Your family will love spending their vacation on the water when you book Peaceful Waters lakefront home - steps away from a private sandy beach that gently slopes into Loon Lake! Wake up to the sounds of soothing waves lapping against the shoreline and the call of the loon. A private dock, grill, fire pit and cornhole set are provided for your outdoor enjoyment. Bring a thermos while you paddle along the shoreline in either the two kayaks or canoe also included with the rental. Having been completely renovated in 2020, the open-concept living space features tasteful Stickley craftsman furnishings and Millspaugh Furniture/mattresses in the bedrooms. Beautiful floors and lots of natural light from large windows overlook Loon Lake. Enjoy your morning coffee on the large deck complete with an outdoor teak dining set and steamer chairs. The full kitchen boasts attractive countertops, stainless steel appliances, utensils and cookware you'll need to create something special for you and your guests. Your family movie night will be even better when you enjoy it with the HDTV and Sonos speakers. The high-speed 5G WiFi is more than ready to assist in streaming or Zoom calls for work or school. High thread count sheets and towels professionally laundered for your comfort.

Rental is available on a weekly basis (from Saturday to Saturday).

What's nearby:

Winter guests can spend time enjoying the nearby regional snowmobile trail or skiing the slopes of Gore Mountain Ski Resort, just 14 miles away. During summer months, you'll have over 105 feet of sandy shoreline to enjoy and plenty of lake activities to take advantage of. Enjoy fishing for northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and yellow perch on the lake or spending your vacation swimming out from the beach. There are also lots of nearby hiking trails such as Caroline H. Fish Memorial Trails and Stewart Mountain and Kipp Mountain trailheads.

Waterfront location

One canoe and two kayaks are available for guest use (with life jackets). Please rent additional personal floatation devices from Loon Lake Marina for proper fit. Must properly wear life jacket when using canoe/kayaks.

Please note that the dock is in shallow water - do not dive off of the dock.

Parking for four cars is available in the private driveway.

2 luggage racks are provided in each bedroom.

* Per Town of Chester requirements: Fireworks, smoking and accelerants not permitted on premise. Glass bottles/glass are not permitted on beach area or waterfront. Noise ordinance between 10 pm - 7 am.

**Trash service is not available at this property. This property is located in an area administered by the Adirondack Park Commission. As with many remote homes in the Adirondack Park, this is a carry-in, carry-out location. Please take trash to the Chestertown Landfill/Transfer Station at 62 Landon Hill Road which is less than 4 miles away. We provide landfill permit.

Our second year staying at Peaceful Waters and everything was perfect. The house is just beautiful. Clean and comfortable and probably one of the most beautiful spots on the lake. I spent most of my time on the new spot down by the beach on a lounge chair. Beautiful views. The fishing was great too!

Stayed this past week, had an amazing week. The entire experience was perfect. The house is a gem, we didnt want to leave. Beautiful house and location was perfect. Really cannot say enough good things about the house and host. It is a must visit.

If you love the great outdoors this is the perfect place to unwind. Another peaceful week with the family playing games, kayaking, fishing, roasting marshmallows….a little slice of heaven! This is our second time at this location and they just keep making it better.

Beautiful home and location.

We stayed Aug 17-24. Even with the weather being not so great we had a great time. The house has everything you need. It was spotless and very comfortable. We managed to get in a few games of Cornhole and enjoyed the fire pit at night. My daughters went out in the canoe. It’s a beautiful spot on the lake with a nice little beach and dock. My nephew caught a nice size fish right off the dock. Amy was so nice and very accommodating. We had no issues on our trip at all.

A Great Week with Family

We had a fantastic week! The house is in a perfect location. The lake view is beautiful. The private beach was great! We had lots of fun with the canoe and kayaks and every night was spent around the firepit. Lots of family memories were made.

Awesome House, Location, and Host.

We rented this property in July for a second year and we could not have been happier with the experience. Amy was extremely responsive to our questions and so was Tom. The house is exactly as described in the listing and more. We frequent Lake George and we were impressed with the quietness of Loon Lake. The water was warm and clean. We enjoyed using the canoe and having fires by the lake each night. Most nights, even Friday and Saturday, were very quite on the lake. The property is about 25 Minutes from both Bolton and Lake George Village. Also, the property has a propane powered Generac Generator, which should not be overlooked. Storms in the Adirondacks can be fierce in July. A bad thunderstorm hit and the area was without power for several days. No worries though because the Generac powers the entire house for days. We found little reason to visit Lake George Village as the town center and Loon Lake had all we need. The house has ample space for two families. There are two bedrooms on the second floor and two on the first. Both floors have full bathrooms and the first floor has a half bath. Everything was neat and clean with very modern finishes. We enjoyed playing games in the living room and watching Red Sox games in the late evening. The house has excellent Wi-Fi so you can stream anything you want in a tablet or computer in any room. We highly recommend this property if your looking for a true Lake House experience. Thank you Amy and Tom!

Lovely home on a beautiful lake

This is the second time we stayed at this beautiful lake house. The location cannot be beat as it is right on a sandy beach perfect for little kids. The house is comfortable and clean with lovely decor. This house is perfect for a family getaway.

Highly Recommend

Beautiful view and very nice house. Quality materials used when they renovated with detail given to all aspects making this house a great stay. Kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. Nice outdoor seating on deck and by the lake. The owner was very quick to respond to questions. Would definitely recommend and will come back if we are in the area. No need to look further.

Loon Lake getaway 2023

This is our 2nd summer in a row at this same property We love it! The property has amazing views of the lake. It is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and my kids enjoyed fishing. A very peaceful and relaxing place! Would love to rent again for the next summer!

Loon Lake

Great location right on lake. Small swimming area, canoe, kayak come with property, along with fire pit area and corn hole set. Owner timely and responsive to all our questions. Three couples, active adults, had lots to see and do. Recommend highly.

Family Get Away

We totally enjoyed the beach front property on Loon Lake. We had a 4 year old who was constantly in the water. There was plenty of space to spread out. Hiking trails were available to those who were interested.

Vacation Spot

Terrific location for relaxing and spending time with family. Watching the moon rise from either the waterfront porch or fire pit patio was breathtaking. Small beach was excellent for young child and great for the adults to simply lean back and float along in the pristine water. We appreciated the meal seating, inside and out, that easily accommodated our group of 7 adults. The location was less than a 1/2 hour drive to Lake George Village. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful stay at this property.

Beautiful

My family has been staying at loon lake for 50+ years. This was the best home any of my family had ever stayed at. Clean, amazing beach and every thing you’d ever want from an Adirondack home.

We all had a wonderful vacation at your property! The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is beautiful! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding on the lake. A very calming and peaceful getaway. We would love to return next summer!!

We rented this property in July and we could not have been happier with the experience. Amy was extremely responsive to our questions and so was the property manager Skyler. The house is exactly as described in the listing and more. We frequent Lake George and we were impressed with the quietness of Loon Lake. The water was warm and clean. We enjoyed using the canoe and having fires by the lake each night. Most nights, even Friday and Saturday, were very quite on the lake. The property is about 25 Minutes from both Bolton and Lake George Village. We found little reason to visit Lake George Village as the town center and Loon Lake had all we need. The house has ample space for two families. There are two bedrooms on the second floor and two on the first. Both floors have full bathrooms and the first floor has a half bath. Everything was neat and clean with very modern finishes. We enjoyed playing games in the living room and watching Red Sox games in the late evening. The bedrooms don't have TVs, which was mentioned in another review. We didn't see a need for it as there was so much more to do than watch TV in bed. The house has excellent Wi-Fi so you can stream anything you want in a tablet or computer in any room. One of the best family vacations we have had. The only thing we struggled with was the trash, which had to be brought to the local transfer station. We had to go twice before departure, but I fairness we had two families and ate most all meals at the house. The passes are included in the rental, but bigger on-site recycling and trash would have allowed for less trips. We were afraid of leaving any trash out of the bins as I am sure local wildlife would find its way into the bags. All in all this was the only things we felt could use improvement on a otherwise perfect property. I forgot to mention, there is a Weber Grill oj-site as well, which makes for awesome lake grilling. We highly recommend this property if your looking for a true Lake House experience. Thank you Amy!
