We wasted the first two hours of our trip because we couldn’t get ahold of Lisa. We ended up calling Vrbo and they couldn’t reach her either so they helped us get into another condo (while we’re outside waiting with groceries right at 4 at check in) I was very pleasant when first reaching out to Lisa saying that I was having trouble seeing where she sent check in instructions and tried to call her, text her and messaged her on Vrbo. At 630 she finally texted me asking if I got in and that she had send the passcode 4 months prior (which is concerning for security of her guests that she is sending a passcode 4 months ahead of time) and the message with this check in info was not in the Vrbo app. I told her we had booked elsewhere because we weren’t sure if we would ever get ahold of her. Her first response is that it was our responsibility to reach out to her for check in instructions with zero apology or understanding for the situation. We had even texted her the day before asking if an early check in was possible because our flight landed earlier in the day. She said no, which is totally understandable. We killed 4 hours then waited outside her condo with luggage and groceries for 45 minutes before starting to try to make another plan. There were lots of wonderful reviews for Lisa and maybe she was having an off day but If she would have responded with eve a tiny hint of understanding I wouldn’t have even felt the need to do a review.
