Very comfortable and well located.

Blue Lagoon was comfortable, nice lot, great screened porch, and was an easy walk to the beach and the village. House was full of information on what to do, where to go, and owner recommendations. Rich, Ali and Chloe (Girl Scout cookies) live nearby and are very helpful . Village is loaded with good Restaraunts. And February weather was perfect. Be sure to catch a sunset.

Siesta Key Sojourn

We have stayed in the same cottage for a few years now. We have always found the house clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and convenient to both beach and village. As dog owners, we particularly like the fact that the house is dog-friendly. While the furnishings are not "brand new" and some items show a bit of age and use, the house and furnishings are plenty adequate for a beach house stay on Siesta Key. Owners Rich and Ali are very welcoming and always helpful. All in all a very pleasant sojourn on Siesta Key and our rating for this rental is excellent. Angela C

FANTASTIC Stay at Blue Lagoon! Highly recommended

My wife, I and our son's family of 4 just got back from a FANTASTIC stay in the Blue Lagoon, located a short walk to the most amazing beach and near the Siesta Key village which has ample restaurants, shops and great music, food and drinks. The house and grounds are private, spacious, very comfortable, authentic Florida and always impeccably clean. The large screened in front lanai and back deck by the lagoon are particularly favorite gathering points and places to enjoy the warm Florida climate. Rich and Ali the owners and their daughter Chloe are terrific. They expertly maintain and stock the property, including extras like bikes, lounge chairs and sand toys. They also gave us endless possibilities on what to see and do and where the best spots to eat are through out the region. This is our 3rd year in a row enjoying this slice of heaven and we have only sampled a small part of what is available. We HIGHLY recommend this property and owners.

Love The Blue Lagoon

We recently stayed at the Blue Lagoon house for 2 months. We had a wonderful time! The owners Rich and Ali are very nice, helpful and accommodating. The house is extremely comfortable and cozy and it was so nice to be able to stretch out with a large screened in porch, 2 good size bedrooms and living areas and 2 bathrooms. It was also so nice to have a kitchen where we could cook many of our meals. The location of the house is excellent, within walking distance or a short drive to the beach and the village where there are many great restaurants and bars. The owners, house and location were all amazing and we can't wait to come back next year.

Best Kept Secret in Siesta Key - Plan to Stay at Same House for next 25 Winters

We love the place we found on VRBO. It was Better than the listing description and the photos provided a were very accurate picture of the house. The house is fairly priced and meets all of our needs and the needs of our two cats who insist on coming with us to Florida. They love sitting on the screened porch at night with the lights out. We have several waves of family come and visit us each year. Lots of room for family to stay. Our daughter with husband and our two granddaughters has already "volunteered" to visit us each winter for the next 25 years we plan to rent the same house. We have been there for three winters and have put together a four page list of things to do and places to visit in the Sarasota area. There are many things for children and adults to do in the area, e.g., boat harbor cruises, Big Cat Habitat (safehaven for many big exotic animals), Drum Circle at the beach, etc. The owners of the property we rent are excellent in helping with our every need, to include finding a cat pet-sitter when we had to fly home unexpectedly for a parent in her final days. We would highly recommend this property to anyone - family or friend, just not for the months we rent it. We have traveled to many countries around the world, and to all 50 states. This is an excellent property with wonderful owners.

We are Ali, Rich and Chloe Jane Light. We moved to Siesta Key in 1997 and have never looked back. We absolutely love living here and sharing our paradise with our guests. We have been renting our six cosy bungalows since 1998. Ali is an artist and has drawn inspiration for colors and design of our bungalows from our travels to Hawaii, Ireland, and the British Virgin Islands. Rich was a custom design home builder and landlord for many years in the Philadelphia region, so together we have found the perfect match for having beach rentals.

When we moved to Siesta Key in 1997 we knew that we wanted to be able to share this gorgeous area with others and having rentals seemed to be the perfect way.

The unique benefit of staying at our properties are the ability to walk right to the beach and village, or we provide bicycles so you can explore the island. We are always available and live just a few doors away from most of our places. We are always excited to share our favorite places and restaurants so even our single guests feel like they have family here. Pets are welcome with a refundable pet deposit.
