans in the island was the sign of someone who thought out the kitchen remodel carefully.
We had as many as 18 with us and everyone had a fantastic experience!
Bring less cars if you can since parking space is adequate but not ample!
We will be back! Thanks for the memories!
We found the property to be perfect for a pretty large group like ours. We had 13 adults. We loved that the house had many different gathering areas and two kitchen areas. Two dish washers made it easy to clean up after meals. The view is wonderful.
Our 5th summer on Lake Burton and 3rd at this house. It's the best house for a large group. So many spaces in the house for all ages to enjoy! Already cannot wait to return.
The MOST amazing property! So very spacious with plenty of room for all! Best view on the lake….our family’s favorite spot for our get together!
Property manager is so helpful!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
