Love this place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visit here about every four months. It's my happy place.It's very reasonable price considering it's on the beach. You get a whole place to stay, not just a room. We love that it's dog friendly. We have a service dog but we like to use dog friendly places so we don't have problems.The beach is beautiful and quiet here. We had a problem with the TV after hours and they still came up to the condo right away.

Great location. Beautiful Beach

Everything was great except the bed. Mattress needs to be replaced. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. Nice TV's and comfortable seating in LR. Excellent staff onsite.

Another great New Year at Beachers Lodge

This Condo is Great!

My husband and I enjoyed 4 fabulous days in this lovely condo. The location was great, the beach beautiful and quiet, the office staff friendly and helpful, the overall compound very well-maintained. This unit was equally well-maintained with seemingly fresh paint, it was clean, and everything in working order. Beautifully decorated, the host has it organized and furnished for your convenience. There’s even a deck box with lots of ‘toys’ for ocean or pool use. We enjoyed sitting on the comfy balcony furniture and watching the morning dolphins feeding and ending our day marveling at thunderstorms sending their lighting bolts into the sea. We’ll definitely be back, and hopefully we can book this call condo again.

Great condo and beach

The condo was exactly what I was expecting. My family typically leans towards a more luxurious property, but for our three night stay this was perfect. It was very clean, had a great view of the beach, was quiet and the staff was super helpful and friendly. I do not believe that my family of four could stay here during the summer months since four or more beach towels, swimsuits, shoes etc. would be too much for the space to handle. Our kids are teens though. It was perfect for our winter visit. We loved the balcony and we each had a spot to sit outside and in. Beach towels are not provided so just be sure to bring some! We hope to be back!

Lovely Unit, Great Beach, Rental Company Not Good

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've been staying at Beacher's Lodge on and off for more than 20 years. I love the location and the fact that most units are dog friendly. I spent 3 nights there recently in a lovely oceanfront unit. On my first full day, I was in the elevator to take my dog for a walk on the beach. I didn’t have my cell phone. A maintenance man got in the elevator on a lower floor and made the comment that he was surprised to see the elevator working because it wasn’t the week before, and someone got stuck in it. Needless to say, I carried my phone with me constantly after that. On my last night, I went to take my dog out at 10pm for his final potty break and could not get back in my room. The key didn’t work. I didn’t know what to do. I am a female senior citizen and was by myself. I was terrified and distraught. Keep in mind Beacher’s is not staffed 24/7 like a regular hotel. Fortunately, I had my cell phone, but I didn’t know whom to contact. They give you a brochure at check-in with an after-hours emergency phone number, but that was in the room where you would expect it to be. After 10 minutes or so of unsuccessfully trying to calm down and figure out what to do, I decided to call their reservation call center. I was hung up on a number of times or placed on indefinite hold. I was livid and traumatized. Finally, after another 10 or so minutes of calling, I spoke to a person who said she would call someone. However wrong it was, I screamed at her because of how angry I was. Another 10 minutes later, I see a young black man coming toward me. I had no idea who he was. He was the one who let me in. He asked if I wanted the door fixed, and of course, I needed it fixed because I couldn’t get back in again. By now, it’s close to midnight, and finally, the battery in the door got replaced. The next morning as I was checking out, I told the rental employees that I wanted a night’s credit because of my traumatic experience.

Another Great Stay

Bring Your Own Cookware

Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying this was our second time staying at Beacher's Lodge, the first time was 12 years ago and nothing has really changed. When I choose this particular suite it was because it seemed to be the nicest Dog Friendly suite according to all of the pictures on the website. We were staying for five days and didn't want to eat out every single meal so I planned on cooking. I like to cook and can make myself at home in almost anybody's kitchen, this one was the exception. I wasn't expecting high quality cookware like I have at home but I also didn't expect what was there. The cookware was extremely old and should be in a landfill by now. There was Teflon that was so scratched up I couldn't use it and what I did use had to be washed first since it was greasy. I found a sheet pan under the stove that seemed to be used then just put away, without washing. Since our Bill was over $1300 for 5 days the owner could spend a couple hundred on some new cookware. If we didn't plan on cooking we could have stayed in a hotel and spent less money. All the comforts of home, just not your home. Now to the bed, furniture was nice till you got into bed. It was soft and sagging in the middle and the sheets were thin and very cheap. In an attempt to help the mattress they put a cheap foam mattress topper on it, didn't help much. I would challenge the owner to spend time in their own place every once in a while instead of just raking in the money. I would recommend this unit if cookware and mattress were upgraded.
