This was the perfect spot we needed for a quick relaxation trip to 30A. It has been many years since we have been to 30A and I’ve always loved the beaches here. This spot delivered exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful ocean view from the porch and two chairs to take in the sun and salt air.

Very welcoming. Elevator wasn’t working and shower had little water pressure making it difficult to wash your hair. Other than that, it was awesome.

Beautiful View!

We loved staying at Commodore’s Retreat! The condo was clean and comfortable. Having chairs and an umbrella set up and ready for us was so convenient as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Water drains slow! Needs a plumber to clean bathroom drains. Excessive sand in rug!Great location!Luv Bugs made using the balcony impossible.Biting flies were a problem at the beach.Our understanding is that this happens this time of the year when the wind is from the north.

Beautiful Beaches

Best place on the beach. Everything close that we needed. A lot of construction in the area, but did not effect our stay. Just drive slowly past the workers! Only thing was no parking for persons visiting us, otherwise no complaints

Beach break

Small older property directly on beautiful private beach. Condo was very clean, good quiet location right off 30A. I was glad to be on 1st floor since elevator was not working. Hopefully it will be repaired by my next visit as I definitely plan to return.

Quick getaway

We have stayed at this condominium complex multiple times in different units. The rental offers a great view, beach access and complimentary beach chair setup which I always want when I vacation on 30A. Check in/out is easy as the door codes are provided prior to arrival. As with any beach location, parking is a challenge with a large vehicle. This is the first time we have been here during a peak period (spring break) where there was no parking available in the lot. This would not preclude me from returning, however it is just something to note if you have a large truck or SUV.

Nice beach front place

Great beach front property. Top bunk bed was very short. Mold issue in the bathroom should be addressed. Felt like not giving us trash bags was a bit cheap as most place provide those and would have like heads up. It was odd they also asked us directly via email if we want to view property for sale. Otherwise grwat place with amazing balcony. Parking was tight but good. Beach chairs and umbrella was nice.

Great location, unit needs updating

We absolutely love staying at Commodores Retreat, but we have had a mixed experience with units. The first unit we stayed in on the 3rd floor was in great shape, but this trip we stayed on the 1st floor and the unit needed renovating. The location here is amazing, and price is great, too! We love waking up to the beach just outside of our door and it makes it easy not having to lug everything to the beach. We can simply go back to the condo for food or drinks. Unfortunately, this unit was in need of cleaning and repair. Mainly, the bathroom was very moldy/mildewy and the walls were in need of washing. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and we appreciated the communication by the rental company.

Low key beach trip

Check and in and arrival was great. The condo was as described. Location is excellent! The area feels very safe and has a classic family beach town vibe. We realized on our second night that the washing machine was not working. We contacted the manager and it needed a new part. It was repaired 3 days later, the day before we were checking out. This was an inconvenience but the property manager made it right by giving us a partial refund! The condo and pool are a little dated but if you are looking for a reasonably priced small condo on the water in a beautiful location away from the crowds of Destin, this is the place for you! I would stay here again!

Couple trip

The condo was very clean. Great location. Walk to beach is fabulous. Plenty of towels. You could use more blankets for this time of year. The furniture is pathetic. It is worn, uncomfortable and very creaky with any movement. Balcony table is in horrible shape as well. Price is great but I would never rent this unit again, Because of furniture. This is my 3rd time renting in this building and I will again just not #102. Please replace your sofa & chairs.

Seagrove beach

I would not stay at this particular unit again as I felt it was not as up to date as others I’ve stayed in..and the items supplied were the bare minimum….i usually will buy items and then leave what I have leftover such as coffee, paper products, cleaning items, salt and pepper but not here because they supplied nothing! Had to have housekeeping come and program remotes because that was not ready, no extra blankets for pullout sofa…vacuum didn’t work, no water pressure, warm water not hot!!! I won’t go on…beautiful location and proximity to beach was perfect just not happy with the unit itself!

My husband and I came for a long weekend and it was the perfect place. This is a less crowded time of the year so beach and restaurants were less crowded. Wonderful view from our balcony and easy walk to the beach. We have stayed at Coomodore’s Retreat several times through the years, in the larger units and it almost felt like coming home!I think one of the only negative is the parking situation and with larger vehicles these days, it just is what it is. There really is no way to change it up.

This place is exactly how it looks. The location is great with easy access to beach. Could have used a keurig but other than that everything we needed was there. You will have to bring all you spices including salt and pepper.

The View!

The View did not disappoint! Bed was comfortable and AC worked great. Having our chairs and umbrella waiting for us each morning was a great bonus. We plan to return!

We have been down here a few times. Love the location, quiet yet accessible, enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella. Having coffee on the balcony watching the dolphins play was relaxing. Already planning next trip. Thanks!
