Welcome to Quiet Oaks- a modern, family-friendly Outer Banks retreat tucked into a peaceful Kill Devil Hills neighborhood, close to both the beach and the sound.

Spend your mornings biking through the neighborhood, your days at the beach, and your evenings relaxing in the spacious fenced backyard. Public beach access and the sound are each about a 10-minute walk away, and neighborhood walking and biking trails make it easy to explore without getting in the car.

Inside, the home is bright, comfortable and designed for families and groups to spread out. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a separate lower-level living space with its own kitchenette, there's plenty of room to enjoy time together while still having space to unwind.

We make beach days easy: guests have access to bikes, beach chairs, an umbrella, beach wagon, coolers, and beach toys- so you can pack less and enjoy more.

After the beach, rinse off in the convenient outdoor shower, relax in the fenced backyard, play yard gams, hangout in the hammocks, or settle in for a comfortable evening at home.

You'll also be close to restaurants, coffee shops, mini golf, shopping and many of our favorite OBX activities, while coming home to a quiet setting away from the busiest areas.

Quiet Oaks is the kind of place we love for an Outer Banks vacation- close to everything, but peaceful when you're ready to slow down.

The hosts communication was top notch, she was very responsive which was nice. The house is very convenient to not only the beach and sound but to the grocery stores, restaurants, everything that OBX has to offer. The house was pretty clean, I have wildly high standards when it comes to cleaniness, so there were a few areas that needed touch ups but loved that most everything in the house was in white or a neutral color. We had a great stay and would stay here again!!!

LOVED this property! Perfect proximity to the beach, grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops and entertainment. Appreciated the convenience of beach towels being provided as well as beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon. Communication with the owners was great, quick to respond any time we had a question. Our family enjoyed staying here and was sad when it was time to leave! Looking forward to planning another trip!

The beach house was a true cozy escape with close driving access to the beach. With having two young kids, walking across the main road didn’t feel safe.

Amazing Spring Break Getaway!

We had the most incredible stay during our family spring break trip! The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed—and more. Having an espresso machine was a game changer! The kids loved the cozy vibes and peaceful surroundings. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the hosts were thoughtful and responsive. We made unforgettable memories here and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful cozy house!

We had such a lovely time at this home. It had every amenity that we needed plus some! Everything was brand new, super clean and it really felt like home. Our hosts were so welcoming, giving us all the jnfo we needed and responded to us immediately each time we messaged them. It was wonderful to have bikes at the house so we could bike to the sound, plenty of beach chairs for us to lounge at the beach and overall just everything we needed in a wonderful location. Would absolutely recommend this house to anyone!!!

Beautiful, tidy, clean & quiet

Last minute booking, and so very delighted with our stay. Adorable and as perfectly pictured. Clean, tidy, very comfortable. Towels, beach towels, dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, shampoo, conditioner, dishes, cooking utensils, spices, TP, paper towels, bikes, soap, espresso machine, coffee machine, fantastic hammocks and cleaning supplies are all included. Would recommend bringing a book light if you are a bed reader. Thanks to Kristen & Sheldon for a great stay!

Beautifully decorated space with lots of room to hang out and sleep. The walk to the beach was easy and all the amenities made it so fun. Property was very clean and communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. The whole experience was wonderful. Would definitely come back to this location and stay. Awesome experience and good fun! I felt like it was a true OBX experience stay at their home! It was a quiet neighborhood full of local residents so it took me away from feeling too touristy. Kristen recommended riding bikes on the sound within the neighborhood and that was truly so fun! A highlight of my experience! The house is not far from beach or sound. The beach is a 2 min drive or you can walk 4 blocks and be there. The beach was beautiful and perfect for swimming. Crystal clear water. The house was as pictured! Check in and out was super easy and beds were comfortable and perfectly clean. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to be back again in the future! Thank you so much Kristen!!

Fantastic Beach House!

We wouldn’t change a thing with this home! The owners obviously put a lot of thought in to every amenity! The home was well equipped with little special touches throughout the home. The fenced backyard has a gate that makes getting to the beach that much closer and easier! We will definitely return!

Clean, comfortable, stylish new home

This is a very comfortable, recently remodeled/built home with stylish decor. Check in and check out were simple and easy, neighborhood is quiet, centrally located on the Outer Banks, house is in very good condition and kept very clean and tidy. If I am being very picky some bedside lamps in the bedrooms would be nice as well as extra towels and washcloths for bathrooms and kitchen, but towels that were provided were of high quality and very nice. Lots of amenities with this house - streaming services, bikes, beach equipment, outdoor grill - loved it!

Amazing house and great location

Overall the house was great. We stayed for about a week and everything was up to date and rightly placed. The house felt so comfy and we never wanted to leave. The house was spacious and everything was plentiful for all of us. The grocery store and the beach are walking distance from the house. The house's location is great as it is close to many restaurants, attractions, and stores. There was an issue with wasps outside on the porch, but the host was responsive and arranged to fix the problem immediately. Highly recommend this house. Thanks for hosting us.

Great house and great location

It was the first time our group were able to get together. Two couples, myself and 2 kids. One couple stay in the lower level and the rest of us stayed upstairs. There was plenty of room. We found beach gear in the garage along with a cooler and bikes. The beach is a short walk. The neighborhood has a nice trail to take walks. Short drive to H2O water park and Wright Memorial. Close shops and grocery store. We had a great time!

Family had plenty of space. It was very clean, airy and accommodating. The area was quiet and close to everything. It was nice to have bikes and beach items already there that was in good quality shape. The family enjoyed playing multiple indoor and outdoor faces that were available. Check in/check out was so easy. The best place to stay.

As advertised

The host was very helpful anytime we had questions. We took lots of supplies for the kitchen because most places have just the basics in dishes, cleaning supplies, storage etc. We didn’t need most of what we took! There were plenty of spices, dishes, trash bags, handi wrap etc.

We're a family who genuinely loves the Outer Banks and everything that comes with it- beach days, surfing, biking, exploring local spots and slowing down by the water. We created Quiet Oaks as a place our own family would love to stay, and we enjoy sharing our favorite part of the OBX with other families. We've tried to make the home comfortable, well-equipped and easy to settle into so guests can spend less time worrying about the details and more time enjoying their vacation.

We fell in love with this neighborhood because it gives us the best of both sides of the Outer Banks. Quiet Oaks sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, giving the home a peaceful, tucked-away feeling while still being close to everything. We can walk or bike toward the beach in one direction and head to the sound in the other, while still coming home to a peaceful residential setting away from the busier main road. The neighborhood has walking and biking trails, and we love being able to bike to nearby activities like mini golf. It's also centrally located in Kill Devil Hills, making it easy to explore Nags Head, Manteo, Duck and the rest of the Outer Banks.

The 4-bedroom, 3-bath layout also includes a separate lower-level living area with its own kitchenette, giving families and groups extra room to spread out while still vacationing together.
