The host was very informative and shared any information we would need. She was quick to respond when we had a question.The cabin is an excellent place to sit back and relax. Had everything we needed. We actually looked to book again for the summer so we could enjoy the pond and pool. Everything was clean and there was enough towels, blankets, and pillows available for use.
We enjoyed lots of wildlife every morning.

This property was perfect for our group, plus the property owners were very kind and very communicative. There is a lot to do (between the hot tub and fishing pond and firepit and game room, etc.), and we really enjoyed ourselves. We saw deer in the yard every single day, and it was a very peaceful getaway. I would recommend this property to anyone!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. It was perfectly laid out for our family and the space felt even better in person. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed which made meals easy and enjoyable. The property is beautiful and watching the deer wander through was incredibly peaceful.We highly recommend this cabin and our family will definitely be coming back.

The home was exactly as described. We did not get check in instructions but the owners were easy to contact and kept good communication throughout our stay. This house more than checked every box on our list, it has everything you could imagine and more. Very spacious and so many little touches. I could go on and on but I’ll leave it with we will book again!

We are a Bunco group who try to take a trip together every year. This year there were 8 of us. We spent a day enjoying the pool and another day shuttling on the wine trail. The house was a perfect place to hang in the evenings.

Beautiful home

This home was so beautiful, clean and well maintained. The log cabin, the wooded surroundings and the wildlife is such a peaceful feeling. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, pond, pool table and all the extras this home had. The hosts, Frank and Kathy, were so extremely attentive and helpful. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Annual Family Trip was amazing!

We had a lovely time at the property. Kasia and Frank are wonderful hosts who really understand the motto "it's in the details". We have 5 kids ranging from 7-15 and they loved the pool, playing yard games throughout the beautiful property, and fishing. The adults loved the pool deck and gorgeous firepit. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home & hosts

We had a large group of 11 women. Every single one of us absolutely loved the property. The host was always in communication. Helped when needed & made some wonderful recommendations. This place is the best vrbo our group has ever stayed. I did such a great job finding this amazing vrbo I am now in charge of finding the place every annual girls trip!

Our Stay Was Fantastic!

We loved our entire trip. We all said the pictures do not do the house justice. Beautiful property & fantastic hosts. They have catch and release fishing, the pool is large and clean, hot tub is hot. Everything is well thought out. Leave your beach towels at home, they have plenty. Beds are comfortable! The only thing we could think was missing is kayaks or canoes, but that is a luxury not a need. I hate to go on too much or it may never be available to book again! Haha! Possibly the best rental we have stayed in.

Exceeded Expectations

Found this gem by accident. We were looking for something close to home but wanted to feel like we were on a resort. This cabin was exactly what we needed- high end and extremely private. Don’t pack much because they provide just about everything! We enjoyed watching all the wild life and listening to the kids giggle while playing in the pool - just a relaxing time and making new memories. Very close to town if you need to grab incidentals or try some local restaurants. We will definitely be returning and already planning our next trip. You will enjoy the hosts Kathy & Frank - very attentive!

Family Thanksgiving 2023

We chose your cabin as a central location for family coming in for the holiday. We had folks from Florida, Missouri, and Indiana. We couldn’t have chosen a better place! The cabin had an incredible atmosphere. The attention to detail and amenities couldn’t be beat. Plenty of room for all 12 of us to gather, play games, enjoy the fireplaces, laugh, and make memories. Liked it so well, we already booked time in the summer to come back. And everyone wants to join! Thank you again for sharing your home with us! See ya next year 💙

Absolutely amazing home!

This was our third summer vacationing with friends and it was by far the best. We had four adults and five kids between 4 and 13. Everyone enjoyed the home. The attention to detail is superb. They provided more amenities than any rental I have had before. The house, pool, and property are clearly cared for well. The beds and furniture are so comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and animal visitors. They also played restaurant with the bar and made us all slushies and snacks! We enjoyed reading by the fireplace and playing games together. We also ventured out for hiking in Ferne Clyffe and Giant City, swimming at Kincaid, and bowling. Thank you for your wonderful communication and hospitality! We would certainly rent again.My only note for future renters - there are no weights in the gym anymore, which is probably wise, but there are two bikes and an elliptical.

Perfect for day trips in central/west Shawnee

This location was absolutely perfect for a combination of winery tours and hiking. It is tucked away off the road for a wonderful sense of privacy. The overall house was immaculately clean and sparkled just like in the photos. Kitchen was very large with two sink areas for prep. The professional stove took a minute to figure out but then cooking was a breeze. The only issue we had in the kitchen is that we never did figure out how to turn on the lights above the stove. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were large and well decorated. One of the downstairs bedrooms had an extremely high bed which could have used a little step stool, tucked under the bed. One of our party has been sold on joys of a self-opening/closing and heated toilet seat! ( Downstairs bedroom closest to pool) The pool was shutdown for the season but we used the gas firepit and blue tooth speakers. There were many types of accent lights around the house that added to the welcoming feeling. Our party had mixed feelings on the hot tube. It was kept at 95 F which some thought was too cold while others were fine with it as they felt that they could stay in it longer without overheating. The lake is well stocked and my son caught the largest bluegill he has ever seen. Plenty of crappies and bass as well. We are already talking about planning a spring trip and trying to stay here again!
