Upstairs Unit of a Historic Fourplex located in Uptown New Orleans Neighborhood! The area is completely safe, but we want our guests to be aware that it may look rough because of the houses directly next door. The houses next door do not share the same interior or exterior charm as this home. The two houses on the right are abandoned, and the house on the left has full time assisted living tenants. This home is on the 2100-2200 block of Louisiana Ave.Enjoy living in this Historic Uptown home that is a spacious one bedroom apartment with plenty of free street parking!!! Plenty of Natural Lighting during the day and stainless steel appliances and large tv with complimentary Youtube TV! This New Orleans Home features plenty of New Orleans Charm! This Uptown New Orleans home is 5 blocks from the St. Charles Parade Route!!! Enjoy walking to the streetcar or Uber to the French Quarter in 8 minutes! While this home still keeps its me New Orleans charm, we want to make you aware about the neighborhood. This house is centrally located in uptown New Orleans. Directly next door are two abandoned houses that don’t share that same charm. One of them has recently been purchased and is on its way to being completely redone! This is still a very nice home with great people in a great location. My staff and I are on call all day every day to make sure that you have the best 5-Star experience.

We get our towels from a linen company. Sometimes the towels might have blotches (i.e., bleach stains, burn marks, or tears). Our housekeeping does their best to ensure there are no hairs in the towels, but if one is found, it's likely from our housekeeping staff. We strive for this to never happen. If you're not satisfied with the linens, please let us know and we’ll gladly swap them out for you. Please make sure to book for the correct number of guests, as linens are prepared accordingly.

Fabulous host

The host was great and super responsive! The beds were very comfortable. Quaint and perfect for a few nights stay. Location was easy to find and it was easy to get to the French Quarter as well as the zoo.

A nice convenient place for seeing New Orleans

I enjoyed the stay and Genesis was able to quickly respond to any request. It is close to a stop for street cars or what I might call a trolley for a cheap way of getting around. I would stay again if I travel back to New Orleans.

This was a nice unit for 5 people. We did have a few issues but after speaking with the owner they gave us back 25% for the issues we encountered

A nice distance from Bourbon St. but not too far. A short walk to the trolly which was super easy to use and only cost a buck.

Overall great

Everything was fine but it was fairly dirty.. I don’t think they even clean the floors or the rugs at all. Stains on sheets etc. if cleanliness doesn’t bother you this place is perfect!

Awful, couldn't even stay and had to book a hotel

Do not rent this place. Previous renter had said that the property owner let her stay an extra day (a day past my check in) and had no plan of leaving. Resulted in me having to book a hotel. Still trying to get my refund as well. I do not recommend

Convenient Place - would stay again!

Great, clean, cosy, convenient place for our needs! Host is really responsive / easy to contact. Other reviews mention the area - it's right next to the garden district, and to me it just looks a bit *old and weary*, like much of the city that's outside the touristy areas. Conveniently 10mins walk from a tram stop (and bus stops), not far to walk to some food places on Magazine street. One large comfy bed, and another double+single bunk-bed, which was less comfy but fine for a few days. Nice kitchen, etc. Beware the steep / slippy when wet stairs at the entrance - not a problem for us, but could see it being an issue with kids and limited mobility. We had an issue with lights flickering and some outlets not working, but contacted the host to hopefully fix that for future.

Close walk to Streetcar.

Beautiful upstairs apartment. Big bed in one room. Other bedroom has a full size bed on bottom with a twin bed above. A trundle bed is underneath, but did not pull it out. All beds are soft. The couch in the living room is an extra bed as well. Nice kitchen, bathroom and living room. Access is a tall, sturdy metal staircase, in the back. Access is well lit along the right side of the main house. Previous reviews mentioned the structure, I didn’t notice any problems aside from a few cracks in drywall. I felt completely comfortable and save with my 5 year old there. It is walking distance to the St Charles streetcar and parade route. There are older houses around, but none of us felt unsafe in the neighborhood at night. Everyone around was nice, and it was quiet in the neighborhood at night.

False advertising

It is not in a good neighborhood. I did not feel safe. You have to go through a long dark ally to get to the back of the building which unit is on second floor. The property has structural issues to the point that the building is tilted. I found all this out within 24 hours of reservation and they made me pay for all 10 days and did not let me at least leave early.

Excellent place, even better price!

Nice place, super clean, has all the basics. The location is not far from FQ, looks a little rsre in the beginning but super quiet and secure place, I walk there at 3, 4 even 5 am with confidence and feel super relax. When I come back, definitely will search for.this place again. Excellent Host, send you messages with clear instructions for checking-in, and for anything you could need.
