I wish we still had the agreement with the Tradewinds to use their facilities. I used to use their fitness center every morning.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My vacation experience was horrible . I will never stay here again, nor will my children who also had a bad experience . I have rented at Sunrise for many years ,I have referred many friends and family who have stayed here . I always rent the penthouse , I always book it a year out . I received a phone call the morning I was due to check in saying the penthouse I had rented had been sold . They said someone was supposed to call me the week before but that did not happen . There was not another penthouse they could offer me . Needless to say , I was devastated . My son and his family had a room and my daughter also had a room . This is not the first time this management company has done this to me . Several years ago , the CC penthouse I had reserved snd paid for was taken from me a few weeks before I was to come . My daughter had a condo on the 4th floor that had a lock issue . She could not get into her room on several occasions and spent several hours trying to get someone to fix the lock . One evening she was locked in and couldn’t get out and had to crawl out the front window. I was offered a room with 10% discount . I had to ask for a supervisor to get 20% discount . I should have been comped for my whole stay considering what they did to me . I got my refund for the penthouse . This management company is the worst . There was no loyalty shown for someone who has been coming here for years . They have lost 3 customers . We will never stay here again !

Another fantastic Sunrise holiday!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had another fantastic stay at Sunrise ! This is in a perfect location with everything you need such as the beautiful beach, plenty of restaurants to suit most tastes, bars and cafes, a few shops and supermarkets and all close to hand. Sunrise is also in a perfect spot for the local transport with the buses and trolleys running very regularly to take you up and down the various beaches and into St Petersburg for a trip to see the new pier or to Tropicana Field for a baseball game or take in the shops and enjoy a meal in one of the many lovely restaurants. We hired a car and enjoyed various trips to Gulfport and Tarpon Springs so there really are plenty of places to visit not too far from Sunrise resort. The resort itself makes the most of being on the inland waterway of which we had a wonderful view of beautiful sunrises from our balcony each morning and we saw dolphins, manatees , Rays and many other fish - fishing off the deck was fun for my husband for many an hour or two! The pool area has plenty of sunbeds available but only 4 sunshades so could do with more shades as it was really hot weather when we were there. All the pool area and gardens are very well kept here so it’s a very nice place to relax or take in a game of shuffleboard or tennis for the more active with all equipment available. We stayed in unit 604 which was great with everything we needed and was nice and bright clean and tidy - the bathroom was a bit dated but had all we needed. The bedrooms were great and beds very comfortable . We enjoyed every minute and would definitely stay again - this was our 4th visit and won’t be the last.The staff here at the property are always on hand and very helpful so Thank you Sunrise we had a great time !

Great location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We LOVED our location. Incredibly easy walk across the street to the beach, and the bay is essentially your back yard. We were able to walk to stores, bars, and restaurants easily as well. However, the replies, or lack thereof from staff when requesting toilet paper and other amenities, was disappointing. Additionally, the website clearly stated they could hold our luggage on checkout day until the time we needed to head to the airport, but we received a lot of attitude about it before they finally agreed to hold for us "just this one time". Overall, the location, rooms, and pool made up for these small things, so I would definitely recommend! Just don't plan on keeping your luggage here and make sure you buy more TP and paper towels as we received one roll of each for an entire week for 4 people.
