Great room, great view, great spot, elevators can be slow

Great room, great view, great spot, elevators can be slow and long wait during busy hours. Besides the elevators no complaints. Nice gym, nice pools. Nice beach, good room, great view, owner responded quickly to texts and MX teams assigned. We had a light bulb burn out in the master bedroom and they replaced it quickly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent 7 days in ocean view condo - 1 bedroom. The rooms were bright and airy. Nice colors. We enjoyed the stay but would suggest the property owner consider cleaning the couch and loveseat which were visibly stained and had an odor. The bedroom pillows had a bit of odor. Shower needed a better cleaning. The furnishings seemed a little outdated. Table and surfaces were a little sticky. We wondered if things had been cleaned after the last residents. The appliances worked well. TV had plenty to watch.

Long weekend

The surprise fees and excess charges were upsetting and costly. Far too expensive Elevators did not work and the wait was awful. Beach chairs were overpriced and the double fees from vrbo and property manager were excessive.

Don’t stay in 1912

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We paid a butt load of money to stay 5 nights in 1912 at Tidewater and it was awful from day 1. However we couldn’t afford another room so we had no choice but to stay here. Straight out the gate we get there and the AC isn’t working. The room was dirty. Mold on shower curtains, bed is very uncomfortable and makes an awful lot of noise even when you just sit on it, sounds like it’s gonna break. Ice maker didn’t work the whole time we were there. Coffee maker (Keurig) didn’t work the whole time. And yes we called and they sent maintenance to our room twice, the only thing that was fixed was the AC. Nothing else. Dryer also has rust inside the door and it ruined my towels and clothes. That’s just the room itself, onto the building. Elevators are HORRENDOUS. We were on the 19th floor and couldn’t just take the stairs so we would have to wait 10 mins - over an hour for an elevator to get to us. They had to start a putting employees in the elevators and allowing them to get people where they needed to go thank god for that otherwise we would’ve never left the room. Pools were nice. Hot tub was nice, food/bar was top tier. My only complaint about the Condo building was the elevators. They definitely need more and to make sure they all work when busy season hits. As for the room. I wouldn’t stay there again if you paid me. Honestly the owner of that room should offer us another 5 night stay for FREEEEEEE considering they don’t care about their guests having working appliances and a clean room to call home for a week.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to the condo at 4pm, and had pre-registered prior- and checked in on the 2nd floor. After waiting for the elevators to come, we finally made it up to the 19th floor, room 1912. We entered the condo around 4:45pm and it had not even been cleaned from the previous guests. There were feminine products and trash scattered all over. A cleaning lady finally did come to the room, and did a VERY brief cleaning job, explaining to me that they do not clean the air return vents in between guests unless they are scheduled for deep cleaning. I showed her how filthy it was with dust and dirt and she finally agreed to wipe it off, after I asked for the cleaning rag. I have photos of the condo upon our arrival. We had previously really enjoyed all 5 of the other stays we have had at Tidewater in the past couple years, however this stay was VERY disappointing to say the least. I had reached out and no one ever contacted me back about the room condition. Customer Service, Maintenance, Housekeeping and just overall attentiveness majorly needs improvement. Also elevators need upgraded! POOR system in place for the elevators.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Tidewater unit 1912 and had great vacation. Unit is big and well equipped. View of the beach and an ocean absolutely amazing. Kids liked bunk bed area and I appreciate huge amounts of towels in each bathroom. I contacted ECDI about few minor issues and it was fixed immediately (I asked for extra chairs for a balcony and a blanket for sleeping sofa). Kristine from ECDI was very helpful and we was very satisfied with her excellent costumer service. The only things about unit 1912 I didn't like it's that balcony door is hard to open for a kids, need strong hands and dryer is 22 y.old and take longer to dry clothes. Also Tidewater resort have huge waiting line by elevator and construction on a road, bad traffic. Will definitely rent from ECDI again, it my second year and costumer service is outstanding. But next year will pick different resort.

Great Springbreak

We stayed at this condo for a week during spring break. We love Panama City. The condo was as described, some reviews had said that condo was dirty, but when we arrived the condo was still being cleaned and they even had the stove pulled out cleaning behind it. The couch had a stains but I imagine it’s bc of past renters. The kitchen is small but doable. The resort building was a little disappointing with the lack of available elevators and non heated pools. I would reccomend this condo.

Unhappy and disappointed customer

The location is great. Stayed at Tidewater Beach Resort for many years. The condo was a big disappointment. Floors were dirty, furniture was scratched up and very dusty. Dirty dishes were inside the kitchen cabinets. A dirty bath cloth was left in the bath tub from the previous renter. I will never rent this condo or recommend it to anyone. Paying for a cleaning fee for this condo was a big joke. Maybe the next renter will have a cleaner experience.

So disappointed

I was so disappointed with this unit. It was not clean! There was mold on the shower curtains in both bathrooms. The furniture was nasty dirty and falling apart (kitchen bar stools). There was sand all over the floor as soon as we got there. Behind the bunk beds, next to the wall there was so much trash that it filled an entire trash bag (food, crayons, paper, etc.). The pots and pans were dirty and had to be scrubbed before we could use them. The bed in the master bathroom was sooo uncomfortable. I'm okay with things not being up to date, but I can't do dirty! This is not to mention that the outdoor pool is not heated and was so cold, we couldn't go swimming the entire vacation. I did contact the rental property about the dirt and mold and they sent a gentleman up to clean and fix the bar stools. He was very kind, but even admitted that things were not as they should be. I would definitely look for a different place when staying in PCB.

the location is good , close to shopping center and eating places . Perfect view . Thew floors was very dirty , I used three buckets of water to clean the floors , There no hooks in a bathroom to hang the clothes while taking shower . Very little space for clothing ( no dresser ) . Pilling paint of the kitchen cabinets . Sliding door to a balcony very hard to open . Balcony floor need sealing .

Location is Great

The property was decent. The beds were not comfortable. The master needs to be replaced, you can feel the springs. The bunk beds were lumpy and my kids ended up sleeping in the fold out. We did see the biggest roach of my life on the balcony but not inside. The couch needs a good cleaning as it is stained alot. We did have to clean the floors when we first arrived but thats wasnt terrible to do. The location was awesome! The elevators were the worst part. On average each trip on the elevator was 30 min so add that into your day and plan accordingly. Overall property wasnt bad but due to the elevators and roach we will not stay at the Tidewater again.

Disappointing & Dirty to say the Least!

The unit was not clean when we arrived. The floors were dirty, the couch and loveseat were gross & had multiple stains& dried food on them, the shower curtain in the master bedroom had mold on it, the dryer was ridiculously loud & took multiple cycles to dry a regular load, the bar stools were stained and several of the seats on them weren't attached, the metal patio chairs are rusted very badly and broken, the master bedroom mattress is very noisy when sitting or laying on it & not very comfortable, most of the drawers in the entertainment center in the living room are broken, there was sand in the drawers in both nightstands in the master bedroom (we lived out of our suitcases), the ceiling vents are rusting in the bathrooms, the A/C vent in the master makes a rattling noise Constantly, the ceiling fan in the master makes a squeaking sound, the flatware, pots & pans weren't clean & are in need of replacing, the ice maker in the freezer didn't work, & the coffee table top is practically coming off. Plus, we basically did the full maid service for them before leaving, per the owners instructions they send you. I've never been expected to strip the beds in a rental before leaving before, but we did as requested. When we stripped the master bed sheets off, we discovered as large blood stain below....Gross! Elevators take FOREVER! Overall, this condo was nowhere near worth what we paid to stay here & we will not be staying here again. Disappointing to say the least.

Expectation VS Reality

The listing description was inaccurate to say the least. The listing states new furniture however, half of the chairs in the condo were unsafe because they were falling apart. The patio furniture was rusting apart with sharp edges and was unsafe for my family to sit and enjoy the balcony. The bed felt like a bag of coil springs. The microwave and ice maker did not work so we had to use the oven or stove to heat/reheat food and we had to keep buying bags of ice. Plan on buying better toilet paper and paper towels unless you prefer single ply. Also, plan on bringing or purchasing trash bags as you are only left with one each for your entire stay. They charge a cleaning fee in the booking but the floor is absolutely disgusting and will turn your feet black within a few steps. Be prepared to pay an additional “tax” when you arrive to use the parking garage and gain access to the facilities. If it is breakfast, lunch or dinner time, first thing in the morning, late afternoon, or evening… be prepared to take the stairs or wait 30+ minutes to catch an elevator. As half of them aren’t running or everyone in the building is waiting on them. If you have issues with the rental or need assistance from the property manager, don’t bother trying to message them because they won’t get back to you. We made our issues known the second day of our stay and we didn’t get a response until the last day. We were there for a week. Great view though.

Summer Family Vacation

The property itself wasn’t bad. Housekeeper isn’t have the condo cleaned and ready for us and we arrived over an hour after check in time. No contact via phone or email to let us know. The dryer makes a horrible noise so you couldn’t stand to dry your clothes. On our last full day while at the beach we came back up to find that the laundry service they use had been in the condo and we had no idea and all of our things were in the condo. Would have been nice to have been informed of this. Tidewater itself needs to work and keep the elevators working better.
