Ready to Soak Up the Sun? We've got the perfect place on one of Jamaica Beach's most desirable scenic canals ready for your coastal getaway!
Bring your boat (we have boat deck)! RELAX on the HUGE wraparound elevated upper deck with sparkling water views! Head to the lower level with multiple outdoor covered (shade type) and uncovered (for our sun worshipers) patios and decks for your enjoyment.

The space
After a day in the water, perhaps it's time to do a bit of fishing from the shore - we've got fishing lights! Thereafter, it's an easy rinse in the newly constructed outdoor shower. Time to dinner? We've got a grill to prepare your latest (and tasty) catch. This home is ALL about outdoor entertainment and loads of FUN!

SLEEP/BATH CONFIGURATION:
~ Master on main level with Queen Bed and luxury hotel grade bedding. (sleeps 2)
~ 2nd bedroom on main level with one twin bed, one bunk bed w/TRUDEL and luxury hotel grade bedding. (sleeps 4)
~ Full shared bath on main level
~ Master on first level with King Bed and luxury hotel grade bedding. (sleeps 2)
~ Sleeper sofa with full mattress in family room on first level. (sleeps 1-2)
~ Full standing shower on first level
** If you intend to use the sleeper sofa during your stay, please bring your own bedding of choice.

This is our 2nd year at this property. Its a family favorite and was voted 1st place for our stay next year. Kids loved the kayaks and fishing off the pier under the green light. I loved the downstairs apartment for the late night fishermen. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen. Since we had a 5 night stay, brought extra paper towels and tp. Thenk you for a great stay and we'll see you next year for a week!

Nice neighborhood

House is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very clean and organized. The kids and grandkids had a great time on the kayaks and the neighbors very friendly.Good place to sit on the porch and relax.

Family vacation

My family, as well as my parents and siblings, stayed here for 4 days. The kids enjoyed fishing during the morning and night. Location is really close to the beach. Would stay here again.

Fabulous Location

The house was exactly as advertised on the listing. The neighborhood is perfect for a quiet, family focused vacation. The canal had some good fishing for the kids (they caught mullet and pinfish!). Be sure to have mosquito spray! The house was clean and very comfortable. No issues at all chrcking in or out. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Relax on Bay Canal

This home was perfect for our group of 7. We loved the apartment downstairs. Great for the late fishermen. We all had comfortable beds. A/c worked great. Eventho it rained every day….we were able to fish off the deck. Even caught a few trout. Kitchen seemed well stocked…could have used a couple more kitchen towels and a can opener. Other than that…we’ll definitely be back next year. Thank you for a great little house.

Clean, Refreshing and Good Location

This house was very clean and comfortable. Recent severe storms had the tide higher than normal, but you could not tell by the condition of the house interior. The a/c was awesome and the tile plank floors were great for our dog. While the fish were not biting, the green light (exterior, not submerged) worked well. I enjoyed staying in the ground floor king suite, as I was able to fish late and not keep the spouse and daughter up. The suite had it's own small fridge, which was also convenient for keeping beverages cold while fishing. Fish were hard to locate everywhere in West Bay after the recent storm. The proximity to convenience stores and grocery helps as well.

We had a good stay. The only thing is that we were not able to use downstairs apartment due to high water surge. Only used 2 nights of our stay. 2nd night woke up to water in room. Hope you get some reimbursement do to this issue

We rented the house as additional space for a family gathering we had at our own house in Jamaica beach. Right down the street, so it was perfect!

Spring Break Get Away

We enjoyed our time at the Bahama way house. Check in was easy and the location was perfect. 20 minutes from all the action in Galveston. We added and extra day because we didn’t want to leave! The houses had everything we needed to have a good stay. The guys loved being able to fish off the dock. We had great luck with the fish and also caught a crab. We rented a golf cart from a local shop and were able to drive back and fourth to the beach on it. Highly recommend Mario’s pizza for an easy take out night. Only negatives were upon arrival we were a bit disappointed there was so paddle boat. We tried the canoe next but it slowly started to retain water from a small crack my husband found. The kids still thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks. This was my first time doing a VRBO. Now that we’ve vacationed this way we could never go back to a hotel again!

Great time with family!

We enjoyed our stay at this canal home! We had teens and tweens with us and they enjoyed the kayaks and canoe so much that they never wanted to leave for the beach. There’s plenty of room here, and the deck upstairs is amazing. The home faces north so you get all of the beach breeze! The downstairs separate apartment was great for the teens since they like to stay up late. Our boys enjoyed fishing and crabbing as well. The host was also very responsive. The property was clean and nice. Great place for families!

Perfect location!

The house was perfectly located for tons of swimming and fishing. Even for just relaxing on the canal. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great Place for a GREAT Price

We loved our time at this cute little house. Location was perfect for our family of 5 and our friends' family of 4. We had kids from 8 months old to 5 years old and they loved the house. The upstairs had some locking gates that were handy to keep the parents worry free while the kids could be outside and not have to fear them being too close to the water unattended. Only complaints were that we couldn't catch a fish to save our lives, and the mosquitoes were absolutely vicious! Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice canal home

The check-in process was simple. We loved having a separate downstairs living space and the outdoor shower. The kids had a blast on the kayaks and paddle boat. We really didn't have any issues, except be very careful if it rains, my son had a bad fall on the stairs. Kitchen was well stocked and coffee was provided.

Great place for big family

The back deck was amazing. Everyone was able to fish off the back dock. The paddle boats and kayaks were enjoyed by all. It was me and my four boys, my DIL, my older brother and his family and my parents. The beach is just across the stop light. Very easy to navigate to. The house was roomy enough for all of us. We had great communication with the owners. We plan to go again next year!

Just what we needed

The property was exactly what we needed for our week at Jamaica Beach. We loved the layout and the extra downstairs area. The canoe was probably the most fun out of all the boats available. The grill was a little small so be prepared. It was a great week! We will be back!

Fun Bay House

This is a cozy canal house in Galveston. It is updated in an older neighborhood with lots of fun near Galveston. Beds are very comfortable.
