14 Hickman St. - Professionally Managed by Coldwell Banker Premier.
An amazing location in South Rehoboth Beach with space for everyone - that is exactly what awaits guests at 14 Hickman Street. Just a half block from the beach and boardwalk, this remodeled vacation rental features a total of five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. While being a two story home, guests will love taking advantage of the opportunity for single-story living, as there is a primary suite located on the first floor. Completing the entry level of this home is a spacious living area that flows out from the kitchen and dining space, plus a half-bath. On the upper level of this rental home, guests will find the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms. Two of these bedrooms are complete primary suites, while the other two bedrooms share a hall bathroom. Indoor living is just part of what makes this home great. Off the living area, guests are treated to an enclosed porch and deck. This outdoor living space is ideal for enjoying the salty summer breezes as they come in off the ocean.

The private driveway has off street parking for 3 cars and an EV Charger is available..

This is a non smoking unit and pets are not permitted.

A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week's stay is $323.50.

7 Night Stays- June through mid October
2 Night Stays- Jan through May and October through December

All VRBO reservations are a booking request only until confirmed by Property Manager. You will be required to sign a Residential Lease Agreement and make your payment within the required deadlines provided or your booking request will be cancelled. As a property manager, we welcome “Special Event” rentals. All properties are individually owned and not all properties are available for “Special Event” rentals. Credit Card payments subject to 2% fee.

Exceptional Beach House

14 Hickman is an exceptional property. A short walk to the beach, the house is inviting with a front porch, back deck, nice fenced in yard, and enough parking for 3 large vehicles. The interior was clean, spacious, well decorated, and had enough living spaces (den, family room, sun room, kitchen area) and bedrooms for our family of 10 to spread out. The kitchen had ample space and equipped with all the necessities and then some, like a counter top ice maker that produced enough ice to meet our needs. Kudos to Joseph Gallagher for working with us early in the year to find and lockin this property for our annual beach week.

Great Location!

Easy to walk to the beach and downtown Rehoboth! Really spacious and big place. Only downside was paying separately for the linen package. Otherwise would highly recommend staying here for a getaway!

Wonderful vacation!!

We stayed at this house with 3 adults and 5 teens/pre-teens. The home was beautiful and spacious and fit us perfectly! We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time out there. The kitchen was large and well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. And the extra ice maker was definitely a plus! The location was amazing - short walk to the beach, boardwalk, and downtown. We absolutely loved it!!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed in the cleanliness/age of the bathrooms and furniture. Also several lamps did not work. The TV offerings were unsatisfactory (no major real-time network programming). That said, the house was nice and spacious and handy to the beach. The property has a lot of potential. If the bathrooms were renovated and the furniture was cleaned or replaced, it would be a five-star rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 14 Hickman is perfectly located near the beach and downtown. Great for large family gatherings. We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had been recently renovated. The bathrooms could use updating. There were several maintenance issues that had to be managed while we were there (exterminator came to deal with ants in the kitchen, A/C unit replacement, broken microwave repair attempt) and we had to replace the grill's propane tank. While the issues were frustrating, Bill from Coldwell Banker was very responsive in helping us communicate with the owner and manage the issues as they arose.

Great Location, Lots of Space-Plumbing issues, and not very clean

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the location of this spacious home, and the driveway was big enough for 4 large vehicles. It was disappointing that three of the four bathrooms needed to be serviced by a plumber while we were there, Bill and Beth were very helpful in getting that taken care of pretty quickly.After the first plumbing incident, the plumber left a mess in toilet, which we had to clean ourselves. The second plumber that came cleaned up before he left. The kitchen was tidy, however the house was not swept, or vacuumed ( various things under the beds, including a used tissue, and a child's teething ring), and mold in the showers. The dryer was not working,( it took hours to dry one beach towel) so we were unable to make use of it. The sofa in the living room has seen better days, and the various outlets in the house didn't work, so it was difficult to charge our devices. We had to request another propane tank for the grill, and the internet, and TVs were frustrating to use, without any instructions, or information. I would really like to say more nice things, it's just a shame that such a nice property wasn't maintained to warrant a good review. For the price that I paid for this place, I feel like it shouldn't be too much to ask for a clean, functional vacation rental.

Very convenient.The house is in very good condition, with some nice recent upgrades - lighting, TV's, flooring, kitchen appliances, bedding. Kitchen is well-equipped with cookware, tableware, and flatware.The washing machine has seen better days, and mysteriously just stopped working a couple of times. After 30 minutes or so, restarting it worked. Gremlins. The dryer takes forever - I suspect the dryer vent could use a good clean-out, both for faster drying and for safety.

The air conditioners ar well over 10 years old . That doesn't seem very old, but, as I know from my own house, HVAC equipment is not lasting as long as it used to. It was very hot, and the first floor AC stopped working. An agent told us someone would be there within an hour. Three hours later, I called again, and a repairman showed up . A toilet was not flushing after it was plunged by various people. It was quickly repaired. The ice-maker on a relatively new refrigerator was not working when we arrived. We bought bags of ice. It was fixed after a call. A kitchen chair was broken in its back. I had called about so many things, I just left it in a corner of the living room where we found it. Are the bedspreads washed or cleaned between guests?
