Our family had the best vacation! The house is better than pictured. Very clean and has everything you need. The backyard was perfect for swimming, relaxing and fishing. We caught some beautiful sunsets. We hope to be back!

Prefect family getaway

Hosts were great at communication start to finish. If I had any trouble their previously sent email and text messages helped me get through it. House was clean. Big kitchen with pots, pans and seasonings. Pool was clean (some leaves and bugs fell in but no fault to host). Screened outdoor patio and sunset views were great ! Access to wheel wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, kids sand toys, and a cooler. Thank you for hosting !

Perfection

What a great house and beautiful setting! This place was a comfortable fit for my 3 night stay in the area. The house itself was fantastic, but the screened-in porch, pool area and water views made the whole house choice so much more enjoyable and peaceful. You can’t go wrong staying here with its equipped kitchen — but there are also nice spots to eat close by if you’d rather go out. I would definitely stay here again!!!!

Awesome Sunsets

This property was a great find and we would definitely stay here again. Awesome lake views and beautiful sunsets. The saltwater pool and hot tub were wonderful and the water temperature was a perfect 88 degrees. The house was super clean and had everything you needed in a great kitchen. I fished from the dock some every day and caught several bass. The owner, Stu, was very responsive and helpful with the few questions we had during our visit.

Mermaid Cove left us with a great tale!

Upon arrival, we found a lovely, very clean, property with an atmosphere that was very beachy and serene. We had a wonderful time kayaking on the lake, fishing on the dock right in our yard, and swimming in the luxurious heated pool with hot tub. The property provided us with every luxury and comfort of home and more. The property was also located in an area with plenty to do Including a waterpark, and miniature golf within walking distance. The neighborhood was a great place to ride bikes which were also provided, as well as taking leisurely walks around the lake. Not only was it a relaxing and comfortable experience, it was also a very affordable vacation as well. We can’t say enough good things about our experience. The owners, Stu and Cathy, provided us with an email prior to arrival and before departure with easy to understand instructions with everything we needed to know about the property. Their contact information was also available in case we encountered any problems, which we did not. We are already planning our next vacation with Sea Schell vacation rentals.

There are hardly words to summarize our experience at Mermaid Cove! From the moment we walked in, we felt like it was a dream! It was fun to pretend this was our forever home! The attention to every single detail, the ambiance, the truly welcome feeling is sweet! Your home is so clean, the linens are luxurious! From lounging by the pool, relaxing in the hot tub or fishing or kayaking, there was never a need to search for something to do!! We will be back!!!

Relaxing vacation

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Mermaid Cove.This was our second home we have rented from Stu and Cathy and they are decorated beautifully and very clean.The sunsets from the pool overlooking the lake were breathtaking Our grandkids certainly enjoyed the pool as we did.Highly recommend renting this beautiful home for your next vacation!

Spring break 2024

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. The boys did not catch any fish, but had fun trying. The pool and hot tub were great. We traveled to several beaches nearby. The beach towels, umbrella, chairs and cooler were great to have available. Communication with the host was good. Check in and out were seamless.

Family Fun and Relaxation

The house was very clean and neat. Very nicely decorated. The outside property had a spectacular view and the pool was nice and warm. We didn't want to get out of it!! All in all, we had a great time!! Would definitely rent again or one of their other properties.

The Perfect Set-Up

My wife and I were looking for the perfect get-away yo enjoy the southwest Florida Spring. We certainly found it with this Mermaid Cove property hosted by Stu and Cathy. The house was in tip-top shape. They ensured outstanding attention-to-detail. With regard to decorating, the house is done in an up-to-date, tasteful manner. The provisioning of housewares, linens, etc. were well above average. This place is a sure fire bet!!!

This home away from home was everything we expected and more! The home was beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed for our week in paradise. Wonderful location and beautiful property!

We really enjoyed our week long stay. The private pool and spa were used daily. The dock overlooking the lake was a nice peaceful place to take in the sunsets. We were able to take a day trip to Sanibel and Captiva islands and made multiple visits to the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam location. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful property with its excellent location!

Great stay & location

Great quiet location. Lots of things to do. Didn’t catch any fish but had a great time trying. Saw a lot of them. Just weren’t biting. Very clean property. Had a great time.

Family Vacation

This home was just as described. The pool was great! My husband caught fish from the dock daily. It was a great relaxing vacation. This is a beautiful home nicely decorated and the kitchen has everything you need to cook with. We had a wonderful week!

The house has everything for a great vacation!

The house is equipped with everything you need for a great vacation. While we were there we had a few unfortunate problems. The hot tub would work on and off and was down for 3 days of our trip and there were bugs on the counter tops in the kitchen that got into our food. Other than that the trip was great. The house had everything for a beach trip and everything to cook meals in house. Great location. Beds were comfy. Fun time.

LOVED Mermaid Cove!

We loved staying that the Mermaid Cove. There were seven of us. Two sets of parents and three teenage gals. We all had enough space to do what we wanted to in the house. The pool and hot tub were fantastic along with fishing off the dock. We really appreciated all the "extras" available to us. Beach towels, pool floaties, chairs, wagon, and umbrellas for the beach. The kitchen is AMAZING! We had all we needed to cook. I would go back to this home in a second...but also want to check out their other properties.

Mermaid House is Lovely!

The house was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, extremely clean! The kitchen island and master suite with claw foot bath tub was my favorite! My family loved the pool and spa! Stu and Kathy were amazing hosts and very accessible with questions. We would definitely stay again!!

Great location and amenities.

Great experience. My wife and I have been renting VRBO homes both internationally and domestic for many years. This home is ranked very high with us. Very clean, easy instructions and well equipped. The screened in area in back towards the water was so relaxing. The pool and spa were the perfect temperature. We would recommend this home to our friends.

We fell in love with this property for several reasons. The Lake View is amazing, the sunsets are stunning, but the setting is undeniably unique. Sitting on the Patio at night watching the Eagles swoop down to pick fish out of the water, the birds and wildlife across the lake.. amazing. The heated pool, The Spa, the decor it all leads to a unique private resort eco-experience. The Game Room will be up and operational by late Fall 2022. We supply Kayaks, Fishing Gear, Life Jackets, games, bikes, books, and a garage/game room and Smart TV's in every room. The bedrooms are separated with the Master on one side, and the two guest rooms on the other side. All bathrooms have been completely updated with new tiles, vanities, tubs. The Kitchen is all new, smart blue and white cabinets with quartz counter tops. Appliances are all new. The window seat overlooking the lake will make you want to curl up with a book. We have board games, a port a crib, booster seats and toys for the little ones. There is something for everyone here at Mermaid Cove.
