I COULD GO ON AND ON, WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THATCH BAY COTTAGE MORE THAT I EVER DREAMED WE WOULD. OUR FIRST TRIP TO EXUMA AND IT WILL NOT BE OUR LAST. IT WAS JUST MY HUSBAND AND I. THE HOUSE WAS GORGEOUS, WE ENJOYED THE PORCH SO MUCH, THE BEACH WAS GREAT, WE SNORKLED AND FOUND SEVERAL STAR FISH RIGHT OUT OUR BACK DOOR, WALKED THE BEACH MANY TIMES, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SUN RISES, THE HOUSE WAS VERY WELL FURNISHED, THE OWNERS HAVE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING, IF YOU NEED IT, THEY'VE GOT IT THERE FOR YOU FROM COOLERS TO SNORKEL GEAR, BEACH CHAIRS, FLOATS, BEACH TOWELS, ETC. WONDERFUL COMMUNICATION AND A TERRIFIC GUIDE TO EXUMA IS PROVIDED! WE CANNOT WAIT TO COME BACK! WE LOVED THE SECLUSION OF LITTLE EXUMA!

The house was amazing and the privacy was outstanding! This off the grid vacation is not for everyone. My wife and I had a wonderful week. The people on the island are very nice and warm. 10/10

Thatch Bay is Wonderful!

This is our third trip to Exuma. We decided to stay somewhere new this time, and decided to try Little Exuma. Thatch Bay was perfect! Beautiful home and location! Beach all to ourselves - didn't see another person while we were there. Total relaxation! The beaches on Little Exuma are perfect (and I think better than great exuma). Its a bit of a hike to get back to Georgetown, but that is to be expected for the privacy we had and was not a concern whatsoever for us. Clean home, well appointed, great communication with the owners. We will be back! Thank you!

Paradise

Thatch Bay Cottage is a beautiful home with modern amenities. The patio and views can't be beat. Everything you need just outside your door - turquoise water, snorkeling, starfish and soft white sand. Easy to have groceries delivered and enjoy Santanna's just down the road. We had an amazing stay - thank you!

Amazing family vacation at Thatch Bay Cottage

My family and I just spent a wonderful week at Thatch Bay Cottage in Exuma. Simply put, the house is amazing. It truly has everything you can ask for in a relaxing beach getaway. The house was immaculately clean and organized. The layout is very open and spacious, with stunning views of the bluest water you'll ever see! We spent a lot of time relaxing and taking in the breeze and views from the wraparound porch. The garage is loaded with all sorts of beach and water toys and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all the accessories you'd find at home. The location of the house offers so much privacy (we ran into the neighbors staying at the pink house up the road only a couple of times over the course of the week). We felt very safe throughout our stay and the locals from the nearby restaurants and businesses were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you to Che and Glen for being such gracious hosts. They are extremely helpful and thoughtful and provide a wonderful guide book on the house and Exuma as a whole. Esther, the property manager, was very kind, attentive and helpful. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Thatch Bay Cottage and highly recommend this property. We look forward to spending another week in paradise in the future.

Little Exuma Getaway

This home is amazing and..... the view!!! The home is very private and very well stocked. It offers you the use of their kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear, chairs, and so much more. We enjoyed traveling the island and exploring the different beaches. Tropic of Cancer and Forbes Hill beach are very close by. It was always so nice to return at the end of the day and be able to enjoy the amenities of the house.

Amazing family vacation!

This home can not be beat! The gorgeous views, private beach, wrap around porch.... We will definitely be returning to this beautiful home. My only suggestion is to be sure you have everything you need groceries/basics before you head to the home. It is pretty far east/south, so you have a good drive to go back into Georgetown. Definitely go visit Tropic of Cancer beach...beautiful! Chef Anne prepared a meal for us and it was amazing. Can not wait to return to Thatch Bay!

Short and sweet. Esther, the local property contact, and her sweet family are amazing. Extremely helpful. The property is beautiful. The home is meticulously maintained. Incredible location - because it's so remote. No one for miles either way on the beach, usually. We will be back for sure

Beautiful house in an idyllic setting. Paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling gear are all top quality. Esther, the house manager, was very responsive to all of our questions. We will miss our morning swims in the ocean.

I love Exuma, this was my third visit to the Island and my first at Thatch Bay Cottage. The house is in my favorite part of the island and was perfect. I could not have asked for anything better. Perfect vacation

We recently stayed at the Thatch Bay Cottage and can't wait to return. The house exceeded all of our expectations. Communication with the owner's and property manager was great from the time we booked through our last day. The house is very secluded, which is perfect for what we were looking for.

Exuma Getaway

My family and I visited Exuma mid March and stayed at Thatch Bay Cottage - glad we did! It is a beautiful, well kept, clean, comfortable home with great views and amenities. The communication before our visit and during our stay was impressive. They do provide a guide to Exuma that helped with our decision making. We would highly recommend this property to anybody making a visit to the island.

Thatch Bay Cottage aka Paradise

First of all the owners are really easy to communicate with. They have all the bases covered with an incredibly useful stay guide. The cottage is a private getaway on the South side of Little Exuma. We rarely felt the desire to leave Little Exuma except when we ran out of booze. The pink house is your closest neighbor but not at all too close. Sunrise off the water into the main bedroom was gorgeous. If you want to sleep in bring eye masks as the room gets lit with beautiful sunlight. The sunsets were amazing from the other side of the deck while grilling. You’ll most definitely want to go to Tropic of Cancer beach (beach side grill and cocktails), the Turtle Pond restaurant (Chef Ann is a new friend and will cook in the cottage), Tropic Breeze (the chef is also a new friend) and Santana’s (get the cracked conch). Lastly hook up with Capt Theo for a private book trip. He will cater to what you want to do. We were not interested in the hogs, iguanas, or nursesharks. So we snorkeled a beautiful healthy coral reef. Then went to the sandbar and starfish bay. We Had lunch on Stocking Island at Chat n Chill. We finished our trip swimming with the most beautiful group of green turtles who would almost come up and hug you with their fins. If you’re not necessarily a “all inclusive resort” type then this is the place for you. I hope you enjoy this paradise as much as we did.

Wow ! From the communication before coming to island to the beautiful views you can’t go wrong with Thatch bay! The property was clean, functional, and beautifully designed. Amzing house on a wonderful beach

The house was very clean, especially for caribbean standards. The owner and property manager were wonderful at checking in to see if there was anything we needed. The house has 3 good sized bedrooms and a nice open floorplan for the kitchen/ dinning/ living area which was great! We traveled with our 2 year old and the everything was very safe and secure and the beach was nice and flat. Would definatly recomend the property!

Spectacular!

Thatch Bay Cottage was wonderful. Absolutely beautiful home base, comfortable and very clean. We had two days of bad weather and all five of us commented how nice it was to be stuck in such a comfortable and lovely home. This was our first trip to Exuma and we loved it. The beaches are incredible as was the beach/water right in front of the cottage which we also enjoyed immensely. Our original flight was cancelled so we arrived a day late. Che and Glen were excellent to communicate with the entire time; timely/compassionate. Esther the property manager was great as well. We would definitely go back!

A Slice of Paradise

If you're on the fence about booking this house for your vacation - don't hesitate and reserve it now! Our family of five had the most relaxing week at Thatch Bay Cottage. We were blown away when we walked up the steps to the house and saw the beautiful panoramic windows out to the ocean. The house had everything to make our stay comfortable. It's clear Che and Glen put a lot of thought into the decor of the house and ensuring it had everything to make it feel like home. The house was spotless when we arrived and beds were comfortable. We took advantage of the two paddle boards and two kayaks - as well as the beach chairs, umbrellas and floats. Make sure you explore the different beaches around Little Exuma. We loved brining the chairs and floats to Tropic of Cancer Beach. The house book and PDF version that Che and Glen sent over was really helpful. We booked our car with Thompsons Rentals (very easy pickup and return), boat rental from Minn's, and used Chef Anne for a private dinner at the house. A huge thank you to Esther, the Property Manager. She was extremely responsive to our questions during the stay, and even helped us secure a new boat rental when our original was canceled. Again, I can't reiterate how great our vacation was at Thatch Bay Cottage. Our memories here will last a lifetime.

I have been to Exuma many, many, many times and know what you need to have it all during your stay - thatch bay cottage has it all. Location, location, location. Situated on a private, shallow and beautiful beach - the views and sunsets are stunning. Che and Glen thought of everything - so the deck is an incredible place for morning coffee, daytime sunning, romantic dinners or dinners with a big group of friends. And the stars at night. Wow. You are located between Tropic of Cancer beach and Santanas which are both must do’s if coming to exuma. Stop at the grocery store before heading to the house - and get all the foods you like to make because the house has a great grill and incredible kitchen with all things. Or have chef Anne come cook dinner for you. Amazing. For the water- Floaties, paddle boards, kayaks, water shoes - they have it all for your convenience. The inside of the cottage is sparkling clean and aesthetically top notch for those design snobs out there (hi). It’s perfect. I slept great and loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Everything you need in a house is there. We loved every minute of our stay. Would recommend it to even the most discerning traveler. Top notch.
