Awesome location! On the water and within driving distance to shopping. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the fishing pier and swimming pool! The sleeping accommodations were excellent. Our group had plenty of room to move around and engage in games indoors or outdoors, a must for families with kids!!

Great place to hangout!

Had a great time with family just hanging out! House is well equipped with lots of space, gorgeous views & great pool. Enjoyed catching crab off of dock & swimming.

Awesome Family Visit Getaway

It’s a perfect getaway place! We had an awesome family time! Our grands are ages 2-25. And everyone enjoyed so very much! The pool and the fishing pier were so great! And not to mention the sleeping space, everyone was comfortable! Thanks again!

Fantastic Place!

We were 12 men on a golf weekend. The place is close enough to Lake Charles for us to drive back and forth easily within 30 minutes. We can’t wait to come back for a weekend with our wives. I know they will love the pool.

Perfect house for a bachelor party getaway. Only 30 minutes from the casino. The lights and pier are a perfect set up for night fishing. Only thing that didn't cooperate was mother nature. I give it a solid 10 outta 10!!!!!

Family fun

My wife and I are both retired and we've been planning a trip to south Louisiana for years. So this year we managed to get our family all together from Kansas and Iowa. The place was perfect for all 15 of us. We caught crabs of the dock and 4 big black drums weighed in at 25 to 35 pounds, it was a blast. We all loved the pool too. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to their family together for a week of playing, swimming, crabing, fishing and site seeing. We all loved it!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely magnificent place

Pictures do justice but in person it’s even better. During our stay it was cloudy, windy, and chilly the whole time but didn’t stop us from enjoying the nature and wildlife. Fishing for 12+ hours and the bites don’t stop. Only spent two nights at this paradise but it was well worth it. Everyone that attended loved it and had a great time. We all are grateful to the owners that shared their beautiful home with us. Made some great memories so thank y’all for having us.

so much potential

I have to say, the home needs some repairs desperately. I was actually quite shocked, it was also very dirty. The first thing was all the dust on the fan, the bedroom my son was in the bed was broken and the sheets were either not washed or stained in a place you don't want stains. There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom on the main floor and was also missing handles on the faucet. The doors were beat up, the primary bedroom the drapes wouldn't open, most of the drapes were broken and hanging at goofy angles, some have sting over the window to hole them up. I had asked if they had lounge chairs to lay by the pool, they said they did but what they had were camp chairs in the garage. I will say, the communication was good but when I said sheets were dirty or stained they said that was the first they had ever heard negative about their housekeepers. The location is good, if you are just guys looking for a fishing trip it is probably fine, I expected a lot more, I would never stay in a place as dirty as this. We decided to leave a day early

Living it up! Salt Life at it's finest!

I booked this home for my husband, brother, and six other men that decided to drive 3.5 hours to go saltwater fishing at the last minute. They called me when they arrived and told me "THANK YOU! This home is absolutely OUTSTANDING and perfect to all have our own place to rest after a hard day of fishing!" They went on and on about the accommodations! I have only viewed the property from the water for the past several years but they confirmed it was all it appeared to be and then some! Dealing with the property manager/owner was smooth and easy and even allowed them to get in house early so they could deposit and secure valuables before fishing on Friday afternoon. Definitely would book again!!

ITS A BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY

I love the way this house is laid out. The kitchen is large and easily accommodated several people cooking at once. There's plenty of comfortable seating facing a beautiful waterfront view. The swimming pool was nice and clean. The downstairs bedroom was luxurious, and all but one bedroom was perfectly adequate. However, the mattresses in the smallest upstairs bedroom need to be replaced. They are very uncomfortable. The shag carpeting is dated, and it is treacherous on the stairs, especially on a spot at the top stair that appears uneven. Other than that, it is a great place.

3rd annual ladies crabbing trip

We enjoy staying in this property for size, location, and pool. Always have! On this particular trip, the properties entrance door locks were broken. Spoke to owner and he had someone come in immediately. Attempted to repair but they still are not functioning correctly (we worried about the home being secure while we were in for the evening and out crabbing for the day). I hope that they resolve this before renting to next guests. Wish the previous guests would’ve reported it before we arrived. Please, when renting, report any damages upon arrival bc I felt as if our ladies were being accused for breaking the doors(really?) Any ways, everything else went smoothly

Our new favorite rental!!!!

This property is amazing and Mika is absolutely the best! This property has it all! The home is beautiful and came with everything we needed! The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking or dining utensil you could need. The master bath has a huge spa tub and a shower the size of a small room with multiple shower heads and jet options. The beds were super comfy making it really hard to get up in time to catch the amazing sunrise! We really enjoyed the views! Especially from the comfort of the pool floaties! The fishing was great and the dock is perfect including all kinds of perks such as sinks, running water, and plenty of space for cleaning your catch. We enjoyed the huge balcony and sitting outside as well as swinging in the hammocks on the patio. But our favorite was definitely the pool. By day plenty of soaking up the sun and relaxing and at night the gorgeous lights! Mika was awesome-from working with me through the booking process to giving us pointers on local eating and shopping! Her hospitality was impressive and absolutely appreciated! Kids have declared this is their favorite property we've rented and we agree! Thank you so much for having us and we hope to be back soon!

Disappointed

We were very disappointed in this rental in October 2023. I would rate the cleanliness of the house as poor. There was unflushed Comet cleanser in at least one of the bathroom commodes. There was alarmingly what looked like black mold around several ceiling vents and in other areas in some of the bathrooms. I also had to fix the toilet in the half bath by the side door to remove slime in the mechanism that regulates the fill valve in order to get the tank to refill properly. Both the upstairs and downstairs A/C intake gratings were covered with dirt and the filters looked like they had not been changed in ages. The mattress in the bunk room was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. In the family room there were crumbs on the couch. There were roaches downstairs. In the kitchen, the oven lacked some of the shelves and was dirty as was the inside of the cabinets and drawers. Our biggest complaint was that we could not use the pool which we had paid for. The water was green and there was fungus growing on the side walls below the water level. The pool was totally unusable! When we rented two years ago, the pool was enjoyed by our family and was a major selling point in choosing to rent the property again this year. My grandchildren and their parents brought their swim suits and were very disappointed that they couldn’t swim. I reached out to the owners after our stay through both VRBO and text expressing our disappointment and never received a response

Great stay!

We spent a week in this beautiful home. Enjoyed the outdoors very much, the fishing pier was a hit for the men and boys in our group. The pool was well maintained and clean. The house was clean and property manager was very responsive as needed. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.
