This property is being offered to rent by Beaches of South Walton Vacations - a rental management company managing vacation rentals in Seagrove Beach Florida for 17 years. After your Reservation Request is accepted your dates will be secure, and you will receive a call closer to your arrival date. The person that pays for the reservation is also required to sign and return a Reservation Confirmation form that will be emailed after we speak to that person over the telephone closer to the arrival date.

A damage deposit is not charged in advance, and it is not required to purchase Damage Protection Insurance that would cost extra, however, it is required that a valid MasterCard or Visa card be held at the Beaches of South Walton Vacations rental management office to have for any damage should it occur during your stay at the property. This is required even if you choose to purchase Damage Protection Insurance that is offered to you from the Vrbo advertising site. The actual physical card is not needed.

Full payment is required when booking through the Vrbo advertising site. You can elect to buy travel insurance. If you do not buy travel insurance through the Vrbo advertising site, the phone number and Website to the travel insurance company can be provided to you later if you would like. Please keep in mind that the insurance company might not sell insurance within 30 days of an arrival date. You will need to check with them about that and for pricing. If you buy travel insurance, the insurance company can sometimes reimburse you for monies lost should you need to cancel for an emergency within 60 days of the arrival date.

This home is nestled among the live oaks of old Seagrove steps from the brick paved roads of Seaside Florida Beach Resort. This cottage is perfect for a small family or a romantic getaway for two. Connecting to the master bedroom on second floor is a large screened-in porch. Start your day in this wonderful outdoor room while eating morning breakfast at the table and chairs provided for this special place. At the end of the day return to this wonderful sanctuary to relax and reflect on the memories created for the day - your fun time at the beach, biking together on the paved bike path or through quiet pine forests, or relive your shopping excursion where you found new cherished treasures.

The name of this property is Summer Shade. Summer Shade is a small, 1,050 square foot cottage in old Seagrove Beach that has about a 185 square foot screened porch on second floor. The home has a queen bed in the master bedroom on second floor and two very small bedrooms on first floor that have full-size/double beds. A new washer and dryer was installed at the home on June 6, 2025.

The home is not updated as some other homes in the area, but the home is only about a 6-minute walk to the beach access in Seagrove where you can set up your own chairs and umbrellas and is only about a 10-minute walk to the heart of Seaside Resort where there are restaurants and shopping. We feel the home is one of the best values in the Seagrove Beach area for a nice couples getaway or for a small family vacation.

A minimum age of 25 is required to rent and stay at the home. Children visiting with their parents are welcome. The maximum number of people that can occupy the home including adults and children is six. Wedding receptions or other type of large gatherings at the property beyond the maximum occupancy of the home are not allowed. We also do not rent to high school or college age groups that are vacationing together, and pets or smoking are not allowed at the property. There is parking for 2 vehicles.

Also, if you do not already know, you will not be able to access the beach through the Seaside Resort community. Those accesses are only for guests staying directly in that community. You can either set up your own beach chairs and umbrellas at the closest beach access that is between Dogwood and Thyme Street, otherwise, you can rent them from the beach vendor, and they can usually set up either at that beach access or at the next beach access to the east of there at the Hickory Street beach access.
