Cayman Reef is always wonderful! So close to restaurants and grocery but yet feels worlds away on the beach. Beds were so comfy with plenty of pillows. Hostess was fabulous with detailed information for the property and the surrounding area. She was also available by a quick message through the app if needed! We look forward to returning to the Cayman Reef again.

Wonderful place

The condo at Cayman Reef Resort was wonderful. It was big and it had all the amenities of a home. It was centrally located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Trinda, the property owner, was very responsive and thoughtful even leaving a champagne and rum cake upon our arrival. We will definitely be back! Thank you Trinda

Excellent accomodation in great location

My family (4 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay. The condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. We appreciated the large washer and dryer - we didn't really need to pack so many clothes! The beach immediately in front of Cayman Reef Resorts had been washed away but there was a nice stretch of sand adjacent to the property that was like our own private beach. Floats, chairs and noodles were provided for use at the beach.The location is perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants and Camana Bay.Trinda was very flexible with allowing us to reschedule our booking, and letting us check in early and check out late.

Wonderful Vacation

We stayed at Cayman Reef for a week and had a wonderful vacation. We traveled with our 2.5 year old son and friends. The location of the condo was absolutely perfect, we loved that it was on the beach and a short walk to Camana Bay with tons of restaurants. The beach is quiet, not overcrowded and the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The condo was clean and great for our needs, we added on a few days of cleaning service so it felt more like a vacation and less like a rental. Trinda was easy to communicate with and answered our questions. There is a detailed guide book for the condo which was helpful if you are first timers to the Island. We would 100% return!

Nice location. Needs cleaning

Unit is located in a great area. South end of seven mile beach. There really isn’t any sand beach though at the property as it’s been washed away. They need to do a deep cleaning of the unit and carpet. A few little things too that need to be addressed like the patio doors are difficult to open. There were beach chairs which we used every day and a cooler. Lots of things to do within walking distance of the unit. The host was nice.

Nice but could use some TLC

It was a quaint place in good proximity to the beach. Carpet and towels in need of deep cleaning or updating; showed a lot of wear and stains. Roach found in a bedroom. Not enough seats, plates or silver for 7 people. Pillows were not good. Hard to find extra blankets. Never received filter for the Brita. The snorkels, beach toys and floats were a nice touch.

So disappointed to read this review especially since your son and I had communicated during the stay and he texted after check out to say how much you all enjoyed the stay. We replace our towels every 6 months and also have the carpets steamed cleaned every 6 months. The timing is now and I apologize that these items were not up to par. As you can tell from our other reviews, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard in the complex in our condos so wish we had an opportunity to rectify for you during your stay. We have bedding for the three beds and the sofa bed but I understand you had another person sleeping on the floor. I'm surprised about the pillows comments as we have Pacific Coast pillows and a lot of guests ask where we buy them because they like them so much. I will look into this right away as well as your mention of being short of plates and silver. I hope that you still enjoyed your visit to Cayman.

Fantastic location. Absolutely no need for a rental car. Camana Bay has plenty of restaurants and there is a large grocery store next to Camana Bay. Beach chairs and umbrellas available everyday at the condo. The water is Top 2 with the Turks for beauty in the islands.

Highly Recommend!!

My wife and 3 children (ages 10 to 21) stayed here for a week. The home was well situated. We were able to walk to the beach in minutes or walk over to Camana Bay in under 10 minutes. There are also numerous restaurants nearby and several notable ones just a short drive down the road. The condo is nicely decorated and appears to have been recently renovated with every modern amenity you could want/need. Check in was easy and the host was always accessible if needed. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again if we should return to this amazing island.

Exceptional & Worry Free Stay!

My family of five had a wonderful stay at this property. Our experience from booking to arrival was very easy and Trinda was extremely responsive to my questions. The condo is centrally located to all the was perfect. We were just a walk from Camana Bay and great restaurants and shops. The beach was beautiful and was near the public beach which offered lots of activities. My teenage kids loved that the wifi was very, very good, a must for teenagers who play video games in the evenings. Every detail was thought of. Unlike other places we have stayed, Trinda provided everything you need in the kitchen, including pans, paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, sponge, and cooking tools. The bathrooms were clean and she even included detergent for the washer and dryer. The air conditioner was fabulous during a very hot week and the ceiling fans were great to circulate the air. We can't say enough about the location, the renovation of the unit and all the amenities. There were even floaties and noodles for the beach and great beach towels. Our family had a great time and is already talking about going back next year. A few tips for anyone staying there. You really don't need a rental car because it is near so many shops and restaurants that are all in walking distance. Also, we ate at and recommend Bandidos, Saltwater Grill (our favorite), Fidel Murpheys, and The Waterfront. All very good. For something different, you must try Good Mood Food a very delicious food truck. We also ate at Cimboco, and Agua which we don't recommend. Cimboco was average but probably best for breakfast and Agua was over priced and also average and disappointing. For dessert, you must stop at Gelato & Co. Thanks Trinda for making this a worry free vacation!

Trinda’s condo was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The condo was well equipped, beds super comfy and the big TV was a plus. Pool and beach were great, and location on seven mile beach was great access for dive company Pick ups. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Trinda’s “book” was really helpful. We’ll be back!

Wonderful place in a great location!

We loved staying at Trinda’s condo! It is at a great location on 7 mile beach. Can walk to so many places and steps to the ocean. I would agree with one of the previous reviews that Trinda should add a few items to the kitchen (larger non stick pans to cook breakfast, a full set of measuring cups, more knives, a set of pots etc) for guests who like to do some more cooking in the condo. Other than that, it’s a clean condo, comfortable beds, great location and I can’t wait to rent from her my next stay in Grand Cayman. I loved the personal touch of the welcome basket with some snacks, rum cake and wine! :). Also, a personalized thank you note...great touch Trinda! I would definitely recommend this condo to everyone and will hopefully rent again soon!

Nicely Appointed Condo.. Great Location.. Helpful Owner!!

Second trip to Grand Cayman and although the Condo is very acceptable, what we loved about our first place, closer to Cemetery beach, was you walked out 10 feet and the amount of underwater wildlife was astounding.. Not so much at this location.. To be fair , winds did get rather high so maybe in calm conditions, it may have been much better. Trinda was extremely helpful from replacing lost Tennis racquets once we notified her of their absence, to finding us on the beach to be sure all was OK.. We are not very picky so the facility was perfect for us. Yes the unit has been used, but the overall flavor of the Condo. is indicative of an Owner who wants to do everything she can to fix anything that is broken ( new Washing Machine needed to be rebooted by unplugging machine, and plugging back in...actually good to know) or answer any concerns you have in short order.. For us, that's a really good Landlord!! Thank you for a nice Vacation!! See you again. Dan/ Donna

Wonderful Condo For Our Family Vacation

Perfect lay out for our family to enjoy a wonderful week at the beach. The condo was clean, well kept and well furnished with nearly everything we needed. Six adults and two small children were all comfortable, each with our own rooms. Plenty of shared space inside and out to gather for meals, movies on tv or just relaxing. Just a short walk to the pool or beach. The fully equipped kitchen let us prepare our own meals. Washer and dryer in the unit was also very handy. We had a wonderful stay only wishing we could find the time to stay longer.

Great family friendly condo

We had a great stay at Trinda's property on Seven Mile Beach. Trinda was very responsive even while she was traveling herself. The nicely renovated condo was very comfortable and spacious. It was family friendly for our 2- and 5-year old children. Very helpful that both a pack-n-play as well as a high chair were provided, which is not common in rentals. I'll note the gate at the top of the stairs didn't close quite right, but it was sufficient for our needs. Conveniently located to everything with many helpful recommendations provided. Walking distance to many places but we had a car to explore further. Also a quick walk down the beach to the Marriott to snorkel at their artificial reef. The beach at Cayman Reef Resort is large and clean with lots of room for the kids to play. This was our fourth time down to Grand Cayman, but our first in this condo, and we enjoyed it so much we have already booked it again for next year..

A wonderful stay-once again

This will be the 2nd year we have stayed in one of Trinda's condos- always clean comfortable, and has everything you need and MORE! It was the extra amenities that made our stay even nicer- Wifi, fully equipped kitchen, lots of linens, washer and dryer, even a echo dot "Alexa" to keep us entertained! Wonderful rental that has it all in an amazing location

Wonderful rental! You can tell Trinda wants to make people happy and have everything during their stay. This started with a personalized note and a bottle of wine welcoming us. The Apt came with pots, pans, dishes, all types of glasses, coffee maker, toaster, amazon echo, huge tv with all channels you can think of, WiFi, hair dryers, pack and play and high chair (huge for us traveling with little one), towels, bedding, and beach towels. (as a germaphobe, personally, I really appreciated everything being white because you can see it was clean and knew it can be bleached- if needed). The beds were all new and very comfortable -we slept great! The upgrades and decorating was done with great taste. You can tell it wasn’t cheap by looking at things like the kohler bathroom fixtures/tubs and other appliances through out. This apt overlooks pool and ocean. Each room has ceiling fans that worked great and you were able to set AC to temp was comfortable for you, which to our surprise, because of the fans we didn’t keep as cool as we do in states. Cayman reef resort is perfect location. It’s feet from sand, which is private beach, about 0.5 mile to Canama Bay, and about 5 Min ride to grocery store. Also across street is liquor store and it’s within walking distance so many great restaurants. The property is very quiet and well maintained. You see people constantly working on it to keep up appearance. Our only negative is we wished we could have stayed longer!

Great unit, nicely updated and loved the beds and pillows!

It is a little further back then Unit 57 where family friends stayed and not as equipped but that is because Unit 57 has been a rental for much longer and past tenants probably left alot. Unit 60 did have all the essentials needed. Cayman Reef is a great location! You can walk to everything including some of the best bars/restaurants! Overall very nice and we would def stay again. The owner, Trinda, is the absolute best!

An ideal stay for a perfect family vacation!

The ideal condo in an ideal location. Our family of 4 stayed at the Cayman Reef Resort, unit #60. It’s beautifully renovated, extremely well maintained and beyond comfortable. It truly is a home away from home, only this home happens to be located a few steps away from one of the best beaches in the world! The three bedroom unit has a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, 2 full size bathrooms, washer dryer, 4 TV’s, Amazon Echo, and free wifi. The bedrooms are pretty much all the same size, so you won’t have problems with the kids arguing who gets which bedroom. We never had any issues getting an umbrella and lounge chairs on the beach, and we also didn’t go down to the beach until 9am or so. The pool was pretty much empty most of the time, so if you have young ones who are just learning to swim, this would also be ideal. The beach itself is amazing. The ocean is crystal clear and the beach powdery white. We usually started our day with a long walk along the beach around 6am. The colours in the water and the sky are awesome at that time. We would make our breakfast and then head down to the beach. With the fully equipped kitchen it was easy to make lunch or grab snacks or even make cocktails. You could make the 15 minute walk to Fosters (it’s west/to the right of the condo) and pick up groceries or easily take a bus, which passes by every few minutes, and only costs $2 per ride. Dinner, we treated ourselves out most nights. There are so many different type of restaurants and cuisines to choose from, also many within walking distances. Check out Camana Bay across the road. You can do so many excursions, from Sting Ray city (a must), to horse back riding on the beach, to scuba diving, or just go snorkeling right in front of the resort. A perfect end to the day is watching the sunset, again in front of the resort. Trinda is very easy to work with and very accommodating. She’s just a call or text away. We are already talking about booking for next year. As we said, we found our home away from home!
