Esta impecable casa unifamiliar de 4 dormitorios fue completamente remodelada en 2018, incluidas todas las cocinas y baños nuevos.

A solo una hora en automóvil de Denver, esta hermosa residencia en el condado de Summit está perfectamente ubicada en el corazón del país de esquí de Colorado y está a solo minutos de las áreas de esquí de A-Basin, Loveland, Keystone, Copper Mountain y Breckenridge ... y a solo 45 minutos de Vail y Beaver Creek.

TLDR: Great value for a fun quiet getaway. This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood with walkable access to local trails and parks, but is still close enough to town to be convenient.It was the ideal place for our ski trip, with plenty of room for gear in the heated garage, and ample coat and shoe storage inside. There's a sizable common area, but we spent most of our visiting time in the inviting and well-appointed kitchen. There was plenty of space and quiet for eight people (including two couples), with two of the three full bathrooms as ensuites.

Great mountain lodging in a wonderful location!

The Bighorn Lodge was everything it advertised! It was so well stocked with all the appliances and kitchen staples that anyone would need! It had lots of room so kids had a big play area and adults (the lucky ones) could sleep in! The backyard was lovely and perfect for drinks before dinner. We would definately stay here again!!

Perfect Home for our stay!!!

The owners were so great and helpful! They let us check in early bc they were done cleaning early. The house had everything you would need to cook anything!! Drive way and garage heated! Location was perfect close by to everything. We loved our stay would def come back!

From the pre-check in comminations to the thank you when we checked out, Susan was the best rental owner!!! My family and I had the pleasure of spending the Thanksgiving Holiday at this lovely home. It had everything we needed and more (games, slides, plush towels, and cozy blankets)!!! The kitchen was pleasure to cook in and well stocked. Every single gadget and pot size you could need was there and it made cook a holiday meal away from home a breeze. Highly remcommnd this rental.

Perfect vacation home

This home exceeded our expectations. It is the best stocked house I have ever rented. The house is clean and in a great area. The owners are very easy to communicate with. It was the perfect distance for skiing at Breckenridge. We will stay again and ski Keystone or Cooper. I’m very pleased. We are a family of 7 with grown children and teens and this suited our needs perfectly.

Perfect Vacation Rental!

We loved our stay here! The home was even better than the photos...clean, organized and plenty of room to spread out and relax! Susan has thought of everything to make this the perfect rental! Fully stocked kitchen, large entry with tons of hooks and places for ski gear, games, toys and DVD’s to keep kids busy, comfortable beds with plenty of extra pillows and blankets, labeled light switches, lots of hooks in the bathrooms, etc. The only thing missing in my opinion, is a hot tub! But, even without that - this place hits all the marks for a great vacation rental. We will be back!

Wonderful, spacious home close to skiing!

Our two families with kids ranging from 8-15 years really enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful and in excellent condition, with all of the amenities you need. Plenty of space for both adults and children, large eat in kitchen with island for additional seating, two living rooms, large bed rooms and enough bathrooms for everyone. We booked this house for a ski trip and the entry way was amazing and spacious enough to deposit our ski boots, ski coats/pants, and other gear for 8 people with plenty of space in the garage for skis and two cars. The house comes stocked with puzzles and games, sleds, tons of blankets and towels, washer and dryer, everything we could need for a week away from home. The host was excellent with communication and made the experience easy and enjoyable. We loved our stay, would highly recommend this rental for families and will definitely be back!

Incredible home in a spectacular location

Our family gathered at this beautiful home over the Christmas weekend to celebrate and ski at Breckenridge. The home was creatively decorated and fully stocked for all of our needs. It had ample room to sleep our family of 8 adults. I would recommend it highly!

Far exceeded our expectations!

Just returned home from a wonderful 4 night stay at Big Horn Lodge. We have never stayed at a VRBO that was more thoughtfully put together, there was not a thing we needed that was not provided. It was spotless, well planned and the bedrooms were amazing. The bunk bed room for kids included toys, books, etc. Our family spent so much time cooking and gathering in the amazing kitchen that had everything we needed and then some! We also enjoyed the beautiful, well kept back yard! I could go on and on but suffice it to say we would definitely rent this house again. Thank you Susan and Michael for all you have done to make this home a perfect place for gathering and making wonderful memories with our family!

The best VRBO we’ve ever had

We stayed at Big Horn Lodge for three nights with our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids). We live in the Denver area and do mountain VROBs at least a couple times a year. This was the cleanest and best we’ve ever had! I cannot say enough good things about it and we’ll absolutely rent it again. It was designed with a group vacation rental in mind… plenty of towel hooks in the bathrooms, etc. We saw deer in the backyard daily and loved playing yard games in the grass. It was nice having such a grassy area for the kids… so many homes just have the mountain dirt but this was a well cared for lawn. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. We met the owners outside and they were very kind and welcoming. My kids loved the park just down the street and we noticed there was a fishing pond next to the park for ages 15 and under. We’ll bring fishing poles next time! The only tiny downside was that the curtains on the bedroom windows were a very light colored linen. They’re very pretty, but they didn’t block out any light. It was a bit tough to get the kids to sleep when the sun was still up. We ended up buying some cheap blackout drapes for our infant’s room and getting creative with hanging blankets in the other bedrooms. Not at all a big deal, but I’ll bring some blackout curtains from home to put on their rods next time. We had such a lovely time… wish we could move right in!

Michael is originally from Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to Summit County, Colorado and started working at Keystone Resort immediately after graduating from the University of Iowa in 1993 (Go Hawks!). Michael is skiing or biking every chance he gets. Michael and his wife, Susan, are residents of Silverthorne.

Susan was born and raised in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. She moved to Summit County in 1993 after graduating from West Chester University. Like Michael, Susan began her real estate career in the mid 1990’s. She has also been very active in the Summit County School District and many other volunteer positions throughout the community. She is currently a board member with the Slifer Foundation!

They enjoy the active outdoor orientated lifestyle the area provides with their 2 daughters. Madison received degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Math and a Math Masters at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo. She is currently obtaining her PHD at Colorado School of Mines. Sophie is attending University of Denver studying Media and Business.

This house is among the best I’ve ever stayed in. During the drive in, there was some bad road conditions that the owner helped us navigate. They were close by and available but not intrusive. The house was immaculate; great location and lots of kind, hospitable touches. Would absolutely stay here again.
