There’s nothing about this place that went above and beyond, but did the trick. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was nice. Small, but I knew going into it that it was small. The kitchen was decently stocked with pots and pans but could use some more utensils. The location was fabulous! Short walk to the beach was nice with littles. Commodore's Retreat needed some TLC. The building needed some attention and the pool was disappointing. The patio around the pool area was narrow and slanted, not level. The weeds were taking over the pool deck and surrounding fence. The ramp getting to and from the pool area was dangerous and broken. The pool was not used by my family, which is a bummer considering it's nice to have to get a break from the ocean or if the ocean had double red flags for the day. Benchmark Management answered all questions and was easy to contact with quick responses.

Nice relaxing get away

We enjoy this location as it’s a bit off the beaten track but close to everything . The property could use a little updating and clean up . The ac units in the garage are slightly & the piles of beach toys and chairs at the entry to boardwalk is a real eye sore and obstacle course to get by at times . Much of it looks like it’s been there for quite some time . Aside from that we had some internet issues on your last night prohibiting us from tv or laptop usage . The unit was perfect for us , clean and great view . Wish it had the rugs on the floor that were shown in the pictures but I think maybe they were pulled up due to being aged and worn . Hopefully they will replace soon .

Phenomenal Beachfront

We loved this place!! All the modern amenities. Decor was great, beds very comfortable. Directly on the beach. Watched dolphins swim in the ocean each morning. Lots of Restaurants and shopping near by. Only negative one comment - need to change area rugs. They Very dirty. Everything else was perfect!!!

Cozy and clean

The condo was great! Appreciated the extra storage! It is cozy but plenty of room for two adults and a kid or two. Love this location!! The sand and water doesn’t get any prettier than this!

Perfect place for myself and daughters. Easy beach access and chair service was wonderful! Condo could stand a new rug or two but being outside most of day it didn’t matter. Great trip!

Needs Refreshing

While the location is ideal, the property is in need of upgrades. The rugs are very worn and appear dirty. The comforter on the bed was once pretty but now has tears in it. The pillows need replacing. The kitchen is somewhat under-equipped. It could be refreshed easily.

Great location, a little worn

The location was perfect, but the space felt a little worn. It clearly was renovated with newer finishes, but the area rugs looked dirty and fan in bathroom and vents needed to be cleaned. We didn’t have any extra toilet paper or paper towels and had to go out to get some and it would have been nice of beach towels were provided for the price we paid.

We were more than satisfied with the accommodations - the bed is comfortable and kitchen is well stocked, the AC works great, and the view is unbeatable. We would recommend the addition of a few beach towels, another reclining chair on the balcony, and a trim up of the palm trees. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this incredible location, which is close to amazing restaurants and shops!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the condo was nice and it had everything that is needed except for a hairdryer. The exterior of the building needs cleaning and refreshing. The key fobs needed for entry to AND exit from the beach were especially annoying and since we only had 1 fob and a possibility of 6 people in the condo was highly inconvenient. I would suggest a key code instead of the fob. The water went out in the entire building while we were there. I used the “text only” to Benchmark and no one ever answered my text message. Luckily it was only off a few hours. Inwould have to think hard about renting a condo again that Benchmark managed.

It was clean and all of the check-in and check-out instructions were very clear. We would 100% stay here again. The only things that were a little inconvenient were that they only supply one roll of toilet paper, no paper towel, one trash bag and no small kitchen things like salt & pepper or cooking spray. Also the palm trees off the balcony obstruct the view of the beach and ocean.

My husband and I had to take turns looking at the view because of whatever is growing in front of the condo is taking over and we only had a small window to view. The beaches were so clean and the water was gorgeous!
