(SLO County, CA/Short-Term Rental License #6004179) Duplex is 1.5 mi. to Oceano Dunes Vehicular Recreation Area entrance! The Rental Unit is entered on the back alley side of duplex. The driveway can accommodate up to 3 cars and extra garage parking (door has 7' clearance) is available for an ATV trailer or another car. A beach annual pass is available for your use as well. There is a $50 replacement fee required if you should lose the pass. You will find coffee, tea bags, hot chocolate packets, sugars and creamers, snack bars, instant oatmeal packets, and filtered water for your enjoyment. You will have a code assigned for entering and exiting at any time of day or night. You have access to use of the garage for laundry and utility sink, darts, jigsaw puzzles, bikes, beach gear and some reading materials. The two car garage can be used for parking a trailer or car. The garage door access code will be the same as the entrance code that you will be assigned before arrival. The kitchen is set up for meal preps and serving, including a crock pot! The living room has a fireplace (electronic), and a cabinet with games, DVDs and VCR tapes for your viewing. The rental is good for couples, business travelers & families (13 yrs old and up). We consider pets (dogs only) but please no heavy shedders! KEEP THEM OFF ALL FURNITURE AND BEDS and BRING YOUR OWN PET BEDDING, BOWLS etc. The side patio/rock yard is fenced for pet containment. bathrooms: 1 Bedrooms: 2 Beds: 2 (both are queen size) Check In: Anytime after 3PM (24 hr. private entrance access) Check Out: 11AM Property type: House/Duplex Room type: Entire home/apt No smoking inside rental unit (including the garage) No parties or events (low key visits for bbq etc. by a few other family/friends in the area fine, but no overnight additional guests please) May not be safe or suitable for children (0-12 years), so registered guests are to be 13 years of age or older.

Loved our stay at the Pelican House. It was very clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfy anf neighborhood so quiet at night. The firepit was so nice to gather round in the evening. So nice the dogs were welcomed. TJ was a great communicator and super responsive. Close Location to Grover and Pismo beaches was an added bonus. Would most definitely come back!!
We live in Santa Rosa and arranged to meet our son, who lives in LA, somewhere along the Central Coast. This place is a great location, not far from the beach and close to SLOtown. The place is comfortable, spacious and quiet.
My extended weekend to visit family got blasted by an emergency remote work project that consumed almost all my time. The silver lining, besides how wonderful my sister was, was this was a perfect place to stay. The place was immaculate, comfortable and adorable. We were close enough to family to join for meals. Beds were comfy and kitchen and bath well appointed. Owner was a dream to work with. Hope to be back.
We stayed at TJ’s place as we were visiting family in Pismo. The home is super clean, beautifully decorated with the Pelican theme and stocked with all the essentials and more! The natural lighting throughout the home is lovely. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was exactly as described, and had even more nice extra amenities than we could have imagined. We loved our time there and both the house and the outdoor space was perfect for two couples and our dog. TJ was very responsive even though we only had one minor question. Awesome place!

The Pelican House was a wonderful
place to stay. TJ our host made it very welcoming for us and the amenities were above and beyond what we expected. There was very quick access to the beaches. We loved having a pass that TJ provided to drive on the beach for many beautiful sunsets and sitting by the fires and telling ghosts stories on Pawpaw’s birthday with our grandchildren. 😊

Stayed the weekend to visit some family in the area. House was very well kept, clean, and furnished very nicely. Great backyard for dogs to wonder. BBQ grill was top of the line. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. One of the nicest, if not the nicest VRBO’s we have stayed in. Would highly recommend to friends and family and would like to stay again when back in the area.

We visited with 3 of us adults. Two dogs were here and the place couldnt have been more perfect. A decent sized backyard allowed the dogs to play a bit and safely go to the bathroom. TJ was a fantastic host... very communicative and allowed us an early checkin and slightly later checkout. beach pass, wine, and overall cleanliness was the extra above and beyond that we all loved. Lovely two bedroom cottage provided everything necessary for a pleasant stay within a short drive of great beaches. Attached garage gives covered parking. Minor noise factor (motorcycles, trucks, chainsaws) at certain times during the day, but not at night. TJ, the property manager, was great. Price was right, too. We'd stay there again.

What a wonderful place to stay, I felt like I was in a beach cottage, the home is nicely decorated and SUPER clean. I had my dogs with me and the fenced in yard was perfect for them. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need - and a lot of nice extra touches. There is beach gear and games, two bicycles, board games and puzzles - you won't need to buy anything. Washer dryer in the garage, lots of parking, and a quiet neighborhood. I loved it!

My sister, Betti Boop, and myself (TJ) are basically retired and live together now in the front unit of this duplex. I bought the duplex in 2001 and have always rented out the other side on a monthly rental until now. Boop lived there from 2006 until the recent move-in with me. I have decided to try the vacation rental approach with the unit. I have listed it with both VRBO and Airbnb, and Betti is my Co-Host, managing it for me. We grew up in Texas and we want to share that friendly, hospitable mentality as your Hosts. There is a gate between the side yard patios of our duplex units. We keep it closed for your privacy. However, it is always unlocked for your access to us at anytime you should want to meet us for a visit, need info, want ideas, have an issue, etc. We are members of the fraternal organizations in our area (Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Eagles Aerie, American Legion, VFW) and would be happy to meet up with you as guests to enjoy a visit and cocktails during your stay! However you should wish, we welcome the opportunity to meet you:)

We are close to the off road vehicle recreational area, a Melodrama Theater, the Monarch Butterfly Preserve, Arroyo Grande Hospital, five different fraternal lodges, eateries, wineries, three public piers, hot springs, spas and the Outlet Malls! As a part of the Five Cities area (Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Shell Beach, Arroyo Grande and Oceano), we have access to goods, services and entertainment. Yet, Oceano is among the agricultural fields and has a serenely rural feel. As well, our place is located in a quiet, laid-back neighborhood with easy access to Hwy 1, the beach and Hwy 101. From our house, we can walk to the local post office, local grocery store (has a great butcher counter and deli counter), Efren's Mexican Restaurant, Sylvester's Burgers, a couple of smaller taco shops, a fruit/veggie stand, the Melodrama Live Theatre, the Eagles Aerie... I love to do my walking routine at night and have done so for years without any fear factor:) UBER SERVICE is also available in our area!
