BEST OF BOTH WORLDS - Gorgeous Back Bay House - 3 houses from beach access

The perfect multi-generational family vacation spot! Perfect for one large family or to share. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms plus a bonus room for the kids so adults and kids can enjoy their own fun time in two completely different areas. Newly refreshed with new carpet, fresh paint, interior decorations and furniture and granite countertops in the kitchen.

For those that enjoy the surf and sand, we are just 3 houses from the beach - a very easy walk to get you back and forth from the beach so not a big deal if you have to get back to the house.

The house sits on the back bay at the eastern end of the island and offers a new large floating dock and gazebo where you can swim, fish and launch your kayaks, paddle boards or dock your boat. Beautiful decks and large screened in porch allow you to enjoy the gorgeous marsh area throughout the day.

The kitchen offers brand new appliances, granite countertops and a wonderfully stocked kitchen so you are able to stay in and cook from home to enjoy more time on the island.

Below the house is a brand new large outside shower and changing area as well as a great entertaining area for friends and family. There is also a gas grill downstairs for cookouts.

All bedrooms, living room and bonus room are furnished with smart TVs and the house has high-speed WiFi. There is also a renters closet downstairs where you can find a wagon to take supplies down to the beach as well as beach umbrellas and chairs.

We’ve stayed at Sunset Beach dozens of times in different places and this one was the nicest we’ve ever had! Well-maintained and well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Quick walk to the beach and a nice dock and gazebo. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Awesome beach Trip!

Hosts were extremely helpful to navigate some misleading VRBO messaging during check-in. Read all docs VRBO sends, and don't just look at the messages they send you! The check-in procedure was quite well stated in the docs, but we didn't read them thinking (Due to VRBO instructions) that the digital code would be sent separately - it was already sent! The hosts were very fast to help our failures in reading, and were very attentive to anything we needed during the stay. We love this house, it's location, and the screened porch out back - where most breakfasts were had. All in all, it was a very nice stay.

Perfect beach house in the perfect location

This is our second summer staying at this home. Everything you need is here. Owners are very responsive to questions. The canal is great for fishing off the dock and boating. The beach is only a three minute walk away. We look forward to staying again!

Awesome Vacation

We just spent an amazing week at this wonderful beach home. You get the best of both worlds here, the back deck overlooks the inlet and the house is an extremely short walk to the beach. We loved sitting on the back deck in the mornings and evenings, swimming in the inlet, and cooking in the fabulously stocked kitchen. We can’t wait to come again next summer!

Duel Enjoyment

We found this property fit all the needs of a very enjoyable and relaxing family vacation. Our time was spent almost equally between the easily accessible beach front and the bay side with nice pier and navigation to backwaters and the ICW. Neat and clean well stocked kitchen and house. Would recommend for a family getaway.

Sunset Beach Canal House

This is an outstanding property! The online pictures are good but this house is the best! Everything you could possibly need was provided. Very close to the beach access and the canal is great for boating and fishing. This was one of the best beach vacations ever!

Relaxing Long Holiday Weekend

The house was great. Had all of the necessities for cooking. Had a number of wonderful spaces to choose from to either relax and read a book, have a conversation or just sit and enjoy the views. It is a short walk past 3 houses to the beach access or you can use the dock for water sports on the canal leading to the ICW. Communication was fast and easy, check in and out was uneventful and overall a great location to call home for a few days.

My family has vacationed at SBNC for 25+ years. This was the first time we stayed on the canal. What else could you want but the canal in your backyard and a short direct walk to the 15th street beach access. Accommodated three families quite well. Advertised for 12 occupants, but we found only 8 towel sets (we brought our own anyway). Some minor issues with older amenities, but the owners have been making improvements. All in all, would consider re-booking in the future.

Great rental!

This location is perfect, right on the bay with a great view toward Tubb's Inlet and a short walk to the beach access. We even managed to catch quite a few fish out back! The house fit our family perfectly, the upstairs flex room is great for kids and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever seen in a vacation rental, perfect for cooks. We also really appreciated the accessible storage closet full of beach chairs, boogie boards, and even a beach cart. Communicating with the hosts was a breeze, they were helpful and responded promptly. We all agreed we wanted to rent this house again, we loved it!

Great location

The location and house are excellent. They had a great selection of beach items to use and stocked the house with necessities like paper towels/toilet paper/etc., so we didn’t have to run out right away. The only issue we ran into was with arrival. The house was not ready at 4:00 like promised as the cleaning crew was still there. They also do not offer early arrival, so plan accordingly if coming from out of state. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay!

Fishermen's dream

I would highly recommend booking this spacious house for the location and endless fishing options. The house is totally set up with you in mind. Benefits: *Personal bathroom for each couple. (The rental includes 5 bedrooms but we only had 4 couples, so it worked perfect for us) *The dock! The men fished all day and night, just steps from the house. *Fully stocked kitchen *Newer washer and dryer *Interior and exterior table seating to accommodate our whole party ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *Comfy furniture and beds. *Easy access to the beach. (Unfortunately, our direct beach access was under repair) *Easy communication with the host. Recommendations: *Go for the golf cart for quick trips to Costal Grounds or the pier. *dolphin boat tour *Beck's restaurant in Calabash was okay. Blackened grouper is a must! Although we didnt make it, the locals suggested Seafood Hut. *Grab boiled nuts in Calabash. On your way to Calabash, keep your eyes open for gators. *Go to Spilt Milk for the best donuts.

Perfect family vacation

I have been coming to Sunset Beach on family vacations since 1984, and we've tried many houses over the years. We love the bay front, and this house is a perfect example of why! This property is exactly as advertised. It is in a perfect location on the narrow end of the island. You get to enjoy the views over the bay from the house, yet you are only about 200 yards from the beach. On the bay, we enjoyed watching the fiddler crabs digging their holes at low tide, and as the tide was coming up we were able to watch the larger blue crabs scavenging too. We used blood worms to catch a handful of spot off the dock, which were the first fish my kids had ever caught! We had Mr. Beach Rentals deliver a doube kayak for us to explore the bay and marsh areas (beware the tides if you aren't familiar with kayaking in tidal waters). We had 4 generations of my wife's family staying together in the house. Plenty of space for 4 sets of adults in the bedrooms, and then 3 kids in the game room area. The beds were comfy enough that I heard no complaints all week. The kitchen is well stocked, and the supply of initial supplies was helpful. The porch area was perfect for us to enjoy some meals together outside. This is one of the best outdoor seating areas I've seen. The screened in porch is great during high bug times, but we did NOT have any bugs while sitting out on the dock or porch. The outdoor shower is in fantastic condition with plenty of space to help my kids shower too.

We love sharing our special place with our renters and are fortunate to have many families come back year after year. We spend lots of time on our boat, walking on the beach and floating off our dock. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
