Perfect Family Getaway

Very old, the balcony was unusable because the AC was leaking water the whole time it was on. The check in process was kind of confusing because it involved going to the room first to get the garage key, coming back down, moving the car to the appropriate spot and then being able to be done with the check in. Not very seamless. The furniture was very old and the beds both creaked on the slightest movement. The location was the only good part.

Great Stay

Definitely a good trip. The property was as advertised and had everything we needed. Loved the location as it was within walking distance to the heart of Waikiki. The free parking was a definite plus and the beds were really comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

The condo was very well maintained and very convenient within walking of shopping, the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the view from our lanai/balcony and had plenty of amenities. This condo was priced great for our weeks stay.

First family trip by flight out of Mainland USA

First Family trip of 6 to Hawaii. Our stay at Waikiki Banyan was the BEST experience for us first timers. Everything went as advertised with NO hiccups! We will book through Vrbo for next family trip. Mahalo

Great location!

Our rental was great for our family. The location was great! Close to the beach and restaurants. The included parking was a huge plus. Be mindful if you rent a large vehicle the garage has limited spaces and may not have room for that size all the time. We ran into that issue only once but the rest of the time we were able to park in the garage. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall satisfactory

The only things i saw that were wrong with the condo is that the toilet had a minor issue with the water shutoff valve and the floatation device in it. The other thing is that the toaster had its handle broken off.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Took my trip end of August. In general this is a Great place to stay at. Walking distance from the beach and parking is included. A couple of things that need improvement: the property manager takes some time to respond back to msg (at least a full day). They only have one beach chair and no umbrella. It would be nice if they could provide an umbrella. I would stay here again.

nice, but not as nice as the pictures portray.

Nice, but could have been cleaner and some amenities in the kitchen would have been nice. Coffee, tea, creamer, sugar... It's the little things that would make a difference. The main parts of the condo were clean. Bedding, towels, counters were clean, but the corners were full of very old ... hair, bugs and just old ... :-/

No bar or handles in bathroom & bath tub!! I almost slipped every time during shower! SCARY!!

Beds were clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Property manager provided a new toaster when I said there were none. Bathtub faucet drips, and shower lacks towel racks. Location was excellent; can see part of the ocean and the church. Dripping water from upstairs a/c reduced enjoyment of balcony and wears down cement balcony. The curtains were functional. Everything worked and was clean. One small bar of soap and shampoo not enough even for one person staying for more than a week.

Reviewer Comments: we usually stay at the Royal Kuhio but it was sold out by the time we booked.The property is very well located .Parking included is a must especially in Waikiki.The property was ok.. The door to the lanai wasnt working properly and kept coming off its tracks.There is no chest drawer in the bedroom .. There was a small piece of furniture but full of books and dvd.The bedroom closet was big but all the shelves were taking by to many towels.we didnt any of the amenities so cant comment on thatFor the price and for 4 nights, it was fine but we will go back to the Royal Kuhio next time.. More updated

I read the reviews and emailed property manager asking if room was as pictured, they replied Yes and eased my concerns however it was not as pictured (very dated), has a weird odor, the flooring trim was detached with exposed grout, the bathroom is very small with poor yellow lighting and it’s the only mirror in the place. our SUV rental was too big to keep in the garage, there’s 4 elevators only 2 work and would take us 15min to get on (I spoke to elevator mechanic and maintenance workers who said everything breaks down because “it’s old”). The refrigerator has complimentary drinks which were expired. I wish I was able to upload the pictures I took, it was one of those “what I ordered versus what I got” moments but for what I paid I was expecting so much more

We loved that there's laundry on each floor, pool & playground, and free parking. The unit was clean. We appreciated the beach towels & chairs, iron & ironing board, and fully stocked kitchen. However, this unit could use some attention from maintenance personnel. Upon arrival, we found the toilet seat falling off. The rental company did come & repair upon request, though there were other things we noticed throughout our stay. They weren't worth mentioning at the time, as we chose to enjoy our vacation rather than worry about a to-do list for our rental unit. The bathroom towel bar was coming off the wall, some kitchen cabinet handles were broken, the tub drained slowly, etc. This unit could be fantastic. It just needs some general maintenance & upkeep.

Reviewer Comments: We booked our unit 7 months ago because we fell in love with this updated apartment with white living room furniture, 2 white beds with fancy skirting, and lovely view. We felt the price was right for what we would have. On arrival we believed that this was not the unit rented. Furniture was old rundown mismatched pieces, beds thrown together and the dresser shown in the bedroom picture was missing - no place to put our clothes. The bedroom cupboard was stuffed top to bottom with junk and no room for hanging clothes. So much need for repair, including a threshold that fell off floorboards, lights not working, sliding doors that don't slide, drapes falling off the ceiling, a toilet that runs constantly, a poorly outfitted kitchen with l teaspoon, 2 tablespoons, 1 saucer,1 wine glass, old scary pots, no dish rack, broken colander, 2 lights not working under microwave, and SO much more. This is not the unit that we paid for, so dissappointing.

they still have not fixed the sofa

We should have listened to the prior reviews. For months the property manager has not fixed the sofa, despite being told it is broken. You can't sit on the sofa (the cushions fall off). We did not want to have to deal with a repair visit, so we just used it to put our suitcases on. Very disappointing this has not been fixed. This is a nice condo but the managers refuse to fix the sofa. There are some other minor issues like the stools for the counter are not the right size (too tall), and the toaster handle is broken. You also need to make a reservation to use the coin operated bbq grill (we passed on this after the security guards were rude to us). One of the two hot tubs is not hot. The other one is of course usually very crowded. The TV is very low end. TVs are so cheap nowadays why not put a decent one in? The stove "stovetop is hot" light stays on permanently, will not turn off. This condo is being mismanaged. All this said, we would stay here again if they would just fix the sofa. The beds are great, the parking is great, and the location is great. Come on guys, just do some minor upgrades and start getting good reviews.
