We had an outstanding late June experience at the chalet. Communication with the owners was excellent. They provided timely ideas and suggestions for hikes and dining in the area a few days prior to our artival. There was so much for teenagers and a family to do on the property itself. Truckee works as a great base for the entire North Lake Tahoe area. Highly recommend and would stay again without question.

The house was very well appointed and met the description perfectly. Everyone had a great time. Easy bike ride to Truckee and close to great hikes and golf!

Everything you need and more

Another great stay! This has become our favorite vacation rental and our go to spot in the Truckee area. One of a kind spot that quickly puts you into vacation mode. Plenty of space to spread out, but intimate and cozy. Private and secluded, plenty of great snow fun right outside, no need to drive the kids to a snow park. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful property

Our family had a wonderful time at the Sugar Pine Estate. There was plenty of room for our family of 8. The patio area was so peaceful and beautiful. The kitchen had everything you could need and more! The beds comfortable and the hot tub was a hit! We would definitely come back!

We had such a wonderful stay and can’t recommend this property enough. It was incredibly child-friendly, truly a dream for families. We barely had to pack anything because the home was so thoughtfully stocked with cribs, a bassinet, high chair, toys, and all the little details that make traveling with kids stress-free.The property itself is stunning and feels very private, which made it perfect for relaxing and unplugging. Our dogs loved it just as much as we did, and we spent our evenings making fires, unwinding, and enjoying quality family time together.This was our first time visiting Truckee, and staying here made the experience even more special. We would absolutely love to come back and hope to return again in the future.

Amazing home!

We have rented many homes through VRBO and Airbnb and this one gets the best one yet. The feel of the home is so fantastic! We rented it with another family and it worked well for that. We loved gathering around the fireplace every evening after our days of skiing. The owners have done a terrific job of stocking the home with necessities that we have noticed missing in most homes that we rent (Saran Wrap, foil) and provisions that were above and beyond (a Smores kit, tea, maple syrup). We would love to return again!

Great truckee trip

First of all, we started running a VRBO in colorado about a year ago and when we travel usually stay at Vrbo as opposed to hotels. Checkin and check out and communication with the owners was wonderful. This was a great find and perfect for what we were looking for. I was a bit worried when we found the location off of the highway it would be loud - but it absolutely wasn’t. Close to downtown truckee when we did runs out for food and fun. Beds were super comfortable, sheets and towels great and the bathrooms are beautiful. What made it a great stay was all of the extras. The game room, board games, pool table, hot tub, bocce court, badminton and the outdoor seating is a lot of fun for the family and the grounds are beautiful. Thanks for the great stay!

One of the best ever!

This property was wonderful. The attention to detail was a 10/10. It felt like a home that was lived in rather than a rental, because of the quality of furnishings and thoughtfulness. The beds and bedding were really comfy. The property itself is gorgeous and private. We loved not being able to see or hear neighbors. The outdoor living space was also lovely. It was too hot to use the outdoor fireplaces, but next time! We had a great time with the pool table and video games inside. We didn't get to the bocce or horseshoes or volleyball. We will be back :)

Great trees get away

We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property. The outside was breathtaking at night with the lighted trees and the inside was immaculate and spacious. My elderly father had no issue getting around, and our two teenagers had a blast in the hang out room on the ground level. We would definitely recommend to large parties and those who are looking for a cabin in the woods!

Winter wonderland Chalet

As the above title describes we were at the Chalet during a snowy long weekend. It is a pristine property and beautiful home. We hiked, show shoed, soaked in the hot tub and spent many hours around the fireplace. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. We brought our dog and there were plenty of blankets and toys for her to enjoy. The hosts presented us with a wine and treats for both the people and our dog. I would love to stay in the Chalet during the summer as I expect the hiking in that area would be beautiful.

MAGICAL AND CALMING

Such a well furnished home, so many cute touches to the interior and exterior. Nice surprises await. Will definitely stay here again and again. The only complaint is the main floor bedroom pillows need replacing.

The decorative pillows on the bed are "fluffy" and designed for side sleepers, the other large(king size) pillows are all natural goose down and look a little flat if they are not fluffed up regularly. Beautiful Truckee Home

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Pine Estate. The home was beautiful, well-appointed/decorated, clean, and comfortable. We loved the big fireplace, woodsy setting, hot tub, game room, recently remodeled master bath, and the fact that it's dog-friendly with a huge fenced yard. Thanks for a great stay! We'll be back!

Winter Wonderland

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was as good if not better than the first. It has the perfect vibes for a mountain getaway and all the amenities you could ask for. The steam shower in the primary bedroom is just what you need after a hard day of playing in the snow. We look forward to our next stay.

Gorgeous property in excellent location

Our family— grandmother, two adult daughters and their partners, and two grandchildren (8 and 11)—stayed at this beautiful home over Thanksgiving. The property is quite convenient to Truckee and the Tahoe basin but also feels removed in a lovely way, off a long driveway, with beautiful views and surrounding woods. The kitchen was the best equipped I’ve encountered in many home-away stays. The owner was friendly and responsive to questions. I can’t say enough good things about the experience,

An excellent return booking!

Our family found this amazing property last year and enjoyed 3 weeks of beauty and comfort again this year. The house is perfectly appointed, and there are so many thoughtful assets; multiple high end air purifiers, a perfectly maintained jacuzzi spa, plenty of towels and linens, a pantry that is beautifully stocked, great game room fixtures, and a kitchen with excellent appliances and tools. The furniture is comfortable and also fresh and thoughtful. While it is not in downtown Truckee, it is just a few minutes away from a new Raley's One grocery, and a short drive to town. This is a place where you feel at home and are happy to settle in. There are trails around the property and it is private and quiet. The owner/property manager has always been available for questions and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend staying here. It is an exceptional and unique property.

Wonderful Family Getaway!

We absolutely LOVED staying at this incredible property! My family, including two teen daughters and a new puppy, spent a memorable and relaxing week at this special home. It’s conveniently located near Truckee, but feels like a wonderfully private getaway in the woods! It’s extremely well-maintained, very clean, thoughtfully stocked with everything you need, and the hosts kindly checked in on us during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. We all loved hanging out on the deck and lower patio taking in the beautiful scenery and our puppy loved running around in the corral connected to the house.
