The Blue Whale is the perfect little beach house & in a prime location on SGI. You have easy access to the beach right out the front door and right in the middle of SGI night life. My family really enjoyed our stay there & Mr. John is an excellent host!

The cottage is charming and has character. The location is great with easy access to the beach, shopping,and just going for a bicycle ride around town. Bikes provided by the host, John, who is very pleasant , personable, and helpfull.

Hello and we’re sorry that you only felt like our cottage earned 3 stars. We communicated sever times during you stay and you never indicated any problems. We try to be very upfront with folks in advance that this is an older home… but clean and comfortable with lots of extras. You’ll see previous reviews are very positive. Saint George Island really is a special place, isn’t it? We are so happy that our cottage is your homebase here! We’ve just finished a lot of maintenance, along with the new refrigerator and new exterior paint. We’ve also got the front door adjusted so that it functions much better! What a beautiful place! We had a wonderful time at the Blue Whale! Dog friendly, location is perfect, hot tub was great and John was the best host! He was great to communicate with! We’ve been to SGI multiple times and no one has been better to work with than John!

This cottage is one of the older homes on the beach and is very quaint, with a personality of its own. The cottage was ready for us before check-in, and the owner, John let us know right away. We spoke with John a few days before leaving for our trip he let us know about the cottage, and the "rules of the property". He told us if we had any problems to give him a call and he would take care of the issue. On Sunday we did have an issue with the shower head, I called him and he had the issue fixed within a couple of hours. He was a pleasure to speak with and a man of his word. The price was right for what we were looking for!

Great place to stay!

This place is great! It definitely has charm to it. The location can’t be beat. You can easily walk to all the restaurants and shops from here. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful week at the beach

The location is perfect. It’s in walking distance to restaurants and had a great view of the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the waves and the hot tub was a plus!

The blue whale is exactly what you need if you’re looking for a cozy getaway. We loved the fact that it was built in the 90s! This is a must stay!!
